Loved it! It was a very intense episode. I'm going to watch it again so that I can make sure I didn't miss anything.
Emily's actions in this episode really showed where her kickass personality came from. The shooting of the scumbag's ear was unexpected and left me asking myself if that was really Prentiss. The machine gun scene showed us just what her former life was like and what kind of things were expected of her. It made here BAU life seem like kid's play. Her emotional scene when she listened to Garcia's message showed her softer side and that the team is really a family.
CM has lost an integral character. Prentiss was a seasoned agent who contributed greatly to the show. JJ reappearance showed me how much of the family feel is gone. It left me longing for the first I felt like they were trying to begin drawing in the new agent as a part of the team in this episode, but it just didn't work. I don't know how this is going to be handled going forward, but she seems useless to me and doesn't contribute anything to the show but someone to take up space.
I hope the powers-that-be behind CM know what they're doing. From my viewpoint, it doesn't seem like it. There is a huge sink hole left in this show. I don't understand why they decided to mess with a combination of story lines and characters that has made it one of the most watched shows on TV. They should take to heart the old saying "If it ain't broke don't fix it"!
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
A bucket for my jears...
ReplyDeleteweel i'm really glad she didnt really die.
ReplyDeleteLOL. A+
ReplyDeleteThere wasn't enough angst. I predicted this would be the case when she "died" and we still had about ten minutes left/
ReplyDeleteThough she is not really dead, you would think they would have her mother at the funeral.
ReplyDeleteI don't the angle of the camera centered on the procession so we didn't see the whole crowd.
