  1. That was so fast-paced! Go Fauxlivia!

  2. One of my favorite episodes since the break!!! I felt so bad and so scared for Fauxlivia... and then that surprise ending! Knew it!
I feel like I've been pushed and pulled in so many directions that my heart can barely take it anymore, and that's the Fringe that I love!

  3. AWESOME! Best episode of the last few easily.... but maybe I am biased since I don't care for MOTW as a rule.....

This episode actually had me jump once or twice and I am not jumpy! The correlation between Olivia's kidnapping in our universe and this kidnapping make me look back at that episode and rethink some things!

Henry is amazing. Andre needs to be on more TV shows, or better yet.... get him a leading role

Some how I never suspected Walternate of doing experiments... I am one of the few that felt he was being earnest when he said he cared about Fauxlivia and his grandchild. And he still will not experiment on children. The contrast between our two universes continues... Walter did experiment on kids, Walternate will not. It is further humanization of the "Evil " Red Universe "over there".

  4. I thought she was dead, the she wasn't, I thought they were going to take the baby in the hospital, then they didn't, i thought they were gona kill the grandmother, then they didn't. Heart thumping.

    Truly awesome episode.

  5. Crazy episode. Loved it a lot and I especially loved the "watchers" theme in Chinatown.

Anyone else hoping Fauxlivia names the baby Henry? Probably won't happen but it would be awesome.

  6. I knew Walternate was behind it. Such a hypocrite about not experimenting on children. His own grandchild. Wow. What I want to know is how the baby only progressed to full term and not continued to age and how the VPE still didn't affect altOlivia even if the accelerated pregnancy was faster than the effects of that disease would have been. I want that explained.

    ReplyDelete
  7. The way I understood it was that the baby's growth was accelarated, while the VPE progress was at a normal rate. In a normal VPE pregnancy the VPE progresses faster than the child and kills mom or child or both usually, but due to the targeted accelerated of the fetus/baby/pregnancy only... the baby outpaced the VPE progress.

It makes me wonder if Walternate knew about the VPE and this was his way of "saving" his grandchild from termination or stillbirth and not experimenting on Fauxlivia or the baby per se.

  8. I Suspect the baby will end up named....wait for it...William. That is how Belly is gonna come back. I also suspect the baby will begin to age rapidly as well. My Little off the deep end theory.

  9. OMG it's Bubbles from the Wire! Andre Royo cleans up nice. Good acting, and yes I think the baby should be called Henry.

I missed Peter tonight and I have to wait a few weeks, darn. It makes me happy to know I get a whole othe year of Peter and gang :).

  10. Can't believe we have to wait 3 weeks until "Fringe-ception"

    ReplyDelete
  11. Lol. I thought the exact same thing!

  12. Good episode. The end saved it, IMO. I was not expecting that at the end. Entertaining overall and I thought it set up the rest of the season well.

  13. Awesome is an understatement! Best episode next to Entrada. Which was written by the same who wrote Bloodline. I knew too Walternate was behind it. And too I thought she died. Excellent special effects, great suspense, great acting, wow, still hyperventilating.

  14. Made me jump more than once! Awesome ep.

  15. Entrada : Written by Jeff Pinkner and Joel Wyman
Bloodline: Written by Alison Schapker & Monica Owusu-Breen

Just to rectify.... beside Bloodline, the girls also wrote The plateau and Marionnette

    ReplyDelete
  16. 'The girls'.....seriously? And joel and jeff are no doubt men.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Alison and Monica are no doubt women.

    ReplyDelete
  18. You are absolutely correct. I apologize. When I watched Entrada two days ago I saw the writers names somewhere else. Thanks for the correction.

  19. That was an excellent ep , 3 weeks nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

    ReplyDelete
  20. I felt the same way. I knew the nurse was in on it and assumed she would kill Grandmama and take the baby or do something to the baby. As it turned it they still did something to the baby, it was just much more subtle.

However, I didn't think that Fauxlivia or the baby would die. I would bet they are integral to the rest of the season.

  21. This episode was awesome, but made just that much better by the fact we knew their will be a season 4!!

    ReplyDelete
  22. It's weird because I almost had every single thing that happened in that episode figured out before I even saw it (the promos,etc...just fit what I had in mind and it wasn't terribly dense enough not to forsee the twists, etc.) but dammit it was perfect, and exactly what I wanted to see! I think this goes back to what the producers said about giving us what we expect in ways we don't necessarily expect it. I love how much character development we got this week, and I realized in the birth scene that I care as much about Faulivia as I do our Olivia (ok not 100% but dammit she went through an ordeal!)

