Question of the Day - Which character on any TV show do you feel, that the show would be better off without?

Hope you all had great weekends!

Today's Question of the day comes from dupinka who asks.

"Which character on any TV show do you feel, that the show would be better off without?"

Another great question, and to be honest I had a hard time thinking of a personal answer. Had it been about movies I would have said Jar Jar bloody Binks from the Star Wars prequels, however as they asked about TV I finally decided on Kate from Lost.

After a promising start in Season 1, Kate's character seemed to be fairly pointless going on and was just used as some sort of pawn in a bizarre love triangle that just flipped-flopped between Jack and Sawyer. That whole storyline never interested me one bit on the otherwise awesome show.

So what about you, which character on your favorite TV shows would you like never existed, the ones that make you cringe when they appear on screen.

Sound off in the comments.

  1. oh no...nnnoo. N-O! N O, no no no no....no...NO!
He will never, and I mean never ever, be as annoying and pointless and as frustrating as Claire Bennet from Heroes. I actually dreamed about buying NBC Universal just to kill off that character and kill off Tim Kring.

This dude has nothing near Claire's annoyance level :)

  2. Quinn and Clay from One Tree Hill... I never really warmed up to them.

  3. :OOOO Claire was like the best part of Heroes
    she and her cheerleader outfits

  4. I know I will probably be in the minority but I pick Alex from, "Nikita". I think Fonseca is a horrible actress and in only one episode did I actually see her as an action hero. I also don't think it is totally Fonseca's fault either, even though it is a huge part. If there is one fault with the show, it is how they are writing her character. I love Nikita and am a huge fan but every time Alex comes on screen, I cringe. I also have a strong feeling from the moment I knew she was working with Nikita that her character is going to betray her and sadly, I am usually correct. I hope not but if it means Alex is gone, I would be more than pleased.

  5. Wow! I'm shocked by your answer.... but this is a tough one no matter what show we watch or how we feel... or at least I think so.

I think True Blood would be better without half a dozen or more characters, but since I cannot limit it to one...and the same is true for the entire new class of interns on SCRUBS the final season. Can I say Garret Dillahunt on Raising hope? It's notthat the show would be better without him (quite the contrary), I just miss having have memorable guest starring roles on shows I watch and actually like!

I think my answer may anger more than a few, but to me House would be a much better series without Cuddy. The romance does not belong in the show at all and almost always plays against the weekly plots. I preferred Chi McBride as a foil for house... by far.

    ReplyDelete
  6. Oh God yes, Cuddy. Not a bad character as such but the romance side of things has killed House a show for me.

    ReplyDelete
  7. By the end of Heroes I found EVERY character annoying on some level at one point or another.... but overall Claire was not one of the worst offenders to me at all.

    ReplyDelete
  8. I am not a big fan of hers either, but that character is what makes Nikita different than La Femme Nikita and is so integral to this new reworking....maybe just a different actress?

    ReplyDelete
  9. Brandonate must die.

    ReplyDelete
  10. Kurt from Glee
    Annie from 90210
    Bonnie from The Vampire Diaries
    Kate from Lost
    Tyler from V

    ReplyDelete
  11. Yup... I don't dislike her as an actress.. or that character per se... just everything the character brings to the series. Passive-Aggressive behavior, unprofessional, and just so frustrating.... Either fire House for his insubordination (or the fact that he almost kills someone at least once a week) or quit whining and pouting about him lying or misleading you... kinda pathetic. While I am venting... what woman would EVER wear half her outfits if they had that job?

    ReplyDelete
  12. Agree with all but 1 of yours.. well I don't watch 90210 so I can't comment on Annie...Great choices! I cannot believe I forgot Bonnie and Kurt!!! *hangs head*

    ReplyDelete
  13. Wow! Five likes out of 16 comments by 10 commenters... all in 25 minutes! That's not even in a Supernatural related thread... HA!. I wonder if that comment might hit the record... is there a record?

