I know right, I went all roger rabbit on that comment myself PPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAASSSSSSSSSSSSEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Season one introduced the second universe, Season Two showed us the second universe, with season 3 being about both. So its a good reasonable theory that Season 3 will introduce us to a third, with Season four being about it, and it's impact on the one we know.
I still say the First People made the machine and destroyed their world splitting it into multiple universes. So everything will just recombine if the machine is worked correctly by Peter.... or could. I suppose it could shatter everything again...
I'm guessing that the machina will malfunction in the way that instead of creating/eliminating Universes, it will mess with the "Time" rather than "Space" and S4 be a time-traveling season :P
Milo, good thinking. That may account for the strange things we are seeing filmed for the last 4 episodes. Like Dunham and Sam Weiss together. 14 yr old Walter 18yr old Ella Peter in his Mad Max gear Good thinking 99!!!!!!!!
True! I guess I mean that the theory makes sense to me. I have always seen the Observers as time cops in some ways. The idea of time travel just fits into that so nicely.
The Observers travel thru time (and various universe) to make sure certain pivotal key events happen to ensure certain events in the future, and/or to stop other specific events from happening. They don't directly interfere to avoid creating a paradox, but they nudge events just enough to get the job done by letting others make the decisions that need to be made in order to accomplish their goals.
At some point in the overall FRINGE story arc the observers have to come into play DIRECTLY. I just can't see JJ Abrams (or the creative team) inserting them into every episode and not having a much, much larger pay off later. Plus time travel is not unheard of in the Abrams universe....Alcatraz is rumored to have time travel elements, his Star Trek movie had it, Alias had some elements of it or time stasis at least, even Felicity had time travel in some form ,and of course LOST had time travel too.
Basically with any Abrams show you can pretty much count on conspiracy, a McGuffin, Time travel, something going down in Tunisia and Greg Grunberg to guest star at some point.
I see the observers as observing certain key moments in time and at the point where Walternate was about to discover the cure for Peter, they interfered. Now they are trying to rectify that. Also is it time travel or different timelines?
Yeah I see the Observers as a sort of "Adjustment Bureau" like that new Movie that just came out. I wonder how many Philip K Dick books JJ read as a teen and young adult.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
their giddiness at answering the last question made me very giddy and i found myself wanted to just go EEEEEEEEEEEEeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