THE THREE of them did amazing!!

    lol, thats great! totally fringe-ception!!

  25. My exact reactions to the promo:

3 weeks - threw my hands up in the air "argh!"
    Walter saying 'LSD' - laugh
after promo - "That's going to ****ing awesome!"

    ReplyDelete
  26. Yeah, me too. I wasn't really expecting for altlivia to die, but when she was going through the labor, I actually started to believe all thanks to the great acting of Anna and Seth. But yeah I thought Oh No they aren't going to kill her mom are they? O-O And I love everything about Lincoln and Scarlie, now more than ever.

    ReplyDelete
  27. I like Lincoln and Scarlie more over there (seeing as we don't know O'Lee very well at all and Scarlie is the only Charlie left), but honestly Im hesitant to empathize too much for Fauxlivia. She is secondary to me. I like her, but if it comes down to Faux or O... I will choose Olivia every time without hesitating. That stated, it doesn't mean I wanted her dead or did not cheer for her to break free of her shackles....kick ass and survive.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Remember that the Observers may not be just observing. They just seemed so far that they do. Or they tried to set things "right" (right for whom?).

The very last scene of the 2x03 Fracture with that colonel`s voice over comes to mind :-D

    ReplyDelete
  29. I felt the same way about Scarlie and Lincoln tonight... and I was suspicious of Fauxlivia's mom too. I know she could have been in shock , but she just seemed "off"... like she was up to something. I don't think she would have the means to hire a medical team with ultra-advanced tech, but something sure seemed sketchy with her!

I still am not sure what to make of Walternate. I thought he was Simon Barsinister of the Red universe, but then he grew on me and I then saw him as a man forced to do unsavory things to survive or keep his people alive. Now, well.... I just don't know. I can see him going either way. Having no issues with experimenting on Fauxlivia to get his grandchild, or even coving up a child experiment or three.... I guess I reserve my judgement and hatred until I see EXACTLY what his plan is. His "bad" intentions may have benevolent motives behind them..... then again his "good" intentions could have malevolent motives behind them. The only thing I am sure of when it comes to Walternate is that he is complicated and conflicted.....

    ReplyDelete
  30. The birthing scene was just amazing. Possibly the best 5 minutes of Fringe yet.

    ReplyDelete
  31. I believed that Walternate was sincere about refusing to experiment on children too. Now every sign points in the other direction about it. He's desperate to save his universe and maybe he's falling to temptation of the moment. The chance to use the blood sample to see what properties in relation to Peter it may contain. If that's the case, who kidnapped Olivanate? The Observer seemed to know what would or could happen. This idea may be completely off base and Walternate is guilty of sinister motives. Have to wait 3 weeks to start getting a clearer idea. It's going to seem like a long time.

LOVE your review, I agree with what your saying... what was your raiting for the episode. You should write a weekly review.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Aww thank you so much!! That just made my day! :) I would love to do that, just no clue where to begin something like that. Thank you for reading all that!! I tend to get consumed with it and I knew I wouldn't be able to go to sleep until I somewhat formulated my thoughts. (I finally went to bed at 2:30am) I will have to watch it again tonight to give a proper opinion but I would say it was definitely one of the most intense, emotional episodes of the season...one of the best in the series so far in my opinion.

    ReplyDelete
  34. @darq I just had such a hard time watching Fauxlivia's mom. The whole time I expected to see a hint of what she was up to and really expected something when she was watching the baby get his blood drawn. I thought for sure it would involve a scene with Walternate. It didn't, but that doesn't lessen my suspicions of her. Maybe its just because we haven't seen much of her. I believe there have only been (?) three episodes with her in it, but something seemed off with her concerns. Walternate is a different story...I also don't know what to make of him. I have come back and forth between being creeped out by him to feeling sorry for him...I guess we will just have to see what his plans actually are

    ReplyDelete
  35. At first I found myself slightly disappointed because Fauxlivia didn't scream much as I would have expected and it all came so quickly after the build up. Looking back though, I can see that the same strength that was keeping her quiet while she was being experimented on was also there when she was in labor. I think from her facial expressions, she was in quite a lot of pain but she was keeping it quiet. Whether this was because of Lincoln and the host of people watching her or simply because she was more concerned for her baby's life, I don't know. But I agree with you. Definitely some of the best moments and probably the most emotional moments of Fringe.

