Freaking awesome! I want to find out what happened in Omaha! Want fic now! And poor Rufus and Gwen and kinda Samuel. But I loved everything about this episode!
WOW! Omg from the moment Dean shot ...... damn lol oh GWEN! I was hooked. It was soooo great indeed there are none awesome NO MORE campell I got so scared they would cary this story into the possible season 7.
OMG when we saw the boys at the end I kept saying "I know bobbys alive, i saw the pics, i know he is okay C'MON SHOW UP lol" and then he did and I could breath.
I really LOVE bobby hhaaa, he was just so great in this ep.
I like rufus but I'm not gonna miss him. I'm not emotionly (?) attached to him like I was with elen and jo their death heart me. Crying through the whole thing this one I just was SO happy that bobby stayed alive!
AW I really liked it cant wait to read you comments guys hope it goes like last week :DDD
AND AWWWW!!!! (little pissed they didnt say SOON but any way) THE NEXT COUPLE OF EPS LOOK GREAT! Cas is putting them in the western ahahhaa. CAS IS THERE wow. I cat wait april 7?
Well, for one thing, the title makes sense now... Awesome episode!I was on edge the entire time.I'm gonna miss Rufus and I felt sorry for Gwen, though. But we got to see Samuel dying TWICE!What more can we ask for!?!?! Countdown begins now... : (
I liked Rufus, but I am very glad bobby is okay!!! absolutely fantastic episode, way better than I thought it would be. I missed the first ten minutes tho, gotta go back and watch it now!
Why can't I choose double awesome? It had me hooked from the first scene right to the last second. And Grandpa bought it. Yay! Felt sorry for Gwen though (never thought I'd be saying that) And poor Rufus. And poor Bobby
I enjoyed the ep! minus rufus dieing he was a fun guy to have around occasionally :P. my favourite line would have to be when they are electrocuting possessed Bobby, Sam: why do you keep talking about herpes? Dean: what? Sam: eye brow twitch Dean: shut up Sam: more brow furrowing (man he going to get wrinkle lines on that beautiful forehead of his) Dean: SHUT UP!
Cause we needed the campell to GO AWAY but we dont care about damn so then we needed a death that would make us sad = rufus = didnt work for me PWAHHHA
Moral of the story....Never pick upa half-dressed nekkidteen with bare feet.
Well Mother of All is Eve like I suspected. She's back...and she's still in her confirmation dress! After 2 well below average episodes and then a one off meta episode, back to the seasonal arc. FINALLY!
It's a hunters convention... everybody and their "Mother" is invited! "Agent.." "Agent..." "Apparently, you didn't get the call!"
This episode is yet another reason in a growing list of why sticking a tongue into an ear is not hot!
So it looks like Eve "whispers" in your ear and then you go homocidal? Does she unleash your inner most desire for sinor does she twist you?
Is it ever a good thing to be "goo positive"? Doubt it.... Goo-check *pokes fingers in ears*
So Dean and Sam kill Gwen and Samuel with little build up? I thought it would be more of a to do than that! And then there was.....
Kahn Worms on steroids can reanimate corpses? Hmmmm... K.
Of all the ways to go... having your worm-possessed bestfriend split your sternum with a hunting knife.... not my first choice!
I will miss Samuel as much as Rufus honestly. I loved the layers of disgust pileggi brought to Samuel ever time.
Sad that they brought Rufus back to kill him off, I was jus starting to like him. Samuel's dead? Twice? LOL. Informative ep, so Mother of All is Evil Eve, smh. Props to Possessed!Bobby, weird and sorta funny. Can't wait for them to be back.
I.LOVE.YOU : "This episode is yet another reason in a growing list of why sticking a tongue into an ear is not hot!" PWAHA.HA.HA.AH.AHAHHA I think you killed me. omg.
The suspense and pace earned it an "awesome." The emotional impact fell flat though. I felt like I was watching a slasher movie in which people keep dying and no one cares. So in that area it earned an "OK." I split the difference and voted "great."
It got a point for the early, unexpected death of Gwen. It lost a point because Dean seemed like he couldn't have cared less. It got a point for giving us a Rufus episode again. It lost a point for hinting at a great Omaha story but not telling us what that story was. It got a point for the gory way Samuel was killed. It lost a point for killing Samuel off before we saw any purpose for him being brought back from the dead.
So I guess all's good between Sam and Bobby again - without us getting any kind of one-on-one scene between the two of them?
Totally agree with what you are saying. I felt that way too. We lost 3 characters that have been on for a while now and they all happened without build up and with little time to feel anything after since another death( came fairly quickly. Usually deaths they important deaths occur late in the episode with a full build up and resonate... these all felt hollow to me too.
Dean has the hottest "I'm going to kill you" look known to man. Damn it was sexy! And he did it the whole episode. Reminded me of vampire Dean's look. Took satisfaction in Sam offing gramps the first time - jumped out of my seat when gramps came back for round two. But Dean's look...I'm going to have to watch the episode again to actually pay attention to the rest of the action ;)
And Sam's hair looks so much better. I think it has to be attached to how his soul is feeling that day :) Not my favorite episode this season because they offed Rufus...but I'll deal...no one really stays dead on Supernatural.
I was expecting Dean to be the one to kill Samuel, but I kinda think Sam deserved to do it after Samuel taunting him about what he did when he was soulless I think the shock value in having the three deaths was great. I doubt whether anyone was expecting that. I know I wasn't.
I think Gwen's death had AWESOME shock value, but then the next two had little if any for me. And to me... Gwen was the least important death so I felt the shock was wasted on her.
i guess for now all we get is the scene right after Sam kills Samuel and Bobby, Rufus and Dean all run up and Bobby sees Sam is okay and says "Thank God"
'And Sam's hair looks so much better. I think it has to be attached to how his soul is feeling that day' LMAO You're right his hair was beautiful in this ep. :D
It was a great episode! Could have been better if I didn't know from the start that Rufus was going to die....it took every emotional moment I could have if I didn't know
And Hey guys, I admit I was back since a lonnngg loonnngg time ago and under many accounts and names ^^; I just missed you too much to stay away
Just because she calls herself Eve doesn't mean that she's the Eve. After all, "Eve" literally means "source of life", so just as the Biblical Eve was the source of life for all humans, this monster "Eve" is the source of life for all monsters. It doesn't mean they have to be the same person (and it honestly would make no sense if they were the same person).
I'm not reading the comments because I want to go into the recap pure, but I loved the shock of Gwen's death. Everything else was icing on the cake. This is the first time I've voted awesome in weeks. It was my kind of episode - little emo, mytharc movement, lots of action, visceral/cathartic death, and two brothers and their surrogate father standing together against evil. What more could I want? (Except Rufus not to be dead.)
Oh and one more thing before I disappear: I'm betting there will be at least 1,000 fanfics on what happened in Omaha after this. If anyone reads a good one, let me know because I'm dying to hear what everyone thinks happened.
You know, I thought Jared looked like a freakin' model at Rufus' grave site... I was there feeling all sad and he totally distracted me.... I need a freeze frame on my Mom's live TV *sigh*....
The group goo check was great! I laughed almost as hard as when the all followed the flashlight beam and trip wire at the booby trap. All leaned the same, crooked their heads the same..... I rolled!
"So I guess all's good between Sam and Bobby again - without us getting any kind of one-on-one scene between the two of them?"
