UPDATE: The Reviewer Table is up and ready for your viewing pleasure!

Hey Fringe Fans,
Aside from the worrying ratings, what did you make of Stowaway. I've took the results from the 'Stowaway' Poll and added it to our Episode Table:

As you can see, you're still not sold on Bellivia, Fate and perhaps a slightly weaker than usual explanation of the COTW, and so 'Stowaway' becomes the third lowest rated episode of Season 3.
The Complete Episode Table is also here below:

Let me know what you think... Agree? Disagree?
The reviewer table will be up shortly

Do reviewers have a psychological characteristic making them decrease the rating throughout the season even if the episodes are just as good?
ReplyDeleteIt's OK to do that with games and movies due to the timescale, but not as much with TV.
I think I would have rated it a bit higher, one of the better MOTW episodes to me, but not as good as most (or maybe all) of the serial season arc episodes.
ReplyDeleteI think it was better than Os
ReplyDeleteThe episodes that were ranked high in the 3rd season all revolved around the Olivia/Peter heavy episodes.. Just saying:)
ReplyDeleteI just do not like Bellivia. Nothing to do with Anna Torv, I just don't like the character of William Bell, not even when Leonard Nimoy was playing him. The sooner they get rid of him the better IMO.
ReplyDeleteFlat out disagree. At LEAST above Amber 31422.
ReplyDeleteMy view of the season has somehow decreased in the latter part of it, but it's just because after the first awesome episodes, IMO the season it's now showing a bit of tiredness in the storylines, plus they've done what in my opinion are some bad choice like the preggo bolivia storyline or this later Bellivia storyline.
ReplyDeleteI'm starting to think the same thing. It just seems like people want to hate this half of the season. I understand that this Bellivia thing can bother some of the fans, but the episode itself was really good, imo.
ReplyDeleteSo, of course I disagree with the rating.
I don't know...the pregnant Fauxlivia storyline won't even be centre-stage until season 4. Of course, people worry where it might lead, especially with what Sam Weiss said, but 1) Should we really trust Sam Weiss? 2) We aren't capable of predicting the future, so how are we so firm in our belief that it's bad?
ReplyDeleteAnd the Bellivia storyline is, I'm sure, very important to the finale. With Leonard NImoy in retirement (not to mention his character ceasing to have a physical form), I can't think of another way to answer questions, but to use the soul magnet setup from previous seasons. Sam Weiss may be able to help us, but again, who can we trust? I rather lay my bets on Bellivia.
I do agree that there is less urgency in the second half of the season and they may have focused too much on Peter and Olivia's relationship. Then again, it's probably because Fringe set the bar so high at the beginning of the season. I believe the show will reach it again once they build up enough energy and tension.
The very last sentence is the truth.
ReplyDeleteEven producers said that after Etranda, Fringe moved to the next chapter. And in the next chapter you won`t get answers any time soon. The story needs to build up.
Remember the first season - at the beginning we all tought "well we don`t know what it is about, but I`ll give it a shot `cause it`s interesting". As the season progressed we started to get a little sense about the story, but the writers just teased us with questions and there were no answers. But in the first season finale we knew what it was all about that whole year and when we saw Olivia inside the WTC we all went like "WTF?"...it was just brilliant.
The second season started to build a whole new story which "ended" in Etranda, and now we have to wait as the story builds up again.
We just have to be patient and I`m sure it will be worth it. It always is :-D
I agree. The real problem is: we don't know if we'll ever get to see the next chapter.
ReplyDeleteNo... we are in the new chapter, but it`s possible we won`t see the end of it.
ReplyDeleteImmortality is last for S3?????
ReplyDeleteWTF?
That episode was 100 times more entertaining than 'Stowaway' .'
this doesnt really work, does it, when one person's average rating is like a 7.0 and someone else's is consistently a 9.5? you need a fairly consistent average. Seems to me like the reviewer's think differently of the rating system.
ReplyDeleteIt's more just one person isn't enjoying this season, and the other one is :P
ReplyDeleteAnd it's just to show you a variety of opinions, it's not a science
I agree, which is why I am so surprised to see that nearly every one of the reviewers ranked this one lower than Os. I felt disconnected with Os. It was a good episode, but I wasn't invested in it all that much. But I really enjoyed the story being told in Stowaway. I hadn't realized that so many people viewed Stowaway as a decrease instead of an improvement. I always enjoy seeing the reviewer table from week to week... it's interesting to see how everyone responds slightly differently to the new episode.
