Hey Fringe Fans,

Some polls about the show as we approach the end of season three. Feel free to discuss or write another question you want me to add to the post!

Another Poll Added:

  1. As for the "Over ..." poll - I like both episodes. I enjoyed Over There episodes much more when Olivia was over there.

Second Poll - Olivia hands down.

Third Poll - Peter better choose Olivia.

Fourth Poll - I have no idea. I would say he might be one of the First People but that's just a wild guess

  2. First Poll - Both! I love the Alt!team, Lincoln is so funny and i miss Charlie over here
Second Poll - Olivia but i wish i could vote both
Third Poll - Olivia, no contest!
Fourth Poll - One of the first people! But i'm not sure at all, he's the most mysterious guy in the show

  4. They're in now. I don't know why they had disappeared from the poll, They were there when I created it :P

  5. 1) Over There episodes definitely. Very enlightening.
    2) No offense to Olivia. I prefer watching Fauxlivia's journey at the moment.
    3) Peter chooses neither. Never thought about that option before.
    4) Sam Weiss - He's as old as the First People. Still don't know who he is affiliated with.
    5) After all that, Immortality. for going above and beyond my expectations.

  6. DON'T TRUST SAM WEISS.
I know not why, but that's what the blackboard says. O.o

  7. First poll: Both. The shift back and forth between universes is fun to watch.
Second poll: I chose Olivia, but then I know her better. Fauxlivia is becoming very interesting.
Third poll: Neither. Just like Kate.
Fourth poll: I took a wild guess that he's not real and can only be seen by those he's treating.
Firth poll: I voted for The Abducted, but I also liked 6B very much, and The Box.

  8. 1/ I like Over There episodes, because of Walternate who is awesome, all the subtle differences we can sometimes notice and also because it's so nice to have Kirk Acevedo on the show again, he rocks. Obviously, I like Over Here episodes too, otherwise I would not be here talking about the show, I would have stopped watching for a long time.

2/ Olivia, obvious poll. I bet they'll keep Fauxlivia's baby is she delivers, though (I don't think Fauxlivia will live past this season). I'm imagining that Olivia will kill Fauxlivia because she'll have to, but that would make Fauxlivia's baby an orphan and that's something Olivia could not live with, so they'd bring her back to our world... hum, I'm drifting (but I would really love that). Anyway it would be pretty funny if Peter ultimately choose neither of them and takes off with Gene.

3/ Right now, Fauxlivia is more interesting than Olivia, actually, because of her relationship with Peter and the fact that she is pregnant. I hope that in episode 3.15 will start with Peter having a dream of a threesome with Olivia and Fauxlivia. Wouldn't that be just the most awesome thing ever to do? I'm sure the writers have thought about it, just for a fun intro, nothing more.

4/ I guess I'm not the only one who wants Sam Weiss to be one of the first people. I stick with the fact that this season three finale will see the fall of the other universe, and then afterwards the mythology will focus on the First People (and hopefully Sam Weiss), it doesn't need to be related to the other universe to go on. And they've already started to spill some seeds to this possible direction for the mythology, and I'm sure Sam Weiss is a big part of it.

5/ It might be because I just watched it, but I really, really loved 6B. Phylis Sommerville (Alice Merchant) was fantastic (she also played (wonderfully) Marlene on The Big C). The story of last week was particularly well written and well thought. In the end it's not about science, it's about our feeling and knowing when you must let go (I don't remember where I heard that too). That was a really, really strong character of the week, so it was kind of like The Tulip last year with Peter Weller's character in that sense. Both had great background development, and both actors are astonishing.

  10. i gotta say the Q about which "over... " I like .. I def. like "over there" better .. 'coz watching another modified version of our world is so much more interesting .. OUR WORLD IS BORING xD

  11. **I enjoy the 'Over There' energy as a break from 'Over Here' but not as a complete substitute.
**I love to hate Fauxlivia and I love to love the dorkable Olivia.
**Fauxlivia will probably die so Peter chooses his child and Olivia accepts the baby as her own.
**Sam Weiss is a 1st person. daddy of the Observers
**Marionette was beautifully written and directed. I could watch it again and again.
**Notable Mention: Frank, a character that made more if an impact than he was probably supposed to. Bring him back!!!!!!!!

  12. The only impact frank made was that he showed his chest. I'm not being funny either.

  13. #1 I prefer Over Here because this is the world I came to love first, and for now, they have Peter. ;) However, I do like Over There. The differences are fun. The people seem generally happy or at least accepting in spite of their decaying world. I guess people decided being angry does nothing if you could be sucked into a vortex any time.

