CBS’ How I Met Your Mother ain’t going anywhere (unless, of course Neil Patrick Harris embraces his inner Harold and Kumar alter ego and starts tripping out on the Alex Jones radio show, which seems rather unlikely).
The network has just renewed the hit comedy for, not one, but two more seasons, which will continue to give CBS a great opening act on Monday nights (assuming the show isn’t shuffled to later spot in the lineup).
So the bad news: You’re probably not going to find out who the mother is until at least 2013.

ReplyDeleteHopefully we'll get to meet the mother at the end of this season, then get to know her over the next season and the eighth season we'll see Ted and her in a relationship. That's what I hope at least.
ReplyDeleteThis renewal was never in doubt after the Charlie Sheen-anigans last month, but nice to know there is multiple years coming and the writers have a plan!
ReplyDeleteI'm in the camp that doesn't think the show is going to end with Ted meeting the mother. Does anyone honestly think we're not going to get to see that relationship unfold?
ReplyDeleteI think we will see her sometime soon.. this season towards the end like some have said, but we will NOT know it's their mother until later, possibly the final episodes of the series. Then they will back fill for a run of episodes and end the series.

I think Jason Segel once mentioned that he still has a contract for two more years and after that he wants to move on to something new. Ever since I was pretty sure they wouldn't end the show before that.
ReplyDelete2 more seasons... I guess by the end of next season he'll meet the mother and then we get one season of the relationship. 2 more seasons leading up to finding the mother sounds a bit much to be honest.

ReplyDeleteYou know what CBS give the extra mill to Neil he deserves it more than Charlie Sheen. He has been nominated for countless awards has won 2 Emmys what has Charlie done? Oh, drink, do drugs have sex and cause trouble. That 2 million was a waste of money.