^ THIS. This is where my disappointment lies. When they came running in after hearing the gunshot and Bobby's eyes set on Sam and he says "Thank God" as if he's relieved Sam is alive, it STILL disappointed me because it means they must've fixed their differences offscreen. So much for getting to see a good one on one scene between Sam and Bobby onscreen. But then again this is Sam right? We never get to see his important moments between characters on screen, do we? *sighs* x_x
Sam's hair has been beautiful in the last few eps. It looked gorgeous in Mannequin when he and Dean are sitting on the Impala having coffees and Sam says he felt like he got hit by a planet. Mmmm, I loved how gorgeous his hair was. And it was gorgeous in French Mistake too. It looked beautiful in this episode as well. I think our lovely Jared got himself a bit of a haircut. I love the style he has going on with it right now as Sammy and all. I love his hair. <3
Nice story... great way to show the departure of minor (but important) characters not necessary anymore! However I'm still not pleased with the Adam situation. He is their brother and is apparently stuck in the cage and no one is having any kind of sympathy. As if writers completely ignored his character and in place of resolving his situation... they off with minor characters :T
The character stuff was great. Had me glued. At one moment (in the morgue) I looked at the screen and thought..."Yeah, those two could totally carry a show." And...no more Rufus. I'm really going to miss him. Have loved the actor since he did 21 Jump Street.
We're finally done with the Campbells. I still think that was a wasted opportunity. (Which I think is more because some of the preseason interviews set my expectation for one thing and what we got was something different.) The sad thing is though....I'm not sad to see the characters go.
Anyway, loved the episode...really have to watch it again.
Why the bloody freaking darn do we have to wait until April 15th?
My guess is that Eve will be THE Eve. The "10,000 years ago" reference made by Samuel falls directly into the timeline people consider for when "God created Man".
Supernatural does not follow The Bible directly anyway. They take well known Biblical myths and tweak them how they want and in ways they need to work with their story arc.A lot of talk about Purgatory all season and one way to look at Purgatory is that it's the place where those not free of the taint of sin on Earth go or where those who have sinned but are not truly evil go to atone before they make their way to Heaven and God's grace. The Eve would fall into one or both of those vague definitions.
Of course their are issues and problems people could point out, but there have been Biblical contradictions in many of Supernatural's Bible themes and story arcs. And of course The translation of Eve to Mother of All is a simple possibility for the name choice too. My guess however, is that they had "Eve" chosen and then hinted at who and what she was with the "mother of all" pseudonym that Bobby found.
The worm coming out of the ear like that is from an old syfy movie. I can't place it yet, but it looked really familiar. My first thought was that the herpes comment was related to that movie. Darn...now I'm off on another bizarre research jaunt. :-)
I'm getting the feeling... and correct me if I'm wrong...that you liked this episode just a little bit Rochey?
And you know what? It was freakin' awesome! I loved every single moment of it. And I loved everything you've said..... especially this: 'Sammy's told to take Dean for a walk.....WHAT IS HE, a Dog.....If he was he'd totally be an 'Alsatian' to Sam's 'Labrador' and Bobby's 'Bulldog'......Heeheee i'm so pleased with what i just said :))' hahahahahaha....... Love you Rochey..... you ALWAYS make me laugh :D :D :D
Yup me too! I never found him creepy despite the fact I loved to hate him. He will be missed by me, if for no other reason... he was one of (or the) best actor on the series.
I agree with a lot of your points and counter points. One of the issues I've had with the Campbell story is that I''m not convinced there real purpose to bringing Grandpa Campbell back other than what Crowley told us. (simply that he possessed a near encyclopedic knowledge of monsters of all kinds) It's on my list of cons for my season six overall review.
"I'm getting the feeling... and correct me if I'm wrong...that you liked this episode just a little bit Rochey?"
*jumps up and down clapping hands like a child*
JUST A LITTLE....JUST A LITTLE....ok i'm calm now...yeah it was AWESOME <33
"hahahahahaha....... Love you Rochey..... you ALWAYS make me laugh :D :D :D"
Awww thanks...i had a good laugh at the image of Dean alsatian....Sam Lab...and Bobby Bulldog....laughing at my own jokes...soooo Sad....but i love you more JillyAnne....Glomps more <33
"Rochey_1....how long did it take you to type this. I get so pooped reading these!"
I dunno.....time ceases to exist when i'm wired...hours maybe.....dedication YEAH!!!
Awwwww...Now i feel bad for 'pooping' *childish giggle* you out <33
"hope it doesn't take to much plaster to fix your wall. :-)"
I'm not worried about my wall......i'm worried about not being able to do a F**kin cartwheel...I mean how hard is it to get your legs in a straight line...Apparently very :D
that was awesome!! was on the edge of my seat that enitre episode dean shooting gwen was a massive shock so many people bought it tonight!! sam's headshot of grandpa creepy was amazing upset rufus is gone though, he was fun to have around i kept flashing back to croatoan with everybody shouting "it's not in me!!" that parasite monster thingo was creepy evil i wonder if they'll make up any more new monsters now too very ecited for the way the rest of this season is looking annoyed at this massive wait though
I don't get it. Dean still has some leftover sticky goo in his ear even after 'presumably' it has left his body, but Samuel doesn't even have a trace of it in his ear after Sam shot him. And it is still in him. Is that supposed to mean it can hide being in someone's body? Am I even making sense here or I'm just really confuse?
Otherwise great episode. I love it. Love Dean's killer face :)
Okay so they decided to retcon the whole "earth existed and then god came and took over"plot with this crap? The previous idea of Heaven arriving the and taking over the world from old gods was way more interesting than yet another bunch of bible crap.
Eve? Oh well, since the show writers wasted Lilith on being a cheap plot device instead of a competent enemy(but then again that would have required a coherent plot, which the whole Samocalypse fiasco was not), so they had to bring something equally old. I certainly hope that one day we will see the old adam too, which is possible with the show being milked for another season.
Eh, I miss villains like Azazel and his goons. Now they had...charm and gravitas and their plan looked mysterious and interesting(before season 4 crap started). Now every villain seems to be a generic earth-will-explode badguy
Episode itself was a disappointing. The plot of chasing a slug was just there so they could get rid of some extra characters, it was obvious that Bobby won't die and sam and dean will be okay. Seriously pissed at Rufus death, the character had a lot of potential, but considering this is "watch dean and sam cry and angst over bad life"show, its not surprising.
If they have made Dean and Sam kill bobby i would have dropped the show that second, because he is the last interesting character left.
Overall worse than previous episode, at least the previous one was funny.
interisting stuff there was no way they were gonna kill off bobby don't forget, azazels plan was to raise lucifer and birng on the apocalypse and end of the world his part was just smaller
This ep was literally awesome. Everything I could have hoped for and more, including the death (finally!) of Grandpa Creepy. Haven't been so happy to see someone die since Zachariah. Major tears for Rufus, he was one of my favourite recurring characters, and it was nice to hear some back story for him and Bobby, particularly as it cleared up one thing that's been bugging me since season 3: how the hell did Bobby get away with the murder of his wife? Obviously in later years, he would know about clean up, etc, but right then, a novice with no clue? He should (as he said in this ep) have gone down for murder, and it was a loose end that bugged me up until this episode. All in all, I'm happy to give this one 4.5/5 (the -0.5 was cos they killed Rufus...damn them).
Really disappointing! I thought 'Supernatural's last episode would be amazing. I pending between 'OK' and 'Awful'. The gore was nice but the whole 'Eve' reveal ruined everything. It doesn't make sense. I wonder when Adam will show up. It's like the little anti-christ in season 5 all over again, nice idea but it doesn't make sense in 'Supernatural's overall storyline.