    ReplyDelete
  14. Though not the worst (I'll get to that), I'm surprising myself by agreeing with you about Kate. Evangeline Lilly's acting was good, and fun to watch, but the character of Kate was pointless. I could have done without her, and though I loved her chemistry with Matthew Fox, he'd have paired up nicely with any number of other female characters (Cindy maybe?).

The Cosby Show's Olivia signaled the demise of that show. They needed a new little kid when the rest of the cast had grown, so they just threw her in there.

My vote for the absolute worst? ACHARA!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  15. Quinn and Clay on One Tree Hill (b/c theyre only there now that Lucas and Peyton are gone)
Serena on Gossip Girl (she just annoys me and the better storylines/drama are w/ other characters)
Vanessa on Gossip Girl (shes just so bland and boring)
Dixon on 90210 (hes boring too)

    ReplyDelete
  16. Oooh, my question, awesome, guys, thanks for posting it! Okay, when I was suggesting the question, I was totally thinking Ellie on Chuck. Okay, I guess she is essential for the storyline, but her perfection just bothers me (or maybe am I jealous..) Also, Foreman on House has kind of lost the charm. Sheppard Book on Firefly, since his backstory was never actually revealed (I blame Fox) I cannot help but thinking he seems rather unnecessary.

And Tom Zarek in Battlestar Galactica. Frak, that guy has annoyed the hell out of me. Is it just me?

    ReplyDelete
  17. That's a tough one.

Agree with people about Tyler on V.
Not a fan of Sam on Glee.
Oh! Aaron Stark on Flashforward! Right! He's my least favourite ever!
I'm surprised no one has said Mohinder on Heroes. Loved him the first season (like everything else about heroes). Evil Bug Mohinder ruined everything.

    Probably LOTS LOTS more.

  18. I think it is a HUGE part of it. Fonseca seems really sweet which is the problem. I didn't know who she was until this show but then I went and looked at some of her other work and it is still the same. She really sucks. If they got a chick who is believable as Alex, my tune might change. I mean, the writing is bad with Alex because they try to play up a girl who has about as much bad-assness as a kitten. Drama wise, Fonseca is fine. But fighting scenes? NO.

I have no idea who I would recommend they replace Fonseca with. Heck, Megan Fox would be better.

  19. Peter's mother from The Good Wife.
    Ames from Human Target.
    Chloe from Smallville.
    Jessie from Burn Notice.
    Fisher from Bones.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Couldnt agree more on Tyler.

Skylar in Breaking Bad, although I understand that Walter would have never done it without her, they could of maybe found another way. Her character is so annoying, preachy and her sleeping with her boss adds nothing to the show.

Never liked Libby in Lost or cared anything about her. I guess she was needed to make Hurley want to go to the others camp, but they had yet to even go on a date and yet we were supposed to believe they were soulmates. All the flash sideways/alternate characters as I didnt like that storyline and how much time it took up in the finale.

Friday Night Lights, I never cared for Landry and felt Matt had better storylines and interaction with the other Panthers. The Tyra rape storyline could of been done with another character.

Others; Silver (90210), Haley (OTH), Tina (Glee), Scofields Mum in Prison Break

    ReplyDelete
  21. Tyler serves a purpose. I have a drinking game, where every time he says or does something stupid, I take a drink. Needless to say, by the time every episode is over, I'm too drunk to realize that the show is going to be canceled soon.

    ReplyDelete
  22. 26 comments and not a single "Daniel Shaw". Time heals all wounds.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Hannah on Bones, although I guess she is gone now. That voice/her acting was like nails on a chalkboard to me.

    ReplyDelete
  24. THIS. ALL OF THIS.

Fonseca is pretty, but that's it. Her acting makes me want to spork my eyes out. Plus her voice is rather grating and kind of whiny, like her character. Kick out Alex, leave Nikita and Michael :)

    ReplyDelete
  25. Aw, I think Bonnie is a good character. She's really improved this season. I never understood all the Bonnie hate.

