my guess is that this is the third universe Olivia from season 2

ReplyDeletein the episode with the twins who made fire with their mind and combusted. Olivia crossed over and found out they were twins and talked to that universes broyles. as she did this week in subject 13 when she met walternate.

ReplyDeleteThe twins were Season One and they were from the Alternate Universe we've seen loads of already with Walternate. The same in this weeks episode, when she crossed over and told Walternate about the fact our Walter stole Peter. So we still haven't seen any third worlds :)
ReplyDeleteyes, i realize that it was season 1, my mistake. I couldnt' remember what season. But...if it was this universe why was it still the FBI and not the Fringe Division, as it would be at that time? Why was broyles similar to ours and not in milatary garb? There was no lincoln, no one noticed that she was a blonde not red head and Charlie seemed different then scarlie. The office was brighter and arranged the same as ours and the whole room in general was different then the Fringe divisions in the red verse. This is why i conclude that it is the thrid univers (possib. yellowverse) where the oliva is blonde,the fbi still exists, and broyles is still simiar to ours as is the fbi floor and set up.
ReplyDeletethe similarity to this weeks episode is that she was telling broyles about the case, not realizing it wasn't the broyles she was intending to talk to like this weeks walter/walternate. The other walked in on her in both situations
ReplyDeleteWell... the producers have said that we're gonna see the third universe. So...
ReplyDeleteI think that at that point writers didn`t have the other universe figured out with all the details. I think they did it all when they wrote the season 2 finale.
ReplyDeleteBut they are saying now how they put little easter eggs thoughout the seasons that they will be drawing out through season 5. So if they thought ahead far enough to do that, how is it that they messed this up. My conclusion: its not a mess up its a third universe. Which they already stated is something they are planning on touching on, in a previous interview.
ReplyDeleteBut in one interview with Pinkner in the early season 2 they asked him if there is gonna be another reality soon on fringe and he said that they don`t wanna bite something they can`t chew.
ReplyDeleteI think by those seeds he was refering to the pattern cases `cause Loeb told Olivia that Jones was only part of the army
now in a season 3 interview they said that it is a path they are willing to explore now, its somewhere on this site, the interview check it out its with Pinkner and Wyman
ReplyDeleteI know what they said. But I still think they didn`t figure out the other universe with all the details in season one. They had the story line figured out but not those details. They just needed to show us that there is a alternate reality...that was the meaning of that episode. And when that story line was even stronger in season two they said to each other: why don`t we make the alernate reality more interesting by making it more technologicaly advanced but in the same time make it literaly destroyed by Walter`s crossing over

ReplyDeletewe need more clues. Another persona, not an alternate self. So, its our Olivia but different. I don't know!
ReplyDeleteJP also said that there will be no third Olivia. and Torv will play "Something entirely different". Joshua Jackson said in an interview that there will be another genre-episode, so my guess Anna will play someone else in that episode like she did in Brown Betty.
ReplyDeleteI was under the impression that what Olivia saw in "The Road Not Taken" was an alternate reality and not an alternate universe. There are an infinite number of realities but from everything we know about the machine and the First People there are a finite number of AUs.

ReplyDeleteMy guess here....and its an out there guess....fed by all the tweets and spoilers we have had from Jeff Pinkner and Joel Wyman. Olivia's new persona.......is William Bell. I know its out there.....but this Fringe!
ReplyDeleteJasika even said that William Bell comes back in a totally unexpected way...totally unexpected way. Jeff Pinkner has said that something comes between Peter and Olivia for a little while. That thing could be......Olivias new persona......she could be channeling Wwilliam Bell.
Hope that new persona speaks with an Australian accent lol

1. Going back to Newton's taunting and exposed rivalry of Shapeshifter verses Human in "Do Shapeshifters Dream of Electric Sheep?", Alternate Olivia has the baby, but one way or another is shortly after killed and replaced by a Shapeshifter....
2. One of the Olivias, most likely the blue, will speak for another being that converges inside her, like a clairvoyant! (hmm the return of William Bell?) I smell "The Exorcist"

ReplyDeleteAs odd as it is to say this, I think that is a plausable situation. Although, I think it would be awkward and wierd to do a channeling thing and easier for the characters if it was another person instead, and would save the questioning of Olive's sanity.
ReplyDeleteOlivia would be able to do it. She had that connection to Nick Lane......and im sure no one will forget the scenes that Anna had to do then. I would be mind blowing to see this happen....but im not too sure how the writers would deal with this.

ReplyDelete#2 is what I came up with as well - in the preview to "Os", Walter expects Bell to speak through Nina, but what if he succeeds in doing so through Olivia? I'd love to see Anna Torv do a Nimoy-impression. *g*

ReplyDeletemaybe something more simple. our olivia just hooked up with peter...how about "Happy" - she hasnt really been this ever/much for a period of time ... then bamm finds out other olivia is preggo and that persona goes away....

ReplyDeleteI rewatched the preview for March 11 :-( don't wanna wait that long. And this idea of Bell being the other persona is becoming more and more clear. We saw in season 2 what ringing the bell did to Olivia in that one episode where it knocked her clear out and sent her seizing to the memory of when she had crossed over, another ring of the Bell bell could in the range fringe understandably send her into a bell trance. Crazy but shall be interesting.
I think the third universe could be the observers' one and Olivia could be an observer lol
ReplyDeleteI was re-reading the 'Jacksonville' transcript today. In it Walter says he and Bell theorized that "acute feelings of fear and love or anger would heighten the awareness" of another universe.
ReplyDeleteMaybe our Liv will have a fear and anger overload when she finds out Peter kept lies from her, and see the Yellow word.
You know the scene where she goes into the the club...as Nick Lane...and she kisses the stripper. Anna has done scenes as someone else....as Nick...as Alt-liv......so she could possibly be William Bell as well.

ReplyDeleteI knew he was coming back.........thats why i said that maybe Olivia could channel William Bell. No one has said that we will see William face to face (yet) ....it could be his voice we hear...via Olivia. Or maybe he is channeled through Olivia first and then Walter is able to bring his physical body back. My theory still still holds weight....it may not be correct...but its still feasible
