  1. Great opening scene. I knew Jorge Garcia was going to be on the episode. But Hurley blazing with Walter Bishop? Awesome.

Nina's always reading those books. I hope this tease leads to a little revelation soon.

And, wow, great transition to Bellivia.

  2. Bellivia is going to be so interesting but I hope it doesn't last more than an episode. Peter is all telling the truth and before we can really see her true reaction she channels Bell. Something Bell did to her in the beginning of s2 when she came back and then we saw that in Momentum Deferred, the bell he rings. IT ALL CONNECTS!

  3. I love it when Fringe goes full on with the science element! Guest stars from LOST and Ferris Bueller....what more could we ask for. Except maybe a little more Polivia than we got. But a girl cant complain. At least im not Anna Torv have to channel William...NOW thats gotta be hard. One things for sure Olivia does love the BISHOP boys!

  4. Once again, another brilliant episode with amazing performances by Anna Torv, John Noble, Josh Jackson and guest star Alan Ruck. Touching, funny, exciting and intelligent at the same time. Loved the opening scene with Walter and Jorge Garcia! And WOW Anna Torv knocked it out of the park with that Nimoy impression!

  5. Random thoughts.....
    Mmmmmmmm.... Baconberry!

I just don't know which shocks me more, that Walter was with Yoko.... or that Yoko was with Walter!

MOM, DAAAAD! On my sweet 16th I want a floating thief pinata!

Two cases of JJ nepotism happening. Hurley "passing time" with Walter and Greyston Holt (Ferris Bueller's Day Off' Cameron's new thief project). he will be in JJ's new Alcatraz series. Nice to see Greyston... I liked him on Durham County a lot.

I loved the teetering from side to side effect they used to make floating man seem to be floating! Another case of mad scientist dad experimenting on people to help his son. Interesting "science" in the episode. At least Peter can give the kid advice about scientist dad's gone wrong... It was nice seeing Peter and Olivia (I refuse to use 'shipper combo names) happy, but is it just me or does seeing Olivia smile make you anticipate something happening all too soon to make her lose that smile?

Love the Walter/ Nina dynamic and time together in this episode. "No Walter... It's stil me".... and the two of them glancing at the door together.

Olivia channeling Bellie was AWESOME. She had his cadence and delivery down pretty damn well!!

Overall an interesting MOTW episode but not brilliant to me. I miss the mythology arc of the season and hope they get back to it fast! I rated it a "Great" episode.

  7. The bone saw exposing said Femur bone didn't bother you first? I feel floating men are just icky in general...

  8. Awesome episode. It was definitely fringy enough. Almost looked away when the scraping happened. Anna Torv is awesome. I hope she wins the Saturns and goes on to the Emmy's.
    Can't wait for next week.
    Fringe rules and rocks.

  9. I have to know. How many people started to call her Bell-ivia?

  10. First we get Subject 13, and now this!? I feel so spoiled. This show is on fire!

  11. I can handle a lot of things but that little scratching he did just ruined me...

  12. JJ Abrams pay homage to one of his other projects?? NEVER! ; )

  13. I'm just glad next week's episode seems to play with the season arc a bit more and episode 18 is full on seasonal arc! After the run of BRILLIANT "mythology" arc episodes earlier this season, the monster of the week stuff does not do it for me as much as it used to.

  14. My stupid-ass DVR didn't record while I was at work for some reason! I'm so pissed off at DirecTV! Gotta find it online now, I guess.

  15. It kinda does have some of the mythology arc, the fact that the two dense elements bonded due to the Universe breaking up, and that leading to Walter's managing to channel Bell.
The thing I've liked about this season is that every episode, even when its MOTW have managed to tie it in to the bigger story.

  16. I have noticed that too, they always relate in some way. It still is not the same to me for most episodes.

What really drew me back in this season were the episodes that deal directly with the seasonal arc and the progression of the main arc. Like when you thought it was all progressing too fast, I was ready for more I guess. I enjoy all the episodes on some level of course, and there have been some fabulous MOTW-esque type episodes, but I am moved most by the stories involving the lead actors either over here or over there.

I was that way with the X-Files too though when most people loved the freak of the week as much or more than the mythology. When I have watch X-Files again I skip the MOTW episodes altogether.

  17. Half of the blooper reel for this season is probably gonna be the olivia-bellivia transition,

  18. ha! hopefully!!!

  19. "I refuse to use 'shipper combo names"
I praise that. Its really frustrating. I was reading comment and was thinking what the hell is Polivia now? Not that other combinations are better. Bolivia, Fauxlivia, Bellivia....

  20. Ha ha I just got it. Here I was thinking Polivia was Pregnant Olivia.

  21. I voted Great. Not as awesome as 6B, but the ending was amazing. It really has me eager for next week.

  22. Nice to see Olivia smile.

  23. It was really nice to see Olivia smile(:

  24. I liked seeing her smile a lot, but I just KNOW they will wipe that smile off her face and make her pay for being happy. JJ is evil that way... a little happiness is soon followed be an equal or greater than amount of sorrow and pain. BAD JJ!

  25. Yeah I know. It was so nice to see her smiling so much but unfortunately you knew that mean that it wasn't going to last long!

  26. I feel like the episode itself was a bit of a let down (as far as the monster of the week) but the storyline with Olivia and Peter was freakin' adorable. I can't use another word for it. It was nice (while it lasted) to see Peter and Olivia so happy together doing all the cutesy new couple stuff. Unfortunately they were 'too happy' and because of that we knew it wasn't going to last long. I loved having Nina being fairly prominent in this episode as well. I want to know what the history is between her, Walter and William Bell! Also Olivia channeling Bell at the end was amazing. Anna Torv got Leonard Nimoy's speech patterns and facial expressions down! Feel bad for Peter though...he finally got together with Olivia and now she's "gone" again so to speak. They can't seem to get a break.

  27. so um, who else thinks we might get to see a little Anna kissing Blair Brown action when BellyO sees Nina again..

  28. Oh yes, that scene was great, funny , that's good to see " Hurley " back lol
Agree with you, I didn't expect that, poor Peter, he's in love with her and she becomes a man lol

    ReplyDelete
  29. I thought the exact same thing about the bell ;)

    ReplyDelete
  30. Haha oh my God, I never thought of that. Wow. Also Peter and Bell('s consciousness) were both lucky that Walter didn't ring that bell while Peter and Olivia were doin' it...
