CW casts it's Angel and Cooper

Pilot ShowsBritish actor Ben Aldridge has landed the male lead in the CW supernatural drama pilot Heavenly. The project, from CBS TV Studios and writer Richard Hatem (The Gates), centers on Lily, a dedicated young female attorney, and a former angel, Dashiel Coffee (Aldridge), only recently turned human, who tackle cases at the attorney's legal aid clinic - she saves clients' butts while he saves their souls. Hatem is exec producing with showrunner Rob Doherty (Point Pleasant, Tru Calling, Dark Angel and Star Trek: Voyager) and Mimi Leder (ER, Vanished), who will direct.
Also Alex Breckenridge (Life Unexpected) has landed the role of Cooper in the CW's Cooper & Stone about two smart young female detectives on Chicago’s North Side who are best friends, equally adept at discussing fashion, music, pop culture as they are solving homicides.

ReplyDeleteoh and talking of ripoff lol, I knew shredding for the wedding was one of biggest looser (duh) BUT OMG! I watched the first 5min last night and PWAHHAHAHA! Its not just a little bit, its couples, they have color team, the host is like creepyweirdo twin with the Biggest looser host IT CREEPED ME OUT! lol. SAME thing but with cheesy music to make it look like a show for teenager. Seriously it's worth watching BL's intro and then watching SotW LOL

ReplyDeleteAnd let's say that they do..They get the plot,they read it and (for whatever reasons)they like it..
There wasn't ONE PERSON to think something like: "Hmm,good plots!But I could have sworn that they remind me of something...What could it be???"
Cooper & Stone sounds good, i hope Awakening and Secret Circle get picked up. Heavenly, Danni LLabowski, Hart of Dixie sound just ok.

ReplyDeleteHeavenly sounds so bad. A couple of years ago I predicated Angels would become the new Vampires in terms of awful teen romance books, etc I was definitely right. Would much prefer a Castiel spin off!
