Can you tell us a bit about the Merlin: The Dragon Tower attraction at Warwick Castle?

“I’ve been at Warwick Castle for the first time this morning actually, I’m absolutely blown away by the place. It’s just got so much going on there. I was there to get a waxwork figure of myself made in character as Merlin, which is going to be living up at the castle. It’s being made by the team from Madame Tussauds, so I had several hours of doing that this morning.

“Then I got the chance to hold some birds of prey and a giant eagle. It just feels like the right place for the UK’s first ever Merlin attraction, it makes sense to have it as the home of the great dragon.

“Visitors are going to get the chance to interact with the sets from Merlin, they’re recreating Gaius’s chamber and you cast spells in there, then you actually can come face to face with the great dragon himself. It’s hugely exciting for myself to be working on the show for so long and now visitors will get a chance to experience it all for themselves. It opens on April 16th.”

Have you begun filming the new series yet?

“Yes, we’ve just started last week on the fourth series. It feels like, coming into the fourth series, the show’s really taken its place in people’s hearts.”

    Get Merlin a girlfriend! His longest lasting relationship was with a young woman who subsequently died in the same episode, and whatever could have happened between Merlin and Gwen never actually went anywhere about halfway through season 1.

    At the beginning, I had some hope for Merlin and Morgana, but now she's a psychopath.

    Now that I think about it, everyone who he's ever shown an interest in has either died, fell in love with someone else, or became crazy.

    I wish this show was available in Blu-Ray. The colors and beautiful sets would look awesome.

    Glad SyFy picked the show up again. For a second-run series, it gets enough viewers to keep coming back. If it can hold on till 100+ episodes, I can see it being syndicated on SyFy or some other cable channel. Hopefully I can watch the episodes over the internet a couple days after they air in the UK. Hate the 6 month wait till it airs in the US.

    I am starting to <3 merlin! I just wish that arthur would find out about merlin. But in a way where he can do some sort of spell on him that arthur suddenly knows everything about him. i.e every time he saves his life, and how he is special. That would be my dream to see that in series 4. Haha it just annoys me when someone gets all the credit for what merlin has done himself :P Anyways... I wish i could be in merlin, as a servent or merlins friend, or even an extra. That would be so good, i have even been looking on the internet for casting auditions etc but have had no luck :/ I just want an adventure! ( after all i am a sagitarius! :D) ... So... Yeah x -Becky Johnston

    I absolutely adore this show. It's fantastic. So glad that series four will be the full 13 episodes. (I have to say that I wish the series were longer but, beggars can't be choosers.) Merlin needs a girl friend/ love interest, I wish Freya had lived... they were really cute together.
    I honestly can't imagine Arthur finding about Merlin's powers. That would be the most intense thing that could ever happen on the show. Merlin's secret is a really big part of who he is as a character. I want Arthur to know about his powers, but at the same time I don't.
    I honestly can't wait for series four.  Ever since the series 3 finale I've been dying for the series 4 premire

    Well no, Freya comes back at the very end of Series 3. I think there is a real possibility that she may return...possibly as a "Lady of the Lake"- esque figure/character. But yes, I do agree that, as long as it is not overdone, a love interest for Merlin could be nice.

    I cannot wait!.

    bah, the whole gwen and arthur relationship has started to bore me now. It's always Arthur. Arthur and Morgana (sort of), Arthur and Elena, Arthur and Sophia, and now Arthur and Gwen. Merlin has only had freya, heck even Gaius has had a longer relationship than Merlin. I'm probably hating on the Arthur and.... relationships as i am slightly jealous xD

    I love merlin and the current storytelling but i'd like to see somethings like merlin would, as they happen, and not find out what and why or even who the bad guy is until merlin finds out... that could be cool.

    Oh and i want the Kilgarrah dragon to have babies as they'd be real cute for CGI'd dragons!

    I've actually found, tht along with some merlin spoilers, Freya actually comes back to camelot. i dont know how, or whether it's even confirmed but apparently she comes back to the show for series 4
