Hawaii Five-0 - Episode 1.18 - Loa Aloha - Advance Review

Are you excited about tomorrow episode of Hawaii Five-0? If not, you should be, because it is totally awesome! SpoilerTV was able to put their hands on a copy of the episode, and I'm here to let you guys know what to expect of it without ruining the surprises (there are many!), of course.

The title of this episode, "Loa Aloha" is Hawaiian for "The Long Goodbye", according to TV.com. The plot is kind of simple: a bomber is targetting the families of law enforcement men and the Five-0 team must find the bomber before he kills somebody else. In the meanwhile, Danny's not-so-little bro, Matt (played by the handsome Dane Cook) is in town for a visit. As nothing is what is seems, the bomber has an ulterior motive for his attacks and so does Matt with his visit.
One of the guests even looked like Mr. Myiagi from the original Karate Kid. I'm pretty sure it wasn't Pat Morita, because I just found out he is deceased for almost 6 years now. Thank you, Wikipedia, you just ruined my day. I'll have to have a MASH marathon to get over that.

The girl who plays Grace, Teilor Grubbs, is the cutest kid ever. The only weird thing is, when her uncle shows her a table full of gifts for her, she doesn't even try to find out what's inside of the boxes, she just plays around with the ones that are not packed during the whole freaking scene. What kind of normal kid does that? LOL But she's still very cute.
I found the Danno plot more interesting than the bomber one, and so did the writers, because they chose to give the final seven minutes of the episode to sort of wrap this plot, and not to the case. By experience, we know that the important things are left for last...
There was a lot of brotherly love between Steve and Danny, even through the phone and especially during a dinner scene, with Matt, Gracie and, wait for iiiit... Rachel. Yes, she was there, and definately not arguing with "Dah-neel" for once. That was one of my favorite scenes in the episode, actually, if not the favorite.
The other best thing is that, as great as this episode was, the writers were able to save some awesomeness for later episodes. As anyone who's watching H50 since the pilot can attest, TPTB seem to be planning something really huge for the final episodes of this season, if we consider the amount of unclosed arcs remaining. If I were you, I'd stay tuned to know what's gonna happen. I'm pretty sure it will be worth it.
