Who do you think it might be?

Multiple sources are confirming that a wildly popular character on an hour drama that has long been an Aushole staple is about to take his/her last breath.

I’m told the producers of this unnamed broadcast series are planning to kill off the fan favorite either in the season finale or soon after the show returns next season.

It’s not clear if the decision was made for creative or budgetary reasons — it was likely a combination of both — but it’s my understanding that it was not arrived at lightly. Far from it, in fact.

    Sometimes I get the feeling he makes these up. By the time we actually see the finales/premieres, we'll have forgotten about this blind item.

    I hope it's not Castiel on Supernatural or Wilson on House.

    It could be Castiel - there should be surprising deaths on the show and this one would definitely surprise. I hope it's not so, though. I'm very fond of Castiel!

    It could be Wilson - a fan favorite for sure and RSL is doing a play on Broadway. If it's him, then I'll honestly not watch House ever again. He and House are the only reason I'm still slightly interested in the show.

    It sounds more like a CW show. Supernatural perhaps. I doubt they would kill off our Broyles or Nina. I'm guessing Bobby from Supernatural, he has had too many close calls recently and the actor has had to postpone other works for the show, so I guess it kind of works both ways for them? He is also a fan favorite so it would make sense that it was a tough decision.

    Maybe someone from Grey's? I doubt they have budget problems but if it's creative it could be Teddy for the hole they have placed her in. Grey's been killing its doctors every season too so it would make sense.

    My guess if I had to pick only one ould be Prentiss from Criminal Minds since she has a new Pilot, the drama with her and showrunners from last year, and her story line on CM looks ominous. Although the aritcle said in the finale or nexyt year. Her story is going to wrap veyr soon I think on CM... so maybe it is not her afterall....

    These make me laugh, is it just me or are they usually blanked terms, which will probably happen. I don't know how many shows there are that he covers, surely one of them will kill off a character in their finale or near enough.
    It's like me saying that in the finale of one show something surprising will happen, yeah, its obvious, but I still win.

    I don't think that Grey's really fits, it's ABC's flagship drama and I don't think they want to kill any of the main cast, and Teddy's storyline is taking off at the moment.

    The writers don't know for sure that Supernatural is getting a 7th season though. In the spoiler comment, Ausiello says that the writers are thinking about killing off the character in the beginning of the next season, and since Supernatural doesn't yet know if they're going to get another season, I don't think it can be them that he's talking about.

    On that note, all but one of my favorite shows have yet to receive word of a next year renewal, so I guess this information likely doesn't apply to what I watch. Here's hoping...

    I thought of that too but it was the in the finale "or" the beginning of next season. that made me consider him still. As in maybe they know he will die and have scenes to film, but are waiting to get the final renewal answer from The CW before they determine if he dies in the finale or next year.

    Well if he is ruled out, then my first two choices are out, and only Wilson remains since House will be back next year.

    I wouldn't be surprised if it was Peter Bishop from fringe. The writers have screwed up his character and hasn't given him nothing to do, they will pull a "jen" and kill him off. Its not like he has a fleshed out role anyways.

    Who cares about peter? The writers sure didn't when they had him not tell the differences between the Olivias, had him kill the shapeshifters making everyone go against him, for lying to Olivia, etc, etc, etc. So what better way to resolve it than to kill him off?

    I agree with some of the posters on here. I think it could be Castiel from Supernatural Look at this season and the way they have pretty much written him out already! Taken into consideration the angel storyline is being wrapped up slowly but surely and in other spoilers I have read, two unexpected deaths are coming up on SPN...and Castiel is getting a very emotional episode. I hate to admit it, because I am one of his fans, but it seems like Cas is leaving and soon. :(

    It would never be Derek as if they kill him off, they kill the show as it's central to Meredith and Derek being a together and happy. Plus Izzie is no longer in the show anyway, so to kill her off would be futile and not really anything big.

    Oddly enough the very reasons you list as reasons to not like him, or as reasons the writers don't like him are the very same reasons why I think they DO like him and why I like him.

    He has been more of a focus this year because of those plots and I think his darkside was always there from the beginning.

    As for Angel... no one disliked Angel. People liked him so much he got his own spin-off.

    I don't agree with that. If you go back to the blind items he posted on EW, you can see that everything happened. think the problem is that he almost never goes back and says: 'ok, people, see what happened in this episode? That's what I was talking about in this blind item'. There should be a cathegory in his site for 'Blind Items revealed'.

    My guess is that is Olivia Wilde, aka Thirteen on House, because of the 'wildly popular' in the text. But I could be reading too much. Actually, another fan said that.
    I made a list of the possible show where this death could happen, given it's a show on broadcast TV, which is already renewed or with great possibilities of renewal ('cause this could happen in the beggining of next season):

    Maybe it could also happen on Fringe, Brothers & Sisters, CSI: NY, Law & Order SVU or Parenthood, 'cause these show are on the bubble, but prospects looks good.

    Interestingly enough, Ausiello didn't mention that the show is extremely popular, which he always does when talking about House or any other major show on TV.

    also, can josh jackson stalkers plz stop covering these posts saying everyone hates peter? noone expresses as much dislike towards peter as you! i might say he has the least acting strength out of the main three, though i do agree he's given the least to work with. i love peter for his many parallels to harry potter.

    i need to catch up on the last few weeks of house, but i saw a suicidal looking preview the other day, and i always felt like house shouldn't end without hugh laurie dying, though that was before he got over the vicodin...

    I don't think it could be. The way this sounds, they are letting the actor go for good and as much as Sam and Dean die on SPN, they always come back next season. There is no SPN without Jared and Jensen.