Can't they at least develop the minor characters before they kill them off? So Gwen and Samuel died. Big deal. I didn't know enough about Gwen to care and Samuel's death seems more like a convenient way to get rid of plot holes at this moment. Maybe, I'm wrong and they will bother to explain how Samuel knew about 'Mother' being 'Eve' but I doubt it. 'Supernatural' has a history of introducing storylines and ending them with the death of a character. And they killed Rufus, knowing that the episode is called 'And then there were none' and that the brothers just die to freaking often, did make it obvious that he would. Sure, they could have killed Bobby too but it didn't seem likely. So Rufus, Gwen and Samuel welcome to the toxic waste dump of 'Supernatural's minor characters.
This was probably the best episode they've had all season. It was awesome. It was surprising about the deaths the way they happened. I never considered Gwen to be a bad person. I felt for her and the loss of Rufus is incredibly sad. I want to know about Omaha. I always considered Rufus to be one who was not as good a hunter, but Rufus trained Bobby? He considered Bobby to be the one who didn't know as much or got into trouble? Wow! Sam seems to be the only one who killed out of self preservation. It was well written, well directed, and the acting was superb. I'm gong to miss all three who died, only because I wanted Dean to have the chance to get his hands on Samuel. Maybe, in the long run, it's better he didn't.
Didn't Bobby say something about Rufus losing 'her' because of him? I'm thinking Rufus' wife got killed or something, although I can't imagine Rufus every getting back with Bobby after something like that.
hay the bible is in my opinion like not true as Jesus feeds like 10 guys with one bit of fish , lol please.Anyawys so glad they have changed it a bit . x
Yeh season 1-3 was just amazing classic azazel was so cool as a bad guy. Also the colt was just awesome. I dont like 4 much but 5 makes up for that with the devil .x
oh really? Wow if that's true she is brave hahaha! I thought that death mentionning him was enough HAHHA! "hey guys we know about adam, we'll let him rot in hell cause what the hell can we do with him" LOL but he is dead any way so if he gets out he should go to heaven or something... LOL
lol yeah it confused me too. With Dean they didnt know if the sticky thingy in the ear meant the thing was out or still in so it makes sense. With Granpa, it was still in so no sticky thing either :D
Yeah then shouldn't Samuel still has it when Bobby check on him? If it can hide the sticky thing when it is in someone, then it is pointless to check everyone's ear to know who the thing is possessing.
I've got to say Dean's speech at the end about 'wiping the slate' clean didn't feel right to me. It sounded more like another "I don't want to talk about this stuff, let's just put it out of our minds", thing. Dean doesn't let things go. I think he'd like to 'forget' he shot Gwen in cold-blood. Maybe he's wishing he could have been more forgiving of Samuel. Maybe he's hoping he can totally forget everything Sam did when he was souless, I don't know. It just didn't ring true for me. I think someone said maybe it was Dean's 'wishful thinking'...maybe so.
Adam is not dead in a way coz the cage is not hell! Well we all get mixed up becoz of Sam n Dean's dialogue but I understand that Cage is not hell... or it would've been easily accessible! But there's no point assuming... SPN has weird ways of twisting things around (Which I admire and detest at the same time. :P). @Judy thanks for your info.
"Wishful thinking" is a good phrase. It's Dean's personality to say "Everything's OK," and really want to believe it - especially when it comes to family - whether it is or not. It's Sam's personality to keep poking at something and dissect it until he understands it.
Love the "Mean Dean" persona - this a person who is no longer full of despair & self doubt.Compared to the despondency of Season 5 he has developed a belief in himself & his calling. No more recriminations & angst just "saving people & killing monsters" and looking good.
Not so sure she really IS Eve, or the Eve we think. They said she's calling herself that, but for all we know she's maybe just seeing herself as Eve cause she's the Mother of the monsters just like Eve is the Mother of humans
My thoughts exactly! I was like "Uhm... helllooo... You all just shot and killed someone! Where's the heartache!?" Especially for Bobby and Dean... They killed the ones that did nothin' wrong. :(
I kinda figured it out a while back when the title was released, but I had hoped it wasn't 100% true. Then, the pictures at the gravesite were super spoilertastic...
Did anyone else notice this? When Dean and Sam ran into the room where Rufus and Bobby were reclaiming their guns, Dean had a small gun in his hand. I assumed that he took it away from Samuel in the struggle. But moments later when Sam caught up to Samuel, Samuel had a gun. I rewound (thanks to DVR) and saw when Sam and Dean met Bobby and Rufus in the hallway while chasing Samuel, Dean didn't have a gun (in his hand, at least). So where did the extra gun come from? Was Samuel not the only one that didn't give up all his weapons or did Dean find a gun laying around while looking for Samuel? I'm guessing that Dean didn't give up all his weapons. It reminded me of 'Night Shifter' when Dean commented to Sam that he wasn't going to just walk into the bank naked (or something to that effect). Any thoughts?
The problem is that they already introduced Lilith and other Gods. A creature which calls itself Eve because Eve is supposed to be the mother of humans is just lame. It's not only the name, she also talked about God which makes me fear the worst.
It was FANTASTIC...if there was one word to describe it it would be tensive. The monster really creeped me out - kudos to Jim for the great performance. Speaking of which, shouldn't Bobby have given the monster a name, for a reference to future hunters? Kind of like that book in Charmed where if they fught a new monster they'd write about it.
Sad to see Rufus go, but there is still possibility for a spin-off when they were young. I could care less about Gramps or Gwen aside from the shock-value.
I think you are right about Samuel's death! They just did not know what to do with him....so why not kill him? It worked. No more lingering Crowley questions as far as TPTB are concerned.
I agree about killing off background characters. Supernatural is to minor characters as the original Star Trek was to "red shirts". They are just there to fill out a scene or plot and then once they have done their bit... dead.
One way Samuel may have gotten to "Eve" and not not "mother of all" could be just in simple translation. Bobby researched and translated the words literally to "Mother of All" and Samuel had the same info but knew that the name "Eve" means "bringer of Life", Mother of All" in Hebrew. So it may be as little as a difference in translation?
Don't feel bad for saying it... I agree! Killing Bobby would have had IMPACT. The three deaths in the episode had no impact for me, just more secondary characters being killed. That is the way of the show afterall...
They may be looking at Eve as the mother of all sin... not just humanity or monsters. So it does somewhat merge the two together. But like you I fear the worst. I did not like the season 4 or 5 plots much and this has potential to be more of the same.
Samuel had sticky goo leaking out of his ear when he pulled the gun on Dean and Sam.... so where did the goo go? Was Samuel cleaning his ears when Sam found him?
And that's what I don't want to see. The mother of sin stuff is religious crap which I simply can't stand. I love season 4 and season 5 was only bad because Lucifer was as harmless as a puppy but making the mother of all Eve, is simply too bible-related to handle for me. How do you define a sin? Why is she the mother of all sins? I don't even want to think about it. It just makes me mad.
