I was waiting to know the title of the 2 parter finale. But this title really took me by surprise. I am really thinking what it could mean and how this story could span 2 episodes... Sure, it will be a Red John episode, no doubt. Could it be a drugs related story considering what strawberries means in that circle; Red John could play into that somehow. Hydnellum peckii is a fungus nicknamed Strawberries and cream; it is used as an anticoagulant. Maybe it could be something related to that.
hmmm... interesting choice of title; I wonder what it means... Anyway, glad to get another Red John episode after almost a year (the last one was season two finale). There are several Red John lose ends to be tied up, * starting with the Kristina Frye. I am sure she is no dead end. * there is this thing with Bret Stiles who somehow knows things about Red John and more interestingly, is willing to share that information with Jane. * there is the question of the Red John's second mole. I wonder if they will carry the second mole arc into the fourth season. It's all but certain now that Bertram is the second mole, its just a matter of Jane discovering it. * Also, infamous cop killer Todd used his last dying words to remind Jane about Red John's words to Jane ("Tyger Tyger"); something that no one but Red John and Jane knows.
I think you found a good explanation with the fungus there. Wikipedia tells us that this fungus forms mutually beneficial relationships with a variety of coniferous trees so this all might refer to the Red John network and/or the mole.
yeah, i guess you are right. anticoagulants are used to stop blood clotting, I think. It also goes with the Red/Blood theme of the show and the episode titles.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Cool title. Can't wait!
ReplyDeleteI like the title .. hope it's action-packed
ReplyDeleteAm I the only one who immediately thought of Lisbon at the mention of Strawberries? I love double episodes. Looking forward to this.
ReplyDeleteNope me too!

ReplyDeleteThe Mentalist was just a 23 episode season... But the episode order was increased to 24, I think that's why they decided to make it a 2-part finale.
ReplyDeleteI'm just worried that the name of the ep means that they might make Lisbon another Red John mole... :(
ReplyDeletethey wouldn't use Lisbon as the RJ's mole...It would be too shocking and nerve wracking for the viewers to accept....