    ReplyDelete
  26. hm he's had less screentime recently, though

    ReplyDelete
  27. Annie from 90210 gets my vote. She is whiny and doesn't take responsibility for her actions, she steals other people's boyfriends, and acts the victim all the time... not an appealing character.

    ReplyDelete
  28. I LOVED Shaw. The guy was so incredibly awesome it almost hurts. Shaw says Shaw is awesome. And Shaw is always right.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Chuck, Jenny, Vanessa, Serena, Lily and Rufus on Gossip Girl. That should help with their clothes budget, right? Keep the Vanderbilts and the Waldorfs then I might start watching again.

Half a season ago, I probably would have said Tyler on Vampire Diaries, but I like his growing relationship with Caroline (will until last Thursday anyway). Matt could go though. He's never been more than a foil for Caroline's growth or whatever. I find Bonnie a little annoying, I have to admit. First, I think she carries part of the responsibility for Sheila's death (she convinced Sheila to really open the seal, and then fell apart half way through it) and that the show has never really dealt with any guilt on her part. It's all about how much she blames Damon. I would find it so much more interesting if there was some self-blame in the mix.

Naomi on Private Practice. Very small and very annoying storylines.

On the opposite end of the scale I have to say that the one character I miss the most in a current show is John Winchester on Supernatural. He wouldn't have to be there the whole time. They could hunt seperately, but wish he could have been on the show more.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Jesse from Burn Notice. The show was doing just fine before he came, they really didn't need to add another character.

    ReplyDelete
  31. I literally cannot think of anyone!

    ReplyDelete
  32. I also liked Shaw, but a decent chunk of the Chuck fan base did not.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Wasn't it you calling for the return of Lana? :P

    ReplyDelete
  34. Those are the characters I'd like to see tossed into a bus and then thrown off a cliff :

1 - Angel Batista & Maria Laguerta (Dexter).

2 - Damon and Darby Drecker, Ronnie and Jessica Haxon (Hung).

3 - Sheila Keefe (Rescue Me).

4 - Walt Jr White and Marie Schroeder (Breaking Bad).

    5 - Becca Moody (Californication).

6 - LaFayette, Terry & Arlene (True Blood).

6 - Jeremy Gilbert & Matt Donovan (The Vampire Diaries).

    7 - Lily & Marshall Eriksen (HIMYM).

9 - Shane Walsh (The Walking Dead).

10 - Kurt, Rachel, Tina, Figgins and Finn (Glee).

11 - I would have said Gina Toll (In Treatment) but she left after season 2.

12 - Katie Andrews (No Ordinary Family).

13 - Landry Clarke Friday Night Lights), but he left at the beginning of the final season.

And, of course, the #1 no matter what : Tyler Evans from V. His character is shitty, his dialogues are very poor but deep down, the real problem is the actor. He just simply cannot act.

    ReplyDelete
  35. LOL DARQ. It's a sign of something big! Idk what, don't ask.

    ReplyDelete
  36. To each their own, but sometimes I find myself saying that Lyndsy Fonseca has acted better than Maggie Q more often than not.

    ReplyDelete
  37. from a while ago; CJ on west wing. Lana on Smallville should've been kicked off the show much earlier on, Claire & Kate on LOST, and probably others...

    ReplyDelete
  38. I thought I couldn't think of anyone but then I read the comments.

    Oh boy.

Definitely agree about Cuddy's role in the romance, it upsets me and makes House NOT House anymore. The Huddy is definitely ruining the show for me and if Cuddy left the building for a while and ended up on some other doctor drama, I would NOT mind.

I also agree about Alex from Nikita. 'Nuff said on that.

    Guh, I only watch so few shows though >.>;;

Lisa and Ben are going away on Supernatural so that's fine. Chloe could die on Smallville and I wouldn't complain; Oliver and Clark angsting would be so amazing. On Being Human, US version, DANNY NEEDS TO GO. I dunno why but like, he needs to go so Sally can get over him. And this Bridget chick? DNW. Then again, we're only 4 episodes in, I'm guessing they need all three main characters to have their own little issues.

