    Apparently this was the first episode they shot, and i reckon it shows a little - the characters feel more settled in the pilot. Although that might be me imagining at, as i knew it was the first they shot before watching it.

    I was taken by surprise by Hugo's violence- i had figured him as very straight-laced, but this is going to make his character more interesting.

    Not as good as the pilot, but still solid a and interesting episode. The music is still charming me, too. As is Pippa.

    Oh, and on a shallow note, Arkady's coy moment when Danni says he doesn't need a call-girl makes me *melt*. :P

    havent see it yet but its wierd how showcase shows' pilot are not their first episodes (Lost Girl -episode 8 was the pilot though it was actually the best episode! )

    That is strange, although come to think of it maybe they do it on purpose, so that when they come to actually shoot ep1 they have ironed out any initial wrinkles and the characters and show will really shine? The first episode is the one that encourages people to watch the rest of the show, so it needs to be good. So maybe it's a conscious choice, for that reason?