  36. This episode was absolutely brilliant. It was a culmination of everything we have ever seen from the Alternate Universe. The writers set out at the beginning of the season to try and make us feel as devoted to these alternate characters as much as the original. This episode is complete and utter proof that they succeeded. The intensity of this episode, both with action and emotion, was absolutely brilliant. Anna Torv and Seth Gabel completely blew this episode out of the park with the birth scene. Completely and utterly believable and heartbreaking and heartwarming at the same time. An absolutely incredible episode. It had character development, action, and both answers and more questions. Simply incredible.

Totally, I'm about to rewatch it right now can't wait it was so good. On Sunday thefringpodcast.com with clint and Darell do a live chat at 3pm central time on their website and theirs a live feed and a chat room where lots of fringe fans chat about their thoughts as clint/darrell podcast, its pretty sweet you shuold check that out if you haven't yet. As far as submitting a weekly review, idk how to do it but when the recaps on the site come up like AD Harris or them, I'd say ask them how they get theirs posted and do it that way or just email DarkUFO at the submit a link comment thing and he'll probs get back to you.

Anyone else curious as to why they almost deliberatly scooted around telling us the name of the baby. They always referred to him as him, baby boy, grandson or just boy... even the card that they were passing around just said DUNHAM BABY BOY, and no name. Until the real name comes out I assume we should call him PJ (Peter Jr.) idk. Suggestions??

"Anna Torv and Seth Gabel completely blew this episode out of the park with the birth scene. "

I absolutley agree that scene was amazing!!! possibly the best of the series!

    ReplyDelete
  40. If they don't make Seth Gabel a series regular for season 4 I am gonna be SO upset. Lincoln is awesome! Especially since we've seen his "our universe" self....forget this "new FBI agent" they've cast and put Lincoln on our Fringe team!

  41. That was an amazing episode! I think they planned for her to escape. If you're giving a bunch of drugs intravenously why would you give her a sedative in pill form? Also, it took them way longer than it should have to track her down after she got out of the building. If Walternate planned the whole thing, then wouldn't it look a lot less suspicious that she escaped her captors then had the baby and ended up safely in the hospital afterward than it would if she would have had the babies with her captors but still ended up in the hospital afterwards. Or if she didn't survive, the baby would have. Walternate knew she was a fighter. He knew she would try to escape. I think the whole things was planned. Doesn't make Fauxlivia any less of a fighter, but I just feel like her escaping was a lot easier than it should have been. But wow, speeding up the fetus to out compete the VPE? That's genius.

  42. Wow thanks for all the info! I will have to look into it!

  43. I really liked Bloodline.....and i dont usually like the Over There episodes...BUT I ALWAYS WATCH THEM!!! So i was quite surprised to be sitting on the edge of my seat with this ep! Once again AnnaTorv did a BRILLIANT job. She truely is the QUEEN of out tv screens at the moment! There is NOTHING she cannot do! I still loathe Walternate & Brandonate though....i will never feel sympathy for Walternate at all. He didnt feel that there was anything wrong in kidnapping Alt-Liv and subjecting her to what he did! He treated her solely as an incubator! He continues to be heartless......human beings for him are for experimentation ...and not loving or caring about!

  44. Really, really fantastic episode. Had me on the verge of tears, and that's not easy.

that would be hard for OurLiv when she gets back her body if Lincoln is suddenly on the team.

    ReplyDelete
  46. I don't think being creeped out by Walternate and feeling sorry for him are mutually exclusive.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Well, yeah. But he wouldn't just "suddenly" appear on the team...there would be some wild and crazy scenario that brings them all together to work against Walternate! (AKA The Day We Died). In any case, I want him back.

    ReplyDelete
  48. it was one of the more predictable episodes... maybe I know the the show's style too well... but it that wasn't a bad thing as I really love how the episode turned out... this event will have huge repercussions in the larger scheme of "who Peter chooses", now that Peter has a son.

    ReplyDelete
  49. THAT WAS AWESOME :D can't wait to see the next episode :P
