I watched the first 3 episodes of Bedlam and have enjoyed it so far. Sad to hear that most people are not enjoying it or it has low ratings over there.
The ratings started out well but quickly took a nosedive. It's a bummer because the show didn't really start to get good until episode 3. Unfortunately, most of the viewers jumped ship by then.
that's the problem today, more options to watch and viewers have shorter attention spans. If you do not grab people by episode 2 or 3, a show is in serious trouble! No matter how much it crescendos into a AWESOME second half of the season.
Though, compared to most things on TV, I think it's quite poorly done with so many cliches. Though Will Young's acting still keeps my eyes on the screen.
Can't believe that they've cancelled it. I think this show had a lot of potential to be so much better, and had a really good storyline. They real you in then spit you out - thanks for wasting my time BBC! :(
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Well...Wasn;t it described as an eight part mini series anyway?
ReplyDeletenot that I recall
ReplyDeleteNot a big shock It never really found its footing and let's be honest... not many post-apocalyptic series make it past season one in recent years.
ReplyDeleteI like Bedlam, but no one else seems to. That probably won't get a series 2 either.
