Thanks to FringeWatch for sending us the following..

The Fox thriller has tapped actress Emily Meade — best known for her memorable (albeit brief) stint as Michael Pitt’s prostitute-girlfriend on HBO’s Boardwalk Empire — to play a new FBI agent.

  1. is she gonna be a regular, recurring or just gonna guest star in one episode?

  2. It was said in a previous post that shes a possible recur for 4th season, if there is a 4th season

  3. She's in one episode but with the option to return. That said, they put that in their casting calls allot. The mind reader guy was also cast as a possible recurring character.

  4. She's not credible at all as an FBI agent IMO ...

  5. I hope that she is older than what is in her photo. She looks like a teenager

  6. At least give her a chance before you write her off.

  7. Of course, but when you look at the picture you could think she's just a teen... But you're right we gotta give her a chance even if I would have prefered to see more our Lincoln Lee in the team instead of a new FBI agent like this girl... But that's just my opinion :)

  8. After a little research, it appears that she is 21.

  9. I think we're missing the typical "Where's agent Amy Jessup?" comment. So, where is she? Was she eaten by the mole-baby?

  11. Probably mole babies. More likely, the apocalypse/evil bible stuff got her.

I imdb'd her she does look young, I hope she's ready for a show like fringe.

  13. I liked her on Boardwalk Empire, she played a very good prostitute with a mangled face!

  14. I have only two things to say on this topic.

Agent Jessup asked too many questions about Gene the cow.
Where do you think Walter gets his cadavers to experiment on....

  15. perhaps she'll be the new "junior" fbi agent of the show and astrid will finally get some recognition?

  16. I remember that. She ended up offing herself.

  17. I wish people wouldn't judge actresses by their looks, she was very good in Boardwalk Empire, just because she looks young doesn't mean she can't get the job done.

  18. It's not that. It's just that because she looks so young she may not convincingly pass for an FBI agent. I don't question her acting abilities.

  19. She was terrible in 'My Soul To Take'...Then again the material wasnt exactly too hot

  20. She's hot and she played her small role in Boardwalk Empire well. Nice casting.

  21. Just remember that a lot of people didn't think Anna Torv would make a credible FBI agent either. I think most Fringe fans would now agree that that is not true.

That said, I'm not sure how I feel about adding this character. After all as others have said it seems that all of this has happened before already with Jessup (who in my humble opinion was much hotter).

  22. I can't comment about her acting skills, but she does look (and actually is) very young.
Don't FBI officers need a 4 year degree then a couple years of training? :P

    Anyways, let's see what happens.