I didn't like the first half of season 6 very much, but I stuck with the show because of loyalty for the characters, and guess what; I was right to do it.I love the second half!!Like a Virgin, the French Mistake and now this episode were awesome and they have restored my faith once again!!I loved every minute of it,especially Bobby-monster's creepy voice, and when Dean shot Gwen, which made my jaw drop to the floor! It was awesome, classic SPN!!! :)
OMG , Loved this episode and Eve put a different spin on it . So sad about Rufus . Loved how Dean acted all hot in this lol , and what he said is true "family doesn't mean you are blood, you have to earn it". This had me captivated since the begging of the episode . Also the person who plays Eve is good actress. This is a sad episode though Dean killed Gwen and Bobby killed his best friend. To know that you did something like that must put a weight on your shoulder . But as Dean said at the end a clean slate . Glad that Dean and Sam were like calling on each other when Sam was trapped without the rest of the gang , it was like the old times in season 1-3. This is going to be an amazing season i think it just is building into something outstanding . Wonder what Eves end game is . Also the fact that the final of season 6 is a 2 hour episode mean's going be amazing like "all hell breaks loose part1 and part2" I am so worried Bobby will die this season , i know Dean will for defo depending on when and if they are doing a season 7 it may be the final of that when he will die but if not this season. There is just to many hints in episode's like when Dean says i know i am going to die. This had me on hold this episode. Loved all the untrustworthy's between all of them . This episode was like "The Thing" as they electrocution each other to get the thing out of them and turn on one another . I have not been so excited like this since to be honest season2 i did love season 5 , but felt it ended to quickly should have been a 2 hour final or something . But this was on fire like the episode "Croatoan" . Also Bobby is a real good actor i mean i know he was in the past but playing a bad guy we have never saw him do , and he was good at it. It was a surprise when Bobby turned out to be the one that was possed as Dean and Sam count on him and although it was not his fault , but it was a surprise and something i never saw coming. God, i know i keep going on about it but just loved this episode . Also how Dean has became like old Dean when , he used to check out women and make a remark , and wanting to kill people , also has became a better fighter as he was qite rusty there even in season 5. But Freaking awesome! .
Yep it was hope they bring it back. Yeh i know , it was ok season 4 , but 5 was sooooooo good just ended a little to qick for me . Like at the end of this season for the final they are doing a 2 hour back to back , maby they should have done that with 5 , but still kicked but the final as when Lucifer/sam goes to punch dean and stops as he sees the toy and all the flashbacks come in , just great Supernatural at its best. xxx
lol are you being funny , cause i was just saying that , Supernatural puts its own spin on it makes it fresh . If you were to be honest you seem qite rude , your comment was not that useful ether. I was not even rude to you god, i swear where are all the down to earth people today.
Loved your recap... There is nothing better than reading a recap done by someone that loved the episode... I really liked it, but was totally sad over Rufus and Gwen... Reading your recap made me remember the good parts and Love it! Thanks... That is just what I needed....
I also absolutely love all of your abbreviations and extra comments. *rubs self against Sammy* [hahahahahaha]
i think they ran out of time, maybe because of all the random filler episodes throughout the season we so did not need fallen idols i agree, the end was very rushed. like in 2 minutes to midnight, they were up against both horsemen in the same ep, there was just so much going on in that one, they had to split up but that last, quick sam and dean montage that saved the day was awesome
Yep agree with that. It was rushed but it was amazing as you say. Wonder if they are doing a season 7 ? it would be kl as this season is getting good reviews .x
I still say that I wasn't that impressed with it. I'm amazed how many people thought it was awesome though! Guess I wasn't in the right frame of mind when I watched it, I just kept expecting it to be a dream sequence... :)
yeah, and that means they had to kill her to get her there right? so if they find out who/how they killed her, they can do the same now i think so anyhow
from what i've heard i think there may be a 7th season but i don't think anything has been confirmed yet i will be devastated if they don't make one i love this show!! and i'm sure with this storyline they will open heaps of doors for another season
lol "not yet" There is no good time to kill bobby. It would be SO heart breakin. I guess if they do it... it would be better if its the final season. You know so we dont miss him for a whole new season THAT would just be mean!
yeah and I think Sera and everyone is working with the idea of having a season 7 so season 6 will suck if there is no s7. plot wholes. But I think we will get it, spn is like the second best rated show on the cw. With Smallville ending, OTH stars who want it to end, LUX canceled, nikita and hellcat dropping in ratings.... 90210 too i think... yeah season 7 is a safe bet
John, Jo, Ellen, maybe Ash. Those death heart, not just secondary characters imo. But I think they waited to long to kill bobby (or get ride of Castiel) and now they CANT its too mean ahaha.
Not that great of an episode IMO... Not horrible, just OK (which was my rating). All the really saved it for me was the Rufus/Bobby stuff.... Which makes me even more sad that Rufus died...
Dean sees or at least, we see black goo flowing out of Samuel's ear when Samuel pulls a gun on him and Sam... Dean and Samuel struggle and Samuel runs off.... Sam finds Samuel and shoots him.... Bobby checks Samuel's dead body and there isn't a trace of goo. I was wondering how there wasn't any trace of goo when it was flowing out of Samuel's ear moments earlier. It didn't make any sense to me. I agree with you that the goo check, while funny, was ultimately pointless.
I was gonna give it a 'great', but both Bobby and Dean were awesome in the last few minutes, that I had to give this episode an awesome. Other than that, I basically agree with your points.
I know they've (Dean and Sam) been hunters for a long time, but whenever they've taken life––especially a human's––they've felt SOME sort of emotional turmoil. We barely saw that this episode! I was expecting SOMETHING, especially since the people they killed were their "family" (I know they're not blood, but they had to have counted for something).
I guess we're done with the Campbell storyline? They built it up, only to kill 'em off at the end? Well, hip, hip, hooray! -_- I'm sorry, but that storyline fell short this season. They had so much potential with it, but this is what they did at the end.
At least Eve seems interesting. They're doing something right this season!
Was anyone else reminded of the past when Sam was on the other side of the door and both Sam and Dean were calling their names? I sure was! And I loved it!
I think I'd probably give this episode a 4.5ish/5.
Your review was amazing. I think you basically summarized a lot of people's emotions during the major moments of this episode.
Dean having herpes: LOLOLOL I couldn't stop laughing at this part in the episode. Even when they're trapped in a "freakshow", they still find ways to make it humorous (and possibly true) LOL. Jeez Dean, who have you been shaggin'? LOL
The end scene with Dean giving everyone clean slates was perfect. At first, it felt a little meh, but the boys have been through way too much, that they have to find ways to make it to the end – together. Amazing scene.
I don't know. Sigh. I want to give this episode––hell, this whole season––a bad rating, but some episodes have been pretty dark and great. I just don't want to say anything now, before this season ends, because this show could just as easily get better. We never know.
Anyway, I do agree with your "seasons 1-3" comment. I loved the feel of those seasons. Each bad guy had pizzaz. Some were there for something big and some were there because they just wanted to kill someone. But it doesn't mean I haven't enjoyed seasons 4 and 5. Just not as much as seasons 1-3.
Well to be honest i did not like this season as it started out bland and not how Supernatural is and thats class. But episodes do stick out like "A weekend at Bobby's" Also "live few or taw hard" "Caged Heat" "Appointment in Samarra" "Unforgiven" "...And Then There Were None" . So i think its building into something . I do however think Dean will die ether this season if the end , as in the end of Supernatural as there are alot of hints in the episode like "just so you know i forgive , for whatever when i die , i know i will" but depends when . I hope Sam gets his old dream to go to university and be a lawyer and fall in love and still see Bobby , it would be a bitter sweet ending . Yeh can i tell you a scerect lol i watch 90210 lol , i know it fails into comparisons to this big time but , i have got into it , so hope it does not also heard it has been confirmed and that they are writting the next season . But yes it is defo safe and Sara knows what she is doing . xxxxxxx
Some good moments, but this just stank of re-boot. Let's just ditch the entire Campbell storyline. And killing Rufus? Arrgghh! He was a great character and Bobby and Rufus made a great foil to Dean and Sam. Also, Dean didn't seem to care he'd just killed his cousin - that was OOC - As I said some good moments - I'm trying to be patient to see if there is some kind of pay off in the storyline, but it just isn't doing it for me so far....