My friend says the whole cast of Bad Girls Club just needs to go, the show does not need to exist. Also, Fairly Legal is iffy, more so the show than the characters. I'll add to this later =/

    ReplyDelete
  39. Lily & Ted (HIMYM)
    Maria & Angel (Dexter)
Audrey & Jennifer (Rules of Engagement)

    ReplyDelete
  40. But if there is ONE thing about Maggie Q, is this. The girl has the chops to play an action hero. She has been in about a billion action flicks and some of them major franchises (MI III and Live Free or Die Hard. I do admit in LFODH, I didn't see what all the fuss was about with her performance. Then again, I am not a Die Hard fan anyway and thought the whole movie sucked worse than MI III).

If you can actually pull off the action sequences and not look like Napoleon Dynamite dancing, I can give leeway with the acting. However, if you can't act or even do fight sequences, there is no hope for you.

I watch the show for Maggie Q and Melinda Clarke. There scene alone in All The Way made up for the Alex BS.

    ReplyDelete
  41. A good list... especially 2,3,4,6,7,11,12 ,13 and of course Tyler Evans! Laguerta needs to go, but I swing back and forth on Angel. I would agree completely on #10 as of this season, but I think Glee needed Finn and Rachel in the beginning. Now they can leave, graduate them or expel them... it makes no difference!

Is the #9. Shane Walsh thing about the differences between the comics and the series? I enjoyed the dynamic he added to Rick and Lori....for a season If it continues with undertone this season, I will join you in the "please eat Shane" club!

    ReplyDelete
  42. i just couldnt remember his name and couldnt be bothered to find it but definitely agree

    ReplyDelete
  43. So what, Chuck himself was never really my favorite. Casey and Jeffster rule, big time.

    ReplyDelete
  44. HIMYM without Marshmallow and Lillypad? How, exactly, come on. They are literally essential. Though the show is not what it used to be, those two are really great together.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Well I guess our opinions differ about a lot of things since I enjoyed LFODH and the entire series as well as MI III (which is monumentally better than MI II). But I still don't see why people are so critical/harsh of Lyndsy Fonseca on her fighting and acting because I don't see the problem with either ability for her.

I can see Maggie Q as a tough woman with the capability of an action hero, just as much as I can see it for Lyndsy Fonseca. And I agree, that the scene with Maggie Q and Melinda Clarke in All The Way was amazing.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Ok....This is a fun but tough question :))

I'm picking people who i don't like, and think are pointless, whether they are essential to the show or not :))

    GOSSIP GIRL -
Chuck Bass -extremely annoying, and his acting is embarassing....actually
    embarassing is an understatement :))
Nate - Why is he on the show again....Bland.
    Dan - Boring
    Vanessa - Annoying

    90210 -
    Annie - Whiny
Naomi - shallow and extremely irritating
    Dixon - patronising and annoying
Ade - i liked her....but this new storyline makes her extremely unlikeable.
Silver - same as above......used to like her....now she's so preachy.

    SUPERNATURAL -
Lisa and Ben - I like them, but i find myself getting bored when they're on screen....and even that's not much :((

    DOCTOR WHO:
Amy Pond - Bad acting, and grating.....only tolerable when Rory is around....that way i can focus on him instead of her.

    LOST -
    Charlie - Annoying
    Claire - equally annoying
Sawyer - just when you think there's substance to him....Bam...turns into a total tool...for every good intention....there's several bad....when he took the guns....i decided...you're a tool for life no matter what you do, and yes that even includes Le Fleur :))

    NIKITA -
    Michael - Baaad Actor...i can't take him seriously....totally wooden :((

    VAMPIRE DIARIES -
Damon - Why am i supposed to care about him....total tool and Hams the screen up.
Stefen - Bland and high and mighty
    Elena - whiny and annoying.
Actually all the supporting characters are better than the Main actors.

