ReplyDeleteAs a guy, I never gave a rat's ass about Flashdance so the stigma of that film in relation to Jennifer Beals has never really been a problem for me, personally. I think she's superb and her chemistry with Jason Clarke is immense. Delroy Lindo and Matt Lauria are equally wonderful in completely different ways and really help make this what might be the best ensemble cast on TV. As I see it, the only weak spot of the show is Wysocki's niece and her partner. Neither of them are very compelling and they don't add a lot to the overall tapestry of the show.
As a side note, it's getting to the point that you could make a drinking game out of how often Wysocki asks for a new partner. It's quite funny, although very repetitive.
My only concern is how well the show holds up against DWTS. I hope it holds on and that Fox renews it.
