Well I really liked a lot about this episode. Marcus is loyal to Diana! I think Joshua will be eventually returning to the 5th column. I loved Ryan in this episode. Lisa taking some space from Tyler. 5th Column being proactive and trying to hit Anna where it hurts. As a Jack/Erica shipper, I dd not really enjoy her hookup with Hobbes. But I agree it was hot. I think Jack and Erica both need to figure out what they are comfortable doing as far as collateral damage, each of them seems to not be quite there yet.
I'd vote for AWESOME for Erica/Hobbes xD but it was an okay episode .. I really don't like this new Erica.. biggest surprise is Marcus .. he's gonna betray Anna (or might not) .. loved that bit the most!
Wow that was one awkward sex scene! I think if Hurley and Juliet hooked up there would have been more chemistry! Yowza...
Dianna has added something fun to the show... and more than just a third split of Lisa's allegiance.
Lisa is becoming a bit of a mess as a character. All you have t do is hug her, or be nice to her and her mommy issues come out and she is confused. They need to make her less a tool and more a weapon....
Like the Ryan redemption plot, hate the baby/ toddler, next week is she a teenager?
The V's need to find a way to grow Tyler some more hair... and then kill him. Okay, I'd be happy if they killed him before they genetically altered his hair.
Love the DNA twist as it's unraveling.
Love Marcus being a F.O.D. (Friend of Dianna) and maybe Fifth Column. Are his loyalties to Queen 1 or Queen 2... or future Queen 3 in the end?
Overall a pretty good episode , but not as strong as the last few for me.
Marcus being Diana's queen! I love this twist! Anna won't see it coming! Did I already told you how many times I loved Diana ? Yes, I did. I want her back if the show is renewed.
Hobbes/Erica : I knew it was coming (and I watched a dozen times this particular sneak peek), I think that or Sarah is really dead, or she'll be dead soon (he knows that Visitors are specialized in "happy endings") or he lied, which I doubt. BTW, in Birth Pangs Samantha Ferris was credited and we didn't see her! I think it's a deleted scene, his private detective can have answers about Sarah. I think that whatever if Sarah is dead (I am convinced that she is and Visitors wants to make Hobbes believe that she's alive and I'm sure Visitors killed her) or not, Joe died for nothing and could have been an incredible ally. I think that despite the fallouts of the imminent revelation (I am sure that Jack saw Hobbes around the building before the explosion), Hobbes will stay in the team, I just can't see him being Visitors' best friend, especially after what they done to him and Sarah. Erica will still need him to keep the fight on, but will keep her distances. And I do smell like a pregnancy for Erica...
As for Erica's darkness, it is normal. She's lost a son, and her former husband. She'll do whatever it takes to fight Anna, and now that Anna knows that Fifth Column lives, she doesn't have enough time to prepare an effective attack. But she's absolutely right, someone has to do something, and EM said to EW she wanted Erica to be badass. And I love badass Erica! Even if, I am a bit shocked. (not by hooking up with Hobbes - certainly not! - by the sudden idea of sacrificing people like human bombs, which didn't work).
Jack : I am so bored by this character. He won't make it at the end, I am sure and I really hope. I am done with his morals, I agree with Erica, we're at war, innocent people will die, but few innocents can die to save human kind. And, he didn't prove his useful skills since he joined the resistance, just made some noise.
Ryan/Joshua : If I was disappointed by Joshua and Ryan, I like how Ryan "refreshed" Joshua's memories, let's hope he'll join back Fifth Column! Ryan is Diana's son ? OMG didn't expect that!
Poor little Jennifer, I only want "Amy" to know that Anna killed her mother.
And as for Jack I find so unfair that Erica treats him like that. Come on, have a little faith on the guy. After all if she says "Jump" his answer is always "how far?". He'll do whatever she asks him to do. It’s true. At first he’ll probably would had disagreed but at the end, he’ll come along. He always do. You just has to ask. But no, you had to make him feel like his is not a valuable part of the team. Great Erica, just great. I’m beginning to dislike this new Erica... a lot.
At last, we know Marcus secret: He's not Fifth Column. He's loyal to Diana.
SUCH a great episode. That sex scene seemed kind of out of the blue, although there was a build-up between the two of them for the last episode or two. Was it hot? Oh, yeah.
Tyler needs to be killed off. His only purpose on the show right now is to have someone to annoy the viewers. His death will serve as another drive for Erica to blow Anna's ship up.
