I know right? Whoever came up with the multi-month long hiatus for a series should be fired as a TV executive and hired as a torturer. Not only is it cruel and inhumane, but it's just dumb in theory and my interest level is RARELY ever as high after 2 months or more off!
I hope Mr Sunshine is good otherwise it could be a long time before we see Matthew Perry on the small screen again. After all, Mr Sunshine is his creation, he's also the lead actor, he'll be executive producer too and I'm sure he'll even direct some episodes.
Seriously though, how can it not be a success? It's got a terrific cast and Matthew Perry as the lead guarantees at least 10 million for the pilot and a regular core of 7 to 8 million if the show is average. As long as Mr Sunshine skews positively in the 18-49 demographic, it'll be back next year.
After all, as much as I love Cougar Town it doesn't get a lot of viewers compared to the other ABC comedies but it skews highly for 18-49, which is the real reason it'll "be back next year" (to quote Busy Phillips' Twitter from earlier today).
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Loved it, but hate that this is our last episode for two months.
ReplyDeleteILU Matthew Perry, but Mr. Sunshine better be good. Or get cancelled quickly.