    GLEE -
Sam - takes up valuble space
Rachael - unlikable and sooo selfish
Quinn - irritating and not very nice
    Mercedes - Loud and moany

can't think of anymore....but i'm sure this was more venting, than actually contributing anything...ah screw it :D

    ReplyDelete
  47. For current shows:

Jesus on True Blood (don't mind the character but this show needs to weed out some of its plotlines and characters)
Sam on True Blood (sorry but I liked him before they decided to make him have this dark backstory...)
Matt Donovan on Vampire Diaries (give him something to do or cut that poor actor loose)
Pierce on Community (sorry, Chevy but you're the least funny of the bunch)

For old shows that I watched:
Gunn on Angel (there's evolving a character and there's completely changing a character)
Tara on Buffy (liked the actress, hated the character)
All of the slayer wannabes turned stayers from the last season (groan)

    ReplyDelete
  48. I like Kurt, but agree with the rest.

    ReplyDelete
  49. HIMYm without Marshall and Lilly? You are hilarious LOL

They're the best couple on TV.

    ReplyDelete
  50. Oh, Brandonate's okay. But I hope William Bell stays dead.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Did you like CJ when she moved over to Lost? I did not.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Peter's mother much of the time, but when she gets together with Alicia's brother she's funny.

    ReplyDelete
  53. OK, I can take being reamed. I think Supernatural would be better off without any of the angels, and yes that includes Castiel. They have told the story and now it feels like they are forcing angels into stories just to keep a popular actor involved. I would much rather see Castiel disappear into an angel civil war never to be seen from again and then give Misha Collins his own show, preferably a comedy. He deserves a show of his own and Supernatural deserves a break from the douchey angels.

In White Collar, I would get rid of Sara. She's an unnecessary character in a show that's already too crowded. They have regular characters that get shafted in story lines so I don't know why they need to add another. I find her annoying and would rather have Alex as the spunky woman with vibes with Neal. Or neither of them.

Bones - Daisy and Sweets. They both annoy, mostly Daisy though, and I find they are the two I care the least about. Get Gordon Gordon back to take Sweets place and kill off Daisy. Or just let the two of them go be annoying in another town.

Old shows - Buffy took a turn for the worse when they added Dawn. Likewise, Angel with Connor. In fact, any show that adds a younger person for absolutely nothing plotwise.

    ReplyDelete
  54. I just gave you a like :-)

    ReplyDelete
  55. i know heroes was cancelled, but i've never hated a character more than i hated mohinder. i had to close my eyes and ears and go 'la la la!' until he was gone...

    ReplyDelete
  56. I think it wasn't necessary to have Charlotte in LOST. She lasted about a season and a quarter. Would it be better without here, I don't know. The only important purpose she served was being Faraday's link to his life on the Island, which was important in Desmond's journey in the Flash sideways. Maybe Ilana too, but it would have been hard to get all the Candidates all together and understand what was going on if they didn't have someone to guide them.

    ReplyDelete
  57. I can not agree with you at all...I think your just jealous of Kate!!

    ReplyDelete
  58. Jared Wysocki in The Chicago Code. He's ruining the show!

    ReplyDelete
  59. I always thought Kate actually had one of the weaker backstories. She murdered her step father who was her real father because due to him she wouldn't "have anything good"...oh whatever. So what's left for this character...ohh...let's have run between the two hunks for three seasons. No wonder people got annoyed.

It would have made more sense if it had been very explicit Wayne had been abusive to both Kate and her mother. Then her murdering him might at least have made some sense. But t was like...I don't know...there was some rating things hanging over the story so they had to go the fuzzy route. I still remember how Charlie..the junkie.could never be shown "shooting up" due to network sensibilities.

Hence i couldn't get on Kate's side until she took Aaron, cared for him, put his needs over Jack's and her own, then went back to the island to find Claire and re-unite mom and son.

So in the end..not useless at all.

A character that was useless...how about that Andrew guy the last couple of seasons of Buffy..why were we subjected to him again?

    ReplyDelete
  60. WOW! I didn't see that coming! But ya... I agree with you!