l Live few or tawhard... i think you missed the joke "Live free or twihard" :D LOL your secret is safe with me ;P
ahahah, not sure you sweet ending will happen, doesnt sound so "supernatural" to me, everything ending well and Sam doesnt look like he even wants to go back to school at all. He is not looking back. I think if dean dies then Sam keeps hunting, deference here is that now he would accept the death and move on lol not drink himself to crazyness and trying to sell his soul ahaha. :P
No i got the joke lol , its from live free or try hard , i know what it meant lol. Its no really a sweet ending , but i guess Sam would not go back to school . But i would not like Sam to carry on hunting ether as no really much of an ending . The final ending has to be amazing. Dont know if you have saw Buffy's final ending but that did not wrap up everything and you felt something was missing. Ether way i know it is going to end tragic , but i know Sam or Dean one of them will die most likely Dean:( lol . But the next episode looks freaking amazing :D XX
Yeah I saw buffy's ending.. I think. didnt spike die and then they went away in a bus? that was weird hahaha, not sure if I dreamed that
Lol if you watched angel... even worst ending wow. I was so shocked ahhaa. IDK there is no way to end a show, I kida hate happy endings cause its too cheesy, but then bad ending is just too easy lol, they die and then the show is over wow, and then there is the one that you just say THERE COULD BE MORE ARGH!!!!
yep you saw it never dreamed it lol . Angel's was bad , like bad ,bad. Yeh i hate cheesy to , but i do like when life protrade's real life ,i mean people do die in Battle's and the young die to that's life and its more believable than a man running after a girl at the end of some chick flick to tell her how much he loves her. How many guys would do that lol , no offence to men but how many ? lol . Supernatural is all about the love between the brothers but mainly about death like the dad dies and seals his soul,Sam dies , Dean seals his soul , Dean comes back Sam jumps into hell, the repaper comes and takes people . I dont see a good ending and my fantasy i told you about of Sam being happy and going back to school is only a dream of mine , even if Sam did and he wont but if he did , there would still be a part of him missing that nothing could fill never! . No i see a bad ending but i hope they do it so i can actually watch the show again lol, i mean love Buffy , but i think they spoiled it , when Buffy died she should have stayed dead i know the fans would hate it so would i , but its more realistic than the ending to a long and boring season 7 . Season 5 of Buffy was pure class and should ended on a high note . I know some may disagree , but it just dies after that . I hope Supernatural ends with a bang ! as Dean say's "if i go down i'll go down swinging ". xxxxxxxxxx
no i agree with Dean "a clean slate" should be given to them Bobby killed his best friend to and Sam done bad stuff without a soul , he is basically saying he does not hold anything against them if he dies , he wants them to know no regrets . Also why should he be more forgiven of Samuel he tried to kill him and Sam . Also let Sam run around without a soul killing people and who knows what else. No i totally agree "You know what I think Mom would say? She'd say, "Just because you're blood doesn't make you family. You got to earn that." i also agree with this " just so you two know, we're good. Blanket apology for all the crap that anybody's done, all the way around." x
I was refering to him being killed by "Gouls" (not sure how to right that).
Edit: Oh AND... Sam wasnt dead cause someone (i so dont remember if we learned what happened but what ever) "resurect" him and then he was walking around with no soul and blawblawblaw but if Adam is free from hell his body is dead, he cant return to eat. The soul of sam went back in his body cause he was alive and kicking
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Gonna miss Rufus though. :-(
ReplyDeleteFreaking awesome! I want to find out what happened in Omaha! Want fic now! And poor Rufus and Gwen and kinda Samuel. But I loved everything about this episode!
ReplyDeleteWOW! Omg from the moment Dean shot ...... damn lol oh GWEN! I was hooked. It was soooo great indeed there are none awesome NO MORE campell I got so scared they would cary this story into the possible season 7.
ReplyDeleteOMG when we saw the boys at the end I kept saying "I know bobbys alive, i saw the pics, i know he is okay C'MON SHOW UP lol" and then he did and I could breath.
ReplyDeleteAwesome episode!I was on edge the entire time.I'm gonna miss Rufus and I felt sorry for Gwen, though.
But we got to see Samuel dying TWICE!What more can we ask for!?!?!
Countdown begins now... : (
It doesn't return until April 15th.
ReplyDeleteI liked Rufus, but I am very glad bobby is okay!!! absolutely fantastic episode, way better than I thought it would be. I missed the first ten minutes tho, gotta go back and watch it now!
ReplyDeleteLoved the episode. Thought everyone did a great job. Now it is time to think about everything.
ReplyDeleteWhy can't I choose double awesome?
ReplyDeleteIt had me hooked from the first scene right to the last second.
And Grandpa bought it. Yay!
Felt sorry for Gwen though (never thought I'd be saying that)
And poor Rufus.
And poor Bobby
ok, Eve reminds me of Natalie Portman in Star wars for some reason.
ReplyDeleteyup, now they HAVE to make a Rufus & Bobby spin-off! It'll take place years ago before Bobby screwed up with Rufus...
ReplyDeleteIn other news... Why the hell do they have to kill EVERYONE!?
I enjoyed the ep! minus rufus dieing he was a fun guy to have around occasionally :P. my favourite line would have to be when they are electrocuting possessed Bobby,
ReplyDeleteSam: why do you keep talking about herpes?
Dean: what?
Sam: eye brow twitch
Dean: shut up
Sam: more brow furrowing (man he going to get wrinkle lines on that beautiful forehead of his)
Dean: SHUT UP!
Cause we needed the campell to GO AWAY but we dont care about damn so then we needed a death that would make us sad = rufus = didnt work for me PWAHHHA
ReplyDeletethough the spin off sounds great :P
Moral of the story....Never pick upa half-dressed nekkidteen with bare feet.
ReplyDeleteWell Mother of All is Eve like I suspected. She's back...and she's still in her confirmation dress! After 2 well below average episodes and then a one off meta episode, back to the seasonal arc. FINALLY!
It's a hunters convention... everybody and their "Mother" is invited!
"Agent.."
"Agent..."
"Apparently, you didn't get the call!"
Best episode since Hellatus ended for me!
dyou know why he said that though? I feel like I missed the joke
ReplyDelete:( BREAK ME DREAMS GIRL THANKS VERY MUCH *runs and cries*
ReplyDelete:P
Sad that they brought Rufus back to kill him off, I was jus starting to like him. Samuel's dead? Twice? LOL. Informative ep, so Mother of All is Evil Eve, smh. Props to Possessed!Bobby, weird and sorta funny. Can't wait for them to be back.
ReplyDeleteDid I see Sam in a coyboy hat in the promo lol.
Don't blame me, blame the CW.
ReplyDeleteI.LOVE.YOU : "This episode is yet another reason in a growing list of why sticking a tongue into an ear is not hot!" PWAHA.HA.HA.AH.AHAHHA I think you killed me. omg.
ReplyDeleteyeah yeah I know.... They air the show though so I TRY to be nice :P
ReplyDeleteI loved the 'worm' thing and the scene where they zapped Bobby repeatedly to get it out of him.
ReplyDeleteDean: 'we'll do what Bobby would want us to do'
AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME ......no more words ! Sniffle Hellatus Hibernation begins !
ReplyDeleteAt least Rufus got to die in a top quality episode......
ReplyDeleteThe suspense and pace earned it an "awesome." The emotional impact fell flat though. I felt like I was watching a slasher movie in which people keep dying and no one cares. So in that area it earned an "OK." I split the difference and voted "great."
ReplyDeleteIt got a point for the early, unexpected death of Gwen.
ReplyDeleteDean has the hottest "I'm going to kill you" look known to man.
