Cancelled Shows Reviews
The season finale of Human Target has come and gone; check out the events of (and my thoughts on) "Marshall Pucci" here. If you're looking for tidbits and trivia, sneak a peek at the season-ending volume of The Human Target File.

In regard to the romance portion of the show, I don't really agree with you. Considering what those two have been through together since they met, their constantly clashing ideals, not to mention the fact that they are both lonely and single, the two of them getting to this point is a state of natural progression.
ReplyDeleteSomething similar happened with Katherine. She was a nice, headstrong woman who was swept up into Chance's world, and he got attached to that good in her because in his line of work, he doesn't see a lot of it.
It's not that much different from his growing attachment to Ilsa, the main difference being that Ilsa actually survived. Ilsa is also a kind, headstrong woman who reminds him there is a better kind of life out there that he can't live because of who he is.
As for Ilsa's attachment to him, despite his past, Chance is a guy who kicks a lot of ass, jumps in front of bullets for complete strangers, constantly makes her think in shades of gray rather than black and white, and he has saved her life on a number of occasions. A lot of women like guys like that because they're not as common as they should be.
They both want the other to act in a certain way, but they never do. It would be REALLY strange if those two weren't attracted to each other. I like a good action show just as much as the next guy, but this show does have a bad habit of disregarding the human element and natural character progression through cause and effect.
Considering what they have been through together, and adding in other things such as their personalities and histories, where they ended up is perfectly logical.
