Question of the Day - If you could transplant a character from a cancelled show to one still running, who would it be?

Welcome to the final Question of the Day for this week. Today's question comes from Smidnite who asks.

"If you could transplant a character from a canceled show to one still running, who would it be. For me Dr. Nigel Townsend the quirky Brit forensic scientist of Crossing Jordan would make a good fit for Rizzoli & Ailes or Bones. "

A good fun question to end the week on.

There are a few that spring to mind :)

Ben Linus from Lost on Fringe would be a good addition, maybe an episode where they visit the Island :) (I know I know, I'm still missing Lost a lot!)

How about Fox Mulder from the X-Files on an Episode of Supernatural?

But I think my favourite would be FBI Special Agent Dale Cooper from Twin Peeks on an episode of Fringe. He's one of my favourite TV Characters, so seeing him again on any show would actually be cool.

So what about you? Which characters would you like to see on some of today's shows. Get creative and sound off in the comments.

Hope you all have great weekends and see you Monday!

  1. Buffy summers on the vampire diaries! It'd be awesome

  2. Ray Wise could return as the devil from Reaper for an episode of Supernatural, like he switched vessels or something :P

  3. Verionica Mars on Supernatural. Especially with Season 6 being a bit more noir they could use her private detective work. Also I was HUGELY disappointed when I heard Kristen Bell was (apparently) offered the role of Ruby 1.0 and she declined for Heroes. =(

  4. I would love to see Terry O'Quinn or Michael Emerson on Fringe. They would fit right in!

  5. Juliet from Lost into any show
Ben or Locke from Lost into Fringe
Randy or Joy from My Name is Earl into Community

  9. Kate has returned from the island and had Jack's baby. Someone threatens to kidnap the baby and Castle and Beckett are called in to solve the crime. Kate and Castle develop feelings for each other and Beckett is not happy.

  14. Bring Cop Sawyer from Lost to Criminal Minds as a new profiler! I can imagine several hundred nicknames he'd come up with for Reid alone!

  15. Can it be a cartoon character? How about Eric Cartman on Gossip Girl to show them what a real scheme is?!

Summer Roberts onto Parks and Recreation seeing as she was environmentalist.

Avon Barksdale or Marlo on Breaking Bad or any of the characters from the Wire in fact.

Would be funny to see Chandler Bing or his boss in either How I Met Your Mother or Rules of Engagement in GNB or wherever Adam, Timmy and Russell work.

Or Joey competing with Barney or Russell for a girl in either of the two.

Or Ross at some kind of big Science convention bumping into Sheldon.

  16. Gabriel "Sylar" Grey from "Heroes" on "Smallville" :D

  18. Simon from Flashforward in Fringe. Really, he was the one interesting character on the show, and he would fill the role of semi-untrustworthy-and-shady-good-guy that Nina Sharp used to be in season 1, and plus he's DOMINIC FREAKIN' MONAGHAN.

  19. Ella Sims from Melrose Place on 90210

  20. I would LOVE to see Alan Shore on Harry's Law. Same showrunner and both law-based dramadies...so he would fit right in.

  22. But Angel is on the good side, isn't he?

    ReplyDelete
  23. If it was a short run of episodes or a single episode the Winchesters would be safe, but Angelus eventually always raises his head and does not play nice.

  24. Oh, I looooove Special Agent Dale Cooper! I agree 100 % - it would be awesome to see him on Fringe.

  25. Lorelai Gilmore (Gilmore Girls) on 30 Rock or Brothers and Sisters or NCIS

Dana Scully (X-Files) on Fringe (perhaps we can finally convince her^^) or on Grey's Anatomy

Isabel Evans (Roswell) on Fringe or Supernatural or something like that

Abby (Emergency Room) on Grey's Anatomy or Private Practice

  26. I always thought Katie Cassidy's character of Ella would have been a great add to One Tree Hill as a publicist for a model or something when Brooke still had her clothing line, or maybe even Alex's publicist. She also could have been Adrianna's publicist on 90210 considering she would be in LA it would make sense.
