    ...WTH kind of promo is that, CW? First you pre-empt Smallville and Supernatural so Vampire Diaries and Nikita can benefit from being against American Idol, and now this? The tagline is horrible, and this may be breaking news to you, but Chloe and Oliver are NOT Smallville. CLARK is Smallville. I am just about done with you, CW. After Smallville ends, you can guarantee I will not watch your network. Supernatural be damned (it's been a sucky season, and season 7 will most likely follow suit).

    Crazy every one is bashing CW after complaining for years they don't promote the two shows enough. .. and when they do it's not enough or too late. I am just glad they did something AT ALL!. Great segue and poster to me.... but I'm in the minority that understood why they did what they did and thought it the correct move (handled incorrectly).....

    Many people have waited for Chloe's return so that is big news on Smallville.... Maybe not as many peaople that have waited for Sam to get his soul back and the brothers to stop fighting each other so much...but both are noteworthy events. I love the tie in of two "people" returning on both series.

    Same has been on regularly but lost his soul last season. He just got it back before the Hellatus... maybe.. Hence the tone of the poster.

    True... Sadly, I'm not much a Chloe fan anymore, but a lot of fans miss her. It's a big even for sure and I think it was a good head line as well.

    As for Sam. God, I miss that boy. I can't wait to see him this Friday!

    Yes, Chloe coming back is news, but it's not big news. We've known for a long while that she was coming back in "Collateral". Also, I wouldn't consider writers running out of story lines for Sam and Dean "noteworthy". If the writers didn't come up with such convoluted plots and Eric Kripke was still at the helm, I'd enjoy it. I used to LOVE Supernatural and used to love every episode but lately I've liked maybe a handful of episodes.

    The CW has to market their network, so they have to have promotions, or else their network would fail. I just wish they wouldn't half-ass their marketing tools (posters, television promotions, etc..)

    Is this the best the CW can do? Have they been promoting it with trailers on the network? Not that I have heard. What they did last week was really poor and unprofessional, and they are compounding the problem by skimping on the publicity this week.

    I'll believe it when I see it. I still say there's a 5-10% chance that this will actually happen Friday. Will be waiting with baited breath for CW's announcement that they're bumping it once again. I don't trust anything CW says when it comes to air dates for Supernatural. They can change it at the drop of a hat for no reason at all. If it happens, I'll be shocked. Thrilled beyond my wildest dreams, but shocked.

    I understand your frustration, but as someone who still love the show and the characters Sam and Dean, for ME Sam coming back IS VERY noteworthy. I miss the boy and the brotherly dynamic. I like season 6, but I was missing this too much. So I'm really happy that it all is come back now. Just my take.

    I wish they'd do more too.. they seem to only promote 2 or 3 shows regularly and the others get sporadic half-assed promotional material. Or they just let TNT do their promotion for them... either way it's not a good way to run a network.

    OF course they should have had a full sized poster for each in a perfect world. Being what it is... I kind of liked the pic used for SPN. I want the brothers to get back to that kind of "let's have a beer" sibling relationship and not what it's been like for 2 or 3 seasons basically. It reminded me of good times past I guess.....

    Except Sam's face is not a sitting-on-the-hood-of-the-car-having-a-beer-with-my-brother face. If that's the tone they wanted to go for, I'm sure there are going to be better brotherly scenes in the episode they could have used. It would have taken a tiny bit more work than just pulling up a still that's already been circulated.

    Yeah, thanks CW for finally promoting one of your longest running shows. Although it kinda feels like I'm thanking you for doing your job.. ..just.

    Okay, I'm bitter and it's not healthy. Just let Like A Virgin air so I can get my fix and then I'll feel a bit better XD

    and I wish they showed some of Dean's pretty pretty face. It's a shame. They couldn't of picked a pic where both Sam AND Dean were standing side by side with their sawed offs or something?

    Looking forward to the episodes but that poster seriously sucks! Reminds me of the time I used Paint to 'photoshop' my friend in a picture beside Jensen. I bet the fans could make a much better poster.

    I'm glad that they are doing at least something but honestly? Compared to all the effort they put in - and wasted - promoting the shows' return last week, this is simply lame. Maybe they are out of money now that they flushed all the previous promotion stuff down the toilet by - unnecessarily - repeating TVD and Nikita instead?

    Oh, I did understand why they did it - but they could've repeated the mid-season premieres on Weds. this week and not bump up another two shows' mid-season premieres. They could've just as well lit their cigars with the promotion money. And all they needed to do was actually trust their programing - as TVD proved, it absolutely did not need the Friday slot. So, they destroyed any chance for SV and SPN gaining momentum because they were all chickens.

    They've been running a NICE promo spot this week for "New Episode Friday" or something of the like. I saw it a couple of times and each time it made my heart race and my excitement build.

    Sadly, I consider this week a complete LOSS in the excitement department. Generally, by Thursday, I am amped the eff up (my non-SPN friends can barely stand me on Thursday afternoons... and avoid me all day on Fridays). I think the huge disappointment from last week exhausted my "Like a Virgin" excitement.

    ...of course... check back with me tomorrow morning. ;-)

    That might be the biggest punch in the face I've ever taken. It's ugly, and stupid, and it represents a huge waste of opportunity...I mean, how many people out there would LOVE to work on the marketing for this show? Making little graphic art is a huge hobby of mine and almost half the stuff I make is inspired by SPN...and this just annoys me to no end. CW is a shit hole run by crackheads. Besides that, all the SPN fans know that Sam is back for certain but nobody has seen Chloe yet at all.... WTF? It should at least be "Sam's back, but is Chloe?"


    FAILFAILFAILFAILFAIL with a side of FUCKYOUCW.


    Geez, I'm really sorry about that, but that was my final straw. :/

    In all honesty, I think (while the last 2-3 seasons they haven't had much to do with the character) Chloe is the best thing to come out of the show Smallville. I love most of the characters, but she's somehow always been my favorite...

    I think the CW hires people to do SPN publicity every fifth Sunday that occurs during a blizzard in Tucson. The rest of the time they depend on the fans. On the bright side, we do a better job.