ReplyDeleteAnd Sam's hair looks so much better. I think it has to be attached to how his soul is feeling that day :) Not my favorite episode this season because they offed Rufus...but I'll deal...no one really stays dead on Supernatural.
I was expecting Dean to be the one to kill Samuel, but I kinda think Sam deserved to do it after Samuel taunting him about what he did when he was soulless
ReplyDeleteI think the shock value in having the three deaths was great. I doubt whether anyone was expecting that. I know I wasn't.
I know, I know...*hugs* but we'll be in it together. SPN fans looking out for each other. :)
ReplyDeleteI think Gwen's death had AWESOME shock value, but then the next two had little if any for me. And to me... Gwen was the least important death so I felt the shock was wasted on her.
ReplyDeleteLOL what I thought sammy was having a bad hair day all episode long.
ReplyDeleteand yeah Dean's look... yummy (wow LOL way to show this isnt a girl tvshow haahah oupsy)
i guess for now all we get is the scene right after Sam kills Samuel and Bobby, Rufus and Dean all run up and Bobby sees Sam is okay and says "Thank God"
ReplyDelete'And Sam's hair looks so much better. I think it has to be attached to how his soul is feeling that day' LMAO
ReplyDeleteYou're right his hair was beautiful in this ep. :D
It was a great episode! Could have been better if I didn't know from the start that Rufus was going to die....it took every emotional moment I could have if I didn't know
ReplyDeleteAnd Hey guys, I admit I was back since a lonnngg loonnngg time ago and under many accounts and names ^^; I just missed you too much to stay away
ReplyDeleteThat's what I was thinking too. I've only seen it once - need to rewatch
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to get a screencap of the group ear check - that was freakin' HILARIOUS
ReplyDeletesupernatural: the only show that can have a grandson off his grandfather and another character says 'thank God'. =P
ReplyDeleteOh and when he killed Samuel, I was like , finally! lol
I was shocked to see Gwen go. Personally I liked her and would have liked to see more of her, but i guess it was needed.
I wasn't looking forward to this episode to be honest, but I was pleasantly surprised, it was sad and all (Rufus and Gwen dying) but good.
=)
I'm not reading the comments because I want to go into the recap pure, but I loved the shock of Gwen's death. Everything else was icing on the cake. This is the first time I've voted awesome in weeks. It was my kind of episode - little emo, mytharc movement, lots of action, visceral/cathartic death, and two brothers and their surrogate father standing together against evil. What more could I want? (Except Rufus not to be dead.)
ReplyDeleteOh and one more thing before I disappear: I'm betting there will be at least 1,000 fanfics on what happened in Omaha after this. If anyone reads a good one, let me know because I'm dying to hear what everyone thinks happened.
ReplyDeleteYou know, I thought Jared looked like a freakin' model at Rufus' grave site... I was there feeling all sad and he totally distracted me.... I need a freeze frame on my Mom's live TV *sigh*....
ReplyDeleteThe group goo check was great! I laughed almost as hard as when the all followed the flashlight beam and trip wire at the booby trap. All leaned the same, crooked their heads the same..... I rolled!
ReplyDeleteYou saw Sam on horseback in a cowboy hat (a black one I might add) in the promo *droooools*
ReplyDelete"So I guess all's good between Sam and Bobby again - without us getting any kind of one-on-one scene between the two of them?"
ReplyDelete^ THIS.
ReplyDeleteLMAO You said it, girl! He was GORGEOUS in this whole episode.
ReplyDeletehttp://jillywinchester.tumblr.com/ here's the link to my tumblr blog for the group ear check
ReplyDeleteNice story... great way to show the departure of minor (but important) characters not necessary anymore! However I'm still not pleased with the Adam situation. He is their brother and is apparently stuck in the cage and no one is having any kind of sympathy. As if writers completely ignored his character and in place of resolving his situation... they off with minor characters :T
ReplyDeleteThe character stuff was great. Had me glued. At one moment (in the morgue) I looked at the screen and thought..."Yeah, those two could totally carry a show." And...no more Rufus. I'm really going to miss him. Have loved the actor since he did 21 Jump Street.
ReplyDeleteWe're finally done with the Campbells. I still think that was a wasted opportunity. (Which I think is more because some of the preseason interviews set my expectation for one thing and what we got was something different.) The sad thing is though....I'm not sad to see the characters go.
Anyway, loved the episode...really have to watch it again.
Why the bloody freaking darn do we have to wait until April 15th?
yup. another funeral fake out. :-)
ReplyDeleteMy guess is that Eve will be THE Eve. The "10,000 years ago" reference made by Samuel falls directly into the timeline people consider for when "God created Man".
ReplyDeleteSupernatural does not follow The Bible directly anyway.
ReplyDeleteI will miss Mitch Pileggi. Love the actor!
ReplyDeleteI'm getting the feeling... and correct me if I'm wrong...that you liked this episode just a little bit Rochey?
ReplyDeleteAnd you know what? It was freakin' awesome! I loved every single moment of it. And I loved everything you've said.....
especially this:
'Sammy's told to take Dean for a walk.....WHAT IS HE, a Dog.....If he was he'd totally be an 'Alsatian' to Sam's 'Labrador' and Bobby's 'Bulldog'......Heeheee i'm so pleased with what i just said :))'
hahahahahaha.......
Love you Rochey..... you ALWAYS make me laugh :D :D :D
Yup me too! I never found him creepy despite the fact I loved to hate him. He will be missed by me, if for no other reason... he was one of (or the) best actor on the series.
ReplyDeleteI should know better than to read you reaction posts to a SPN episode before bed.... I caught your manic happiness and now I am not tired!
ReplyDelete*grumbles and goes to make some chamomile tea*
I agree with a lot of your points and counter points. One of the issues I've had with the Campbell story is that I''m not convinced there real purpose to bringing Grandpa Campbell back other than what Crowley told us. (simply that he possessed a near encyclopedic knowledge of monsters of all kinds) It's on my list of cons for my season six overall review.
ReplyDeleteRochey_1....how long did it take you to type this. I get so pooped reading these!
ReplyDeletehope it doesn't take to much plaster to fix your wall. :-)
"I'm getting the feeling... and correct me if I'm wrong...that you liked this episode just a little bit Rochey?"
ReplyDelete*jumps up and down clapping hands like a child*
JUST A LITTLE....JUST A LITTLE....ok i'm calm now...yeah it was AWESOME <33
"hahahahahaha.......
Love you Rochey..... you ALWAYS make me laugh :D :D :D"
Awww thanks...i had a good laugh at the image of Dean alsatian....Sam Lab...and Bobby Bulldog....laughing at my own jokes...soooo Sad....but i love you more JillyAnne....Glomps more <33
"Rochey_1....how long did it take you to type this. I get so pooped reading these!"
ReplyDeleteI dunno.....time ceases to exist when i'm wired...hours maybe.....dedication YEAH!!!
Awwwww... i made 'Darq' wired....gotta say i'm very pleased with that......chamomile tea won't help.......it's like a disease :D
ReplyDelete*glomps*
that was awesome!!
ReplyDeletewas on the edge of my seat that enitre episode
dean shooting gwen was a massive shock
so many people bought it tonight!!
sam's headshot of grandpa creepy was amazing
upset rufus is gone though, he was fun to have around
i kept flashing back to croatoan with everybody shouting "it's not in me!!"
that parasite monster thingo was creepy evil
i wonder if they'll make up any more new monsters now too
very ecited for the way the rest of this season is looking
annoyed at this massive wait though
I don't get it. Dean still has some leftover sticky goo in his ear even after 'presumably' it has left his body, but Samuel doesn't even have a trace of it in his ear after Sam shot him. And it is still in him. Is that supposed to mean it can hide being in someone's body? Am I even making sense here or I'm just really confuse?
