    It was okay. I was convinced they were going to kill Emily, but I still flailed angrily when they "did". I'm glad she isn't dead, cause I wasn't feeling the angst.

    Ugh. This show is going to be so different without Prentiss.

    I was like they actually killed her. Then I realized she couldn't be dead, because of the way Hotch was looking and the way JJ seemed.

    I will miss Emily and I realized tonight how much I miss JJ too.

    Matthew did a great job directing tonight.

    It was an awesome episode, but sad as hell! Although Prentiss didn't really "die", she is still out of the show (for now), which is depressing. I don't love Prentiss, but she was vital to the show just as everybody else who got the axe was (don't actually know if everyone was fired, or if some just chose to leave the show). Not to mention that seeing AJ Cook back for only 1 episode was horrendous. Don't get me wrong, I loved that she was back, 1 episode is still 1 episode no matter what. But, it just made me realize why I stopped watching CM for a while once she left. It was too sad to see her go again. The show just isn't the same without her, especially since she was my favorite character. I guess it was a bittersweet episode for both Prentiss and JJ. It was bad enough without AJ, but without Paget?, who knows where this show will end up?

    Awesome end to a very good, but dragged out story arc. I'm glad it ended well and I am glad it's finally over!

    Awesome to see Prentiss go rogue and hurting someone without a second thought! It really is too bad they never truly utilized the character of Prentiss until they were going to get rid of her.Brewster excelled the last few weeks.

    It bothered me to see Morgan react with such a feeling of betrayal and anger as his first instinct... it seemed somewhat off for him. He is a hothead and he is an ex-LEO, so I can see him getting upset about the lawbreaking, but he is loyal first usually loyal first, not only after he knows the facts.

    Did Reid seriously look around to see if there was another "Beanpole" behind him? HAHAHAHA!

    Mantegna plays "the heavy" so well, and I will never get why people don't like him in the Rossi role. To me he adds a lot and has since he first joined.

    LOVED Seaver tonight, "I'm pretty good with narcissists, I dated a few!" Now that had me rolling! At least she is an awesome character if we lose Prentiss.

    I have no idea why they brought JJ back, she was completely unneeded in the episode, adding nothing some other random character could not have added and just reminded people of her leaving.

    The ending was predictable to me. I would have been shocked had they actually killed her.. or if Gideon was at her funeral! HA! Overall a very good episode, but as with all of the "Lauren" episodes lately.... not much actual profiling. I miss the more in depth profiles... especially of the darker criminal minds.

    Still was hard for me to see Doyle as threatening when a few times a week I see the same actor in DrecTV commercials uttering such t"threatening" lines as "Kiss my giraffe and "Opulence, I has it."

    i think by not showing her face at the end implies Prentiss had plastic surgery. it's a way for them bring Prentiss back for a cameo or something without Brewster

    My god, Paget was amazing! My heart broke for her when she was listening to Garcia's message :'( Had me in tears too.

    Since Emily is my favourite character, I am beyond relieved that they didn't kill her. I guess they left the door open for Paget so I'm praying that the pilot she's in doesn't get picked up and if it does that the scheduling works so she can come back.

    The show won't be as good without Emily Prentiss.

    I knew she wasn't dead though. They way JJ looked when she told them, it just didn't seem right. If she had really lost one of her best friends she wouldn't have kept her composure so well, especially when Spencer hugged her and cried. :'( Uh! That broke my heart. ;'(

    SO glad Emily is alright and let's just hope that they catch Doyle soon. You know she can't come home until they do.

    We kind of got the best of both worlds if she was going to leave... We get the team's reaction to her death and her riding off into the sunset... still alive...

    Paget was great. Really glad that they didn't actually killed her, but since Emily was my favorite character I won't be watching CM anymore. Everyone was great in this episode except for Morgan who was totally out of character to being so angry with Emily (but I've never liked him much so..)
    Was also grat to see JJ one more time but as I already said without AJ and Paget the show wont be the same.

    I love Rossi too. I didn't even know people didn't like him until a couple of weeks ago.

    I am going to miss JJ and Prentiss, but unlike others who watch this show, I am not going to stop watching it. There are other really good characters on the show, like Reid and Morgan and Hotch, who have always been there.

    Someone stated earlier that everyone had been fired or left, well all I have seen is two characters leave. Is someone else leaving?