I love Diana, although there seems to be a secret agenda to her plans.. Maybe she wants to regain power?
I liked the Erica/Hobbes hookup, but I wish that Erica hadn't turned so hard core so fast. The only vulnerable moment she had with Hobbes was saying she wasn't sure how she was holding up. I wish she had opened up a bit more about what she was feeling after the attack. It's obvious she cared that those people died, but I think admitting to it in front of Jack would have been counterproductive. He would have exploited her emotional state, and that would not help with the offensive side of things.
She's going to have to make a lot of tough decisions and she needs someone who understands that. Which is why I like her and Hobbes together. Unfortunately, I don't think she'll forgive him for his part in Joe's death. I can tell that revelation is going to be even harder to take now that they've slept together. He told Erica that the woman he cared about was dead. She might be, or she might be a prisoner of the Vs and soon dead, but he technically lied to her about it. Considering how hard she took Ryan's betrayal, I think she's going to take this one a lot worse.
Also, I totally saw Marcus being loyal to Diana coming. Ryan being Diana's child makes total sense as well, so I'm not too surprised that he is loyal to her.
I can't wait to see what happens next and who dies in the coming episodes. Jack's reaction to Erica/Hobbes is going to be very interesting...
I thought the episode was pretty good, even if they didn’t accomplish much in the end OMG! The Erica/Hobbes scenes were amazing, I just hope it lasts They always had amazing chemistry and great banter, but they also have similar backgrounds. Kyle was SAS, he was one of the good guys. Erica is an FBI agent and before that probably a cop. So they were both fighters, for a right cause. They both lost someone they cared about and that made them shut down emotionally. Kyle is showing sings of returning to his former self ( and I’m sure so will Erica soon), now that he feels remorse and started caring about the people he works with They’re both Resistance. Erica has personal problems with Anna (smackdown coming I hope), Kyle, with Anna second in command Marcus/Thomas (would love to see a smackdown between him and Thomas). Oh, and they both like boxing and professional boxing Too much potential there, they’re perfect for each other
Also loved the interractions between Kyle and Science Man
I liked Jack in the beginning, but lately all his storylines seemed forced at the very least and he was terrible to Erica this episode, so I certainly wouldn't mind if he did go
One scene was missing in Birth Pangs, it was with the private detective with Hobbes in season 1, maybe she has answers about "Sarah status". But knowing Visitors specialty to destroy people and their families, I think she's really dead. The way Hobbes said it to Erica means one thing, he can't save her whatever he stays with the resistance or betray them. I think that Ryan may tell everyone about Hobbes indirect involvment in building's explosion in Siege.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Awesome episode !
ReplyDeleteLots of surprises which I love.
ReplyDeleteAnd hot.

ReplyDeleteI certainly didn't like Erica with Hobbs. And Tyler needs to realize If he Is being so indifferent to Lisa other guys will be over her.
ReplyDeleteThey did further hint at vistors practcing Incest and Inbreeding with Diana's commit of Ryan as one of her
children.
And the big shock was Diana sending Lisa to marcus and telling her she trusts him.I can't wait to find out more on that.
I'd vote for AWESOME for Erica/Hobbes xD but it was an okay episode .. I really don't like this new Erica.. biggest surprise is Marcus .. he's gonna betray Anna (or might not) .. loved that bit the most!

Dear V writers,
ReplyDeleteyou were doing great lately, but in this particular situation you couldn’t be any more predictable even if you tried. You had the opportunity of not being so cliché but you decided to do what we’ve seen already in hundreds of tv shows. “Bad boy always gets laid first!” Let me guess how it will end: in a couple of episodes, Erica will discover that Hobbes was the one responsible for the gun fight that killed Joe and she’ll get angry. There’ll be a big argument, threats and she will lean on Jack. Am I right? Yeah? That what I thougth. Well done! *sarcasm off*
And as for Jack I find so unfair that Erica treats him like that. Come on, have a little faith on the guy. After all if she says "Jump" his answer is always "how far?". He'll do whatever she asks him to do. It’s true. At first he’ll probably would had disagreed but at the end, he’ll come along. He always do. You just has to ask. So many twists & turns and a pretty damn good romance going on. ;D
ReplyDeleteErica/Hobbes hook up = worst thing ever. I do like Hobbes, I think he's quite hot. Just don't like him with Erica.