ReplyDeleteOtherwise great episode. I love it. Love Dean's killer face :)
Okay so they decided to retcon the whole "earth existed and then god came and took over"plot with this crap? The previous idea of Heaven arriving the and taking over the world from old gods was way more interesting than yet another bunch of bible crap.
ReplyDeleteEve?
I miss the season 1-3 quality of this show...
1/5
interisting stuff
ReplyDeletethere was no way they were gonna kill off bobby
don't forget, azazels plan was to raise lucifer and birng on the apocalypse and end of the world
his part was just smaller
i also miss season 1-3
ReplyDeleteThat was azazel's plan retcon in season4. :)
ReplyDeleteBefore it it actually seemed that Azazel and Lilith were enemies and Lilith ad the whole Apocalypse plan while azazel was shrouded in mistery
What I'm wondering is who originally put Eve in Purgatory? I mean someone had to right.
ReplyDeleteConsidering this show's anti-female standpoint, Adam most likely put her in purgatory after she cooked a bad meal...
ReplyDeleteReally disappointing!
ReplyDeleteCan't they at least develop the minor characters before they kill them off?
Thank God, the promo was amazing.
I am thinking the same thing.
ReplyDeleteThat's it! Now it all makes sense! Lol
ReplyDeleteSera has said the Adam situation has not been forgotten and will be addressed toward the end of the season.
ReplyDeleteThis was probably the best episode they've had all season.
ReplyDeleteThat scene really cracked me up(:
ReplyDeleteDidn't Bobby say something about Rufus losing 'her' because of him? I'm thinking Rufus' wife got killed or something, although I can't imagine Rufus every getting back with Bobby after something like that.
ReplyDeletehay the bible is in my opinion like not true as Jesus feeds like 10 guys with one bit of fish , lol please.Anyawys so glad they have changed it a bit . x
ReplyDeleteYeh season 1-3 was just amazing classic azazel was so cool as a bad guy. Also the colt was just awesome. I dont like 4 much but 5 makes up for that with the devil .x
ReplyDeletei agree
ReplyDeletethe colt was cool, great weapon
i also don't understand the love for season4 but i did like season 5
LOL! maybe
ReplyDeleteyeah but that's still pretty bad. "You don't know what I did" Sounds like it was REALLY his fault
ReplyDeleteoh really? Wow if that's true she is brave hahaha! I thought that death mentionning him was enough HAHHA! "hey guys we know about adam, we'll let him rot in hell cause what the hell can we do with him" LOL but he is dead any way so if he gets out he should go to heaven or something... LOL
ReplyDeletelol yeah it confused me too. With Dean they didnt know if the sticky thingy in the ear meant the thing was out or still in so it makes sense. With Granpa, it was still in so no sticky thing either :D
ReplyDeleteSAMPCALYPSE!!!! I love it hahaha!
ReplyDeleteSorry you hated it. I dont understand how you can still watch if s4-5-6 is crap though
*starts to run* I think killing boby would have been SO AWESOME *is already on an other planet*
ReplyDeleteThey can't kill Bobby, not yet.
ReplyDeleteYeah then shouldn't Samuel still has it when Bobby check on him? If it can hide the sticky thing when it is in someone, then it is pointless to check everyone's ear to know who the thing is possessing.
ReplyDeleteI've got to say Dean's speech at the end about 'wiping the slate' clean didn't feel right to me.
ReplyDeleteAdam is not dead in a way coz the cage is not hell!
ReplyDeleteWell we all get mixed up becoz of Sam n Dean's dialogue but I understand that Cage is not hell... or it would've been easily accessible!
But there's no point assuming... SPN has weird ways of twisting things around (Which I admire and detest at the same time. :P).
@Judy thanks for your info.
The worm was eerily similar to "gould" from Stargate franchise :P
ReplyDelete"Wishful thinking" is a good phrase. It's Dean's personality to say "Everything's OK," and really want to believe it - especially when it comes to family - whether it is or not. It's Sam's personality to keep poking at something and dissect it until he understands it.
ReplyDeleteSo we have an Adam and Eve now?
ReplyDeleteLove the "Mean Dean" persona - this a person who is no longer full of despair & self doubt.Compared to the despondency of Season 5 he has developed a belief in himself & his calling.
ReplyDeleteNo more recriminations & angst just "saving people & killing monsters" and looking good.
Not so sure she really IS Eve, or the Eve we think. They said she's calling herself that, but for all we know she's maybe just seeing herself as Eve cause she's the Mother of the monsters just like Eve is the Mother of humans
ReplyDeleteMaybe Adam will emerge from cage evil after all of the abuse, and our big bads next season will be Adam and Eve.
ReplyDeleteOf course I watch it just for the plot and story ;)
ReplyDeleteWell, good for you, but I loved Rufus, and I definitely didn't want him to die...
ReplyDeleteMy thoughts exactly! I was like "Uhm... helllooo... You all just shot and killed someone! Where's the heartache!?" Especially for Bobby and Dean... They killed the ones that did nothin' wrong. :(
ReplyDeleteIn other news "I <3 to Polka!"
I kinda figured it out a while back when the title was released, but I had hoped it wasn't 100% true. Then, the pictures at the gravesite were super spoilertastic...
ReplyDeleteI really felt bad for Gwen's death. I was starting to like her. She was THIS CLOSE to having Dean's back. :(
ReplyDeleteDid anyone else notice this?
ReplyDeleteNo, don't run! ;D I agree with you. I would have missed Jim Beaver but the shock value would have been great. I think I would have cried.
ReplyDeleteThe problem is that they already introduced Lilith and other Gods. A creature which calls itself Eve because Eve is supposed to be the mother of humans is just lame. It's not only the name, she also talked about God which makes me fear the worst.
ReplyDeleteThey said ''She called herself Eve'', they didn't said ''SHE's Eve''. For all we know she's just comparing herself to Eve in the sens of ''Mother''
ReplyDeleteWhat a useful comment.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I think he got a haircut too, it looks much more styled and lovely.
ReplyDeleteIt was FANTASTIC...if there was one word to describe it it would be tensive. The monster really creeped me out - kudos to Jim for the great performance. Speaking of which, shouldn't Bobby have given the monster a name, for a reference to future hunters? Kind of like that book in Charmed where if they fught a new monster they'd write about it.
ReplyDeleteSad to see Rufus go, but there is still possibility for a spin-off when they were young. I could care less about Gramps or Gwen aside from the shock-value.
I think you are right about Samuel's death! They just did not know what to do with him....so why not kill him? It worked. No more lingering Crowley questions as far as TPTB are concerned.
ReplyDeleteI agree about killing off background characters.
I agree!
ReplyDeleteKilling Bobby would have had IMPACT.
ReplyDeleteDean only wipes the slate clean after he buries things deep underneath it....
ReplyDeleteworst episode ever!! :(
ReplyDeletelol I wasn't even thinking about Biblical Eve wen I wrote this lol, but thanks for the input :D
ReplyDeleteSamuel had sticky goo leaking out of his ear when he pulled the gun on Dean and Sam.... so where did the goo go? Was Samuel cleaning his ears when Sam found him?
ReplyDeleteAnd that's what I don't want to see.