For me the angels changed SPN completely and not in a good way.

I don't "dislike" Sara on White Collar, but They don't NEED a new character just yet. I will wait to judge that one until I see how she plays out a bit more.

Never cared for Sweets either or the revolving interns. They all seemed to be added to add elements of humor to a show that already characters funnier than Sweets or the mess of interns.

Buffy waking up and having a sister was the biggest WTF moment in my TV life... bigger than, smoke monsters, time travel, or polar bears in a rain forest even! She added a whiney element to the series which was not needed. Just as they left their school days behind... enter a bratty high schooler... She may be the number one unneeded character in my mind. Connor and Cordie? EWWWW - nuff said.

    ReplyDelete
  61. Kate was the least involved in the mythology of the island. Even though I agree with your reasons (and others) I always felt she was needed. She was the "I got your back" person on the series. Always ready to trek with you on some crazy mission or support you when you needed it. Plus her character was the entire focus of the original pilot outline and series heroine in the work meetings. If they didn't have her character in the series it may never have gotten made. That said... she annoyed me....

    ReplyDelete
  62. she was one of the least awful character on the show

    ReplyDelete
  63. I hope it does get cancelled. I think it sucks ass. I would rather have seen FlashForward stay around than V.

    ReplyDelete
  64. Lana was the worst thing about Smallville. Nothing against the actress, but the character sucked.

    ReplyDelete
  65. I liked Heroes better when some characters still didn't have powers. There was somewhat of a balance. Once Mohinder and Ando got powers, and Mrs Petrelli was revealed to have powers, it went downhill really fast. Everybody didn't need to have powers really, did they?

    ReplyDelete
  66. Chloe is very corny at times, but how can you not love her?

    ReplyDelete
  67. Not only the everybody and their mother (literally) had powers issue, but the fact that so many of them seemed to have mastered their powers so quickly. A hero show is so much better when they are trying to overcome their shortcomings compared to one superhero versus another at the top of their game... at least in my eyes.

    ReplyDelete
  68. Hm, where to begin? Supernatural = Bela Talbot (thank God they killed her off!). Smallville = Lana and Supergirl. White Collar = Sara Ellis. Fringe = Alt!Olivia. The Mentalist = Van Pelt. Psych = Shawn's overblown ego (yes, it's a character of its own). Etc. Etc.

    ReplyDelete
  69. Zoe, Keamy-Lost
    Whistler, General Krantz,-Prison Break
    Nikki/Jessica/Tracy-Heroes
    Maryann, Sophie Anne, Pam-True Blood

    ReplyDelete
  70. So many people are saying Kate from Lost. Don't forget Nikki, Paulo, Zoe... anyone?

    ReplyDelete
  71. Yep that was me,sorry but i just don't see the love in clark and lois, clark and lana was sweet, innocent perfect and you can see the love,in clark and lois i don't see the love it's like a brother-sister relationship with a little sexual tension between them.I understand that clark has to end up with lois but at least make it beautiful not boring, there's not even 1 scene of "clois" that i want to re-watch.Season 10 so far was crap the only goodish episode was "luthor" because of lionel the rest were horrible and i'm not talking only about "clois" i mean in general.I also hate the fact the clark didn't choose lois because he fell in love with her,he choose her because he could not be with lana, the hole clark and lois is forced.

    ReplyDelete
  72. I loved the angel storyline twist in season 4. It was unexpected and huge. It was needed like the last piece to the puzzle and completed the whole storyline, giving us also a great new dynamic between characters (Dean/Cas friendship) and a handful of other options and twists. Moreover, I think bringing in Lucifer without bringing other angels would be just weird. He was an angel too, after all.

I get why people think angels' storyline is over, but I'm kind of still enjoying it. It's a post apocalyptic world and all monsters, all supernatural powers are involved. Makes more sense than having the angels leave and be good little soldiers of heaven again. It was supposed to be chaos, and so it is. Plus, i really love Balthazar and cannot wait for more of him. I have a feeling the angels might be leaving at the end of the season, though, and not coming back ever again (if there are more seasons).