    It won't be the same, but it doesn't mean it won't be good either. I love Morgan, Reid, Hotch and Rossi. I am sorry to see JJ and Prentiss leave, but I don't watch it just for those characters. I watch it for the team as a whole.

    Sorry probably I didn't explain myself , but I just mean that the show won't be the same for me I like Hotch e Reid but with two main character gone in just one season I can't even keep thinking of a team. Maybe it's just me since I'm still angry about the firing. i'm the kind of person who old the grudge :) probably next season I'll give it a shot again

    Oh, I just meant everybody in the show's entirety (I'm just going to use their character names): Elle, Gideon, JJ, and now Prentiss. Sigh!, the last 2 kill me. But, I guess after another year goes by of watching occasionally, I can get used to the "new" yet off team and watch regularly. But, for now, it's hard. Plus, I haven't warmed up to Seaver yet.

    Personally, I think the ONLY character exit that made any impact whatsoever to the series was Gideon. So many of the episodes seemed to play around him, plus he came off as a sort of father figure to Reid and the team as a whole to me. Rossi has the voice of experience, but he lacks Patinkin's gravitas, and doesn't come off quite as fatherly to the team. Hotch has become the father figure, but as their leader he has a line he has to walk too.

    AS far as "newness" goes JJ was home office (even when with them on the road) and the team was in the field in my mind. So her leaving did not even make me blink. I never liked Elle, and Prentiss replacing her was a step up anyway. She stepped right in - one brunette for another without the team missing a beat. To me though, she had the least impact on catching the criminals of any of the team (after JJ)... that is, until the last 5 or so episodes when they expanded her role GREATLY.

    The great thing about Seaver's addition to me is that it COMPLETELY changes the dynamic of the team. When Emily or Rossi came in it was one agent for another. Seaver is a newbie and brings a freshness to the team that no other new member has brought. Not to mention they explored her backstory faster than any other new member.

    I liked Prentiss, but I never felt she had a defined role on the team honestly. Reid is the walking encyclopedia and quirky comic relief; Rossi (as was Gideon) is the voice of experience; Morgan is the physical "first in the door" agent and really the heart of the team emotionally; Garcia is the tech queen extreme, and Hotch is the team leader of course. What was Prentiss? She was the female all-around, good agent that did a little of everything and because of that she was a utility player on their team. Even JJ had a more defined role... she found the cases and handled the press.

    I guess to me, they cut (fired or let go) the most expendable characters on the series and brought in a role that actually added something new.

    All that said, The series is not about the team anyway. If it was they would have called it B.A.U,, The Profilers or something on those lines. They call it Criminal Minds because it is about the criminals the team hunts and catches. It's about the cases.

    I can see that... If they had brought in some guest star to play liaison it would not have been as personal an episode, but I do think Hotchner knew the plan and could have told them all she died on the table instead of if they hadn't brought JJ back.

    I haven't watched Criminal Minds pretty much since the beginning of this season but I thought since it was Paget's last episode I would tune in to see how her story ended. I also did watch the previous episodes so that I got enough back story. I love what they did with her character. The only other Emily episodes we ever got I disliked but this one made her cool. I don't understand why they waited until she was leaving the show to finally give her a great storyline. I also loved seeing JJ return for this. Regardless whether or not people think she was necessary to bring back I absolutely feel like she was. She was the only who had the connections to learn about Emily's undercover work and her own background on Emily but most importantly she was the only one who could have lied to the team about her death and got them to believe it without a body. They trusted her and more importantly she wasn't part of team anymore so she could go to France to personally give Emily her new identity and the team wouldn't catch on. Yes, Hotch was in on it too but I don't think he could have convinced them all like JJ did not to mention he certainly couldn't travel to France without getting the team suspicious. It had to be someone outside the team but someone they trusted implicitly.

    Having JJ back reminded me of what this show lost. The episodes before this were painful to watch because I feel like the team unity is gone. As much as I love Garcia and the male characters I just can't get into it anymore. I strongly dislike the new girl. There are some people who thought JJ was a useless character, well if that's the case, then this girl is even more useless. I feel like they brought her on the show simply for eye candy...

    Wow this was one of the best and worst episodes!! I loved it because it kept my heart racing and my emotions running. I also hated it because now we have no JJ or Prentiss!!
