Now that the season has finished what is your opinion on the entire season? How would you rate it? Where would you rank it? Vote in the poll and sound off in the comments.
Firstly, SOOOO happy to see "Good" as a choice since there have been many polls were I felt "Great" was too strong, but "OK" was too weak!
I thought this season was seriously up and down. Also for the first time in 3 years, The guest stars were the best parts of the series for me. The Annie and Mitchell romance was simply annoying to me on many levels. She's a ghost, why does she get new wardrobe every series... and multiple changes this series?
Annie has always annoyed me, but this year (other than the romance moments) she was actually fun to me for the most part. Still a busy body , but what else could a ghost do other than go to the light/door...
Mitchell was all over this year from the stress. I honestly felt they had too much on Mitchell's plate this season. He was dealing with the stress of the murders and the "wolf-shaped bullet" prophecy. It turned him all kinds of Emo to me.
Nina... my least favorite addition to a series I watch in a long time and she is another clueless twit.. She is a doctor... she should have a brain. She is still adjusting to being a were AND having a baby that has her worried enough... but then she decides to draw more police and investigations into her life? Just nonsensical! I almost cried when she did NOT die.
George I think suffered the most this year. Most of his time was spent with Nina and we did not get to see him truly shine. His manic spastic charm was missing for me. I blame Nina. She held him in check and took time away from scenes that could have been all his in past series, but now he shared the camera, lines and face time with her.
What can we say about Harrick. AWESOME. Even as an amnesiac he was menacing. I just waited for the dam to break... and boy did it! Massacre much? He added so much to the last few episodes and lifted the series up whenever he was on screen! He will be missed.
I love me some Robson Green and McNair was AWESOME! The character itself, the subtlety and depth Robson brought to it, the way he was in Mitchell's mind all season.. incredible. If not for his character and plots this season I think that season would have been subpar at best.
The season's "shock" at Mitchell relapsing into a murderer and the house mates horror at it played wrong to me. Vampires kill. The End. How and why the house mates were hurt, angry, disappointed by Mitchell's actions all rang hollow to me. They knew what he was and what he did when they befriended him. They were his support when he had problems before and they turned to his execution party when he just did what he did for decades. I was looking forward to a very interesting Season Four.... until the final bit of the last scene.
Windham and The Elders with their Year Dot" and vampire rule could set up a very interesting Season Four, but I don't know if the series would be watchable for me with just George, Annie and Nina in lead roles. I am admittedly vampire-centric and usually not a fan of weres or ghosts in anything I watch (Exception made for McNair). Overall I think this season had some very high points (mostly by Harrick and McNair) and some very low points (Nina on the whole, Mitchell and Annie together), but on the whole it was just average to me. Probably the worst of the three so far to me.... and without doubt the worst "ending".
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