Personally I'm perfectly ok with the angels on the show, but once they leave, I'll be ok with that too (I mean, I'll miss Castiel as hell, but I'll understand it and move on). It's Grandpa Creepy who should've never come to this show. Just kill him off already!

    ReplyDelete
  73. Lisa and Ben Braeden-Supernatural-I just don't give a damn!

Castiel-SPN-I'll change my mind if and when he becomes useful again and stops being the butt of the writers ridiculous jokes.

The Campbell cousins (Mark, Gwen, Christian)-SPN-um...storyline?

    Dawn-BTVS-WTF?!

Lana Lang-Smallville-if ever there was a character I wanted to bitch slap?!

    Conner-Angel-Conner come, I go!

    Tara-Buffy-boring!

Chloe Sullivan-Smallville-I like Chloe I really do it's just I feel like she's been holding the show back, I mean it's taken 10 years for Clark Kent to grow up and grow a pair, simply because Chloe was the smart one and the one with all the balls in the relationship. The more Chloe isn't around the more Clark has to learn to fend for himself and the less he looks like a complete doofus.

    ReplyDelete
  74. She reminds me of someone I know, and NOT in a good way.

    ReplyDelete
  75. personally I preferred both Kutner and Amber to Taub

    ReplyDelete
  76. I dint like season 4 and 5 as much , but you're right, the angels were needed in those seasonal arcs.

While I am not a fan of the angels, I think the writers need to make up their mins. Either keep the Christan mythology and keep the angels around or lose the angels and move on to a new big bad or plots. Right now it's just messy and almost used as comic relief.

I don't know why they added the cousins Winchester and grandpa Creepy either. It could have just been other hunters Sam fell in with and worked just as well with a few tweaks. Maybe they wanted to leave the door open for more family flashbacks? Or the whole, Mithc Pileggi as Grandpa Creepy does not bother me nearly as much as Corin Nemec as Christian bothered me. I guess that's because I like Mitch Pileggi as an actor. If he couldn't act, I wouldn't care enough to dislike the character. It's exactly BECAUSE of Pileggi's great performances that we all find the character so creepy.

  77. FauxLivia(Alternate Olivia Dunham) in FRINGE.
She's selfish, and she's a slut. And she's gonna mess up all the good Peter/Olivia
that's gonna happen this week. Somoeone needs to send her to her OWN alternate universe.

  78. Yeah but those are just very minor characters, Even though Nikki and Paulo were credited as "Main Characters".

  80. EVERYONE on gossip girl or cristina yang on greys anatomy the most unlikeable characters in the history of tv absolutely ZERO redeeming qualities they all might as well be villains because you want characters like that to die and you never root for them to succeed.

And enough kate hate! just because some of her episodes werent that great doesnt mean she sucked. If youre gonna use that logic then every character show sucked.

  82. Lois is the best thing about Smallville. best actress and funniest, most intersting character on the show by a mile

  83. Kate from LOST. Weak sauce to the maximum.

  84. Totally agree. That's one reason I like Smallville. 10 seasons into it, and Clark is still learning. Cool that he is finally becoming who he is destined to be. The Cape isn't as bad as Heroes, but Vince learned to use the cape a little faster than I thought he should. One of the things that bugged me the most about Heroes was the way they would suddenly drop entire storylines and characters seemingly at random, like Micah for example. Heroes never seemed to make logical choices either. Why didn't the Haitian ever help take down Sylar?

  85. I can't believe I forgot about that line already. Classic Lost quote! Maybe I don't think the show would have been better without him, I just wish they didn't kill off Alex that way. That shit was harsh.

  86. I enjoyed Kate in the first few seasons, but I don't think she was into it after that. By the end, I barely noticed her. She wasn't the least bit interested in any of the show's mythology, and maybe it just wasn't her thing, but she stopped being interesting anymore. Kinda sad, because I used to like her more.