ReplyDeleteWell Season 4 and 5 were too religious for me.... so I know how you feel! :)
ReplyDeleteI didn't like the first half of season 6 very much, but I stuck with the show because of loyalty for the characters, and guess what; I was right to do it.I love the second half!!Like a Virgin, the French Mistake and now this episode were awesome and they have restored my faith once again!!I loved every minute of it,especially Bobby-monster's creepy voice, and when Dean shot Gwen, which made my jaw drop to the floor! It was awesome, classic SPN!!! :)
ReplyDeleteLol :D
ReplyDeleteThat's the theory I'm going with
ReplyDeleteOMG , Loved this episode and Eve put a different spin on it . But Freaking awesome! .
ReplyDeletemmmmm this is werid as it has a promo for "Frontierland" but the next episode is Episode 17: "My Heart Will Go On"
ReplyDeleteYep it was hope they bring it back. Yeh i know , it was ok season 4 , but 5 was sooooooo good just ended a little to qick for me . Like at the end of this season for the final they are doing a 2 hour back to back , maby they should have done that with 5 , but still kicked but the final as when Lucifer/sam goes to punch dean and stops as he sees the toy and all the flashbacks come in , just great Supernatural at its best. xxx
ReplyDeletelol are you being funny , cause i was just saying that , Supernatural puts its own spin on it makes it fresh . If you were to be honest you seem qite rude , your comment was not that useful ether. I was not even rude to you god, i swear where are all the down to earth people today.
ReplyDeleteLoved your recap... There is nothing better than reading a recap done by someone that loved the episode... I really liked it, but was totally sad over Rufus and Gwen... Reading your recap made me remember the good parts and Love it! Thanks... That is just what I needed....
ReplyDeleteI also absolutely love all of your abbreviations and extra comments. *rubs self against Sammy* [hahahahahaha]
i think they ran out of time, maybe because of all the random filler episodes throughout the season
ReplyDeletewe so did not need fallen idols
i agree, the end was very rushed. like in 2 minutes to midnight, they were up against both horsemen in the same ep, there was just so much going on in that one, they had to split up
but that last, quick sam and dean montage that saved the day was awesome
Yep agree with that. It was rushed but it was amazing as you say. Wonder if they are doing a season 7 ? it would be kl as this season is getting good reviews .x
ReplyDeleteI still say that I wasn't that impressed with it. I'm amazed how many people thought it was awesome though! Guess I wasn't in the right frame of mind when I watched it, I just kept expecting it to be a dream sequence... :)
ReplyDeleteit would have had a massive impact and would have been amazing
ReplyDeletebut bobby is just too great to kill off
yeah, and that means they had to kill her to get her there right?
ReplyDeleteso if they find out who/how they killed her, they can do the same now
i think so anyhow
from what i've heard i think there may be a 7th season but i don't think anything has been confirmed yet
ReplyDeletei will be devastated if they don't make one
i love this show!!
and i'm sure with this storyline they will open heaps of doors for another season
Me to i really want a season 7 , i thought this saeason was going to be bad! lol , but it is getting so good and building each episode. X
ReplyDeletelol "not yet" There is no good time to kill bobby. It would be SO heart breakin. I guess if they do it... it would be better if its the final season. You know so we dont miss him for a whole new season THAT would just be mean!
ReplyDeleteyeah and I think Sera and everyone is working with the idea of having a season 7 so season 6 will suck if there is no s7. plot wholes. But I think we will get it, spn is like the second best rated show on the cw. With Smallville ending, OTH stars who want it to end, LUX canceled, nikita and hellcat dropping in ratings.... 90210 too i think... yeah season 7 is a safe bet
ReplyDeleteI was refering to him being killed by "Gouls" (not sure how to right that).
ReplyDeleteIf you're over 15 you're not a girl? lol is that what you just said hahaha.
ReplyDeleteI started for their looks and now I'm hooked cause its good :D how's that ehehe
yeah but if he hadnt die then this ep would have been boring. Who cares if the campells die, we want to get ride of them :D
ReplyDeleteJohn, Jo, Ellen, maybe Ash. Those death heart, not just secondary characters imo. But I think they waited to long to kill bobby (or get ride of Castiel) and now they CANT its too mean ahaha.
ReplyDelete*drool*
ReplyDeleteamen!
ReplyDeleteI don't know. What's your point?
ReplyDeleteI was making fun of the NYT article about how only 15 year old girls watch the show...Plot, story, looks it has it all :)
ReplyDeleteAHHAHA nice one! stupid me
ReplyDeleteNot that great of an episode IMO... Not horrible, just OK (which was my rating).
ReplyDeleteAll the really saved it for me was the Rufus/Bobby stuff....
ReplyDeleteThis!
ReplyDeleteI was gonna give it a 'great', but both Bobby and Dean were awesome in the last few minutes, that I had to give this episode an awesome.
LMFAO
ReplyDeleteYour review was amazing.
"wasted opportunity"...THIS
ReplyDeleteWhy oh why bring 'em back to KILL 'em off? What was the purpose of all of that? -_-
I don't know. Sigh. I want to give this episode––hell, this whole season––a bad rating, but some episodes have been pretty dark and great. I just don't want to say anything now, before this season ends, because this show could just as easily get better. We never know.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I do agree with your "seasons 1-3" comment. I loved the feel of those seasons. Each bad guy had pizzaz. Some were there for something big and some were there because they just wanted to kill someone. But it doesn't mean I haven't enjoyed seasons 4 and 5. Just not as much as seasons 1-3.
I want to see him poke at it! Sam never lets things like that go (well the old Sam didn't). We just haven't seen enough "poking" lately. Sigh.
ReplyDeleteWell to be honest i did not like this season as it started out bland and not how Supernatural is and thats class. But yes it is defo safe and Sara knows what she is doing . xxxxxxx
ReplyDeleteSome good moments, but this just stank of re-boot. Let's just ditch the entire Campbell storyline. And killing Rufus? Arrgghh! He was a great character and Bobby and Rufus made a great foil to Dean and Sam. Also, Dean didn't seem to care he'd just killed his cousin - that was OOC -
ReplyDeleteAs I said some good moments - I'm trying to be patient to see if there is some kind of pay off in the storyline, but it just isn't doing it for me so far....
l Live few or tawhard... i think you missed the joke "Live free or twihard" :D
ReplyDeleteLOL your secret is safe with me ;P
ahahah, not sure you sweet ending will happen, doesnt sound so "supernatural" to me, everything ending well and Sam doesnt look like he even wants to go back to school at all.
But the next episode looks freaking amazing :D
ReplyDeleteXX
Yeah I saw buffy's ending.. I think. didnt spike die and then they went away in a bus? that was weird hahaha, not sure if I dreamed that
ReplyDeleteLol if you watched angel... even worst ending wow. I was so shocked ahhaa. IDK there is no way to end a show, I kida hate happy endings cause its too cheesy, but then bad ending is just too easy lol, they die and then the show is over wow, and then there is the one that you just say THERE COULD BE MORE ARGH!!!!
Awwww...thank you for the sweet comments <33
ReplyDeleteThank you...I'm glad you liked it....especially the *rubbing against sammy* comment.....cause thats a fun thing to do...totally educational :D
ReplyDelete<33
yep you saw it never dreamed it lol . I hope Supernatural ends with a bang ! as Dean say's "if i go down i'll go down swinging ". xxxxxxxxxx
ReplyDeletewhat ? ok even if you did not like it kl , but come on Bugs? lol that is the worst episode ever
ReplyDeleteno i agree with Dean "a clean slate" should be given to them Bobby killed his best friend to and Sam done bad stuff without a soul , he is basically saying he does not hold anything against them if he dies , he wants them to know no regrets .
ReplyDeleteyeh think they are keeping that for the big show down .:( . x
ReplyDeleteI was refering to him being killed by "Gouls" (not sure how to right that).
ReplyDeleteEdit: Oh AND...
