SPN beating Smallville isn't something I expected. Nice pickup all around from last Friday, tho. I think this makes SPN the #2 show on the network for the week. Very cool!
Supernatural and Smallville each rose 11% from last week with each scoring a 1.0 rating in adults 18-49.
Smallville 8pm-0.9 and 2.17 million viewers 8.30pm-1.0 and 2.23 million viewers
so for the hour=1.0 and 2.20 million viewers
Supernatural 9pm-1.1 and 2.29 million viewers 9.30pm-1.0 and 2.22 million viewers
so for the hour=1.0 and 2.25 million viewers
off course these numbers are subject to change in the FINALS which will be released on Monday. But overall Friday (1.0 and 2.228million viewers) saw the CW have their second highest rated night of the week, just behind Thursday (1.1 and 2.586 million viewers).
We need all the Nielsen box owners to tune in! They need to invite their fans over to watch so they've got guest viewers. This would boost the ratings!
Great victory on a show which is on the same network and is finishing its finale 10th year... *sarcasm off* You should look at the competition on the other networks. Oh yeah I forgot there is no way you'll beat any of them LOL
Competition on other networks doesn't matter, it's good just for bragging rights. What does matter is that Supernatural is the CW's 2nd best rated show in A18-49 this week.
yeah up from last week but still down from before. I know bad mood. I just rather think its gonna end and then YOUPI season 4 announced than think we get one and we dont.... tsktsktsk pessimist
If the ratings hold, it beat Supernanny on ABC in the key demographic too. Sounds like you're suffering from sour grapes. Don't worry. I'm sure Smallville will beat Supernatural again next week. Let SPN fans have their moment.
It's not comfort, it's a fact. Beating shows on other networks doesn't get you renewed. Beating shows on your own network does. Always compare shows only to other shows on the same network. That's the only thing that the network itself is interested in.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

Smallville.... who CARES it's the last season any way. This is fun cause you can enjoy it without worrying about numbers.
well.. no show on CW will ever beat other network like fox, abc, nbc... (maybe it can happen once... )
ReplyDeleteany way.
I guess one gets comfort where it can. Doesn't say much especially as Top Model starts again.
ReplyDeleteFringe is up a good % from last week thats a bonus!
ReplyDeleteyeah up from last week but still down from before. I know bad mood. I just rather think its gonna end and then YOUPI season 4 announced than think we get one and we dont.... tsktsktsk pessimist
ReplyDeleteIs the final season of a show not supposed to be the big pay-off season?
ReplyDeleteDon't be so pessimistic! *hug* Fringe has still 8 episodes to go! A change in the middle of a season is never easy for a show.
ReplyDeleteFox = douchbags
ReplyDeleteThough they do 1 douch move per year so lonestar took the hit... maybe UH i'd really like a s4.