#2 Olivia all the way. Her character is one of the first things that hooked me about Fringe. Her tenacity, smarts, heart, courage. Finally, an introverted and real-looking female heroine.

Faux reminds me of everything I despise in women. Fake attitude. Fake smile. Cocky, arrogant. Thought she could get away with stepping in and ruining the live's of other people with no repercussions... Ha, I love Karma!

#3 Peter may not choose either. I have a feeling this show is going to kill him... and bring him back. I hope not!!!! It would be a long summer waiting for S4, and a forever downer if Fringe does not get S4. Peter is my favorite character, and I care what happens to him.

I am biased. If he had to choose, he'd choose Olivia. IF he went for Faux, it would mainly be for the innocent child that is the result of her deceiving him. But I think he'd off himself before killing any universe, intentionally.

#4 I think Sam Weiss is an agent of someone we haven't met, or just met recently; ie: Reiko, Walternate's mistress.

#5 There has been so many good episodes, that every time I have a fave, another takes its place. I like 6955 kHz b/c "There's got to be another way." I really loved Entrada. I found Reciprocity awesome because I've been waiting to see frustrated and abused Peter revert to his past ways. But 6B is currently my favorite, because I felt the "White Tulip" vibe in it. I am a sucker for epic love stories, and science fiction, esp. Fringe, does it well. Peter's speech to Mrs. Merchant was one of the most beautiful of the series. I'm glad that Olivia took this as her sign (White Tulip) to forgive him. The scene of her leading him sweetly upstairs by the hand to "Pale Blue Eyes" had me hollering and cheering so loud my neighbors over the hill most likely could hear me ;)

I am so ready for "Subject 13." I want more of Peter's past and finally we get to see how he and Olivia have this connection the show has been hinting at since "Bad Dreams."

  14. I prefer Over Here episodes. I just aren't invested in the characters Over There :\
In the second one I chose Fauxlivia. I don't really like either, but I prefer Fauxlivia.
In the third one I chose neither. I can see Peter killing himself eventually. Sam Weiss wasn't necessarily right - we're not meant to trust him.
Fourth one - I voted that he's not real, but I really don't know. I like all of the theories.
Fifth - Reciprocity. Peter got to be badass and we had a nice shot of his ass when he climbed through the window xD The only highlights of a bad season xD

  15. Love the Over Here episodes best.....i am so invested in the original Fringe teams lives. They are part of my family. I watch EVERY episode of Fringe whether its Over Here or Over There as all the episodes have something of the over arcing storyline or mythology in them. Fringe episodes are unmissable. Love and adore Anna Torv..but absolutley loathe Alt-liv.....am not invested in her at all! And as for Sam Weiss.....well i dont trust him at all. Its typical Fringe style that he continues to me surrounded in mystery and we have no idea of his purpose or motives!

  16. 1. Both. I loved the changing back and forth to see how our world compares to theirs but I like the characters better over here.
    2. Olivia. No contest.
    3. He's either going to choose our Olivia or he'll choose neither. I just can't see him picking Fauxlivia even if they do have a baby together.
    4. One of the First People.
    5. It was a toss up between 6B and Entrada but ultimately 6B won. I loved that we all thought they were going to disperse the amber to fix the wormhole but instead they figured out that the cause behind it was this strong grief both partners were feeling for the other version of themselves on both sides and they could fix it if the woman just let her husband go. I also love what Peter said to Mrs. Merchant. Oh and obviously, I loved the ending with Olivia and Peter. Of course, I'm pretty sure if you had waited a week to ask this question my answer would have been Subject 13. That episode looks nothing short of epic.

  17. I actually enjoy Over There episodes a lot more now! It's really fascinating to explore that world. The only downside being that Walternate is no Walter, but Charlie and Lincoln almost make up for that.

Oh, but Olivia kicks Bolivia's a**.

I don't really care for the whole Peter romance storyline, but I genuinely believe that he will pick Bolivia.

As for Sam Weiss, the best answer there, I thought, was that he was one of "The First People", but I don't really have a theory. (Bad fangirl, I know).

  18. First poll: I like both universes: in the alternate universe, things and people are so different, I think that's really cool ! :p
Second poll : I really prefer Olivia, just because she's OUR Olivia lol even if the other Olivia is really funnier !
Third poll : Peter will choose Olivia :p
Fourth poll : to me, this man is one of the first people, because of the books ...
Last poll: I loved all the episodes of Fringe since the beginning of the show ... Hard choice but finally I think I prefer Entrada : how Olivia comes back and how Peter discovered the truth ... :D

  19. i like frank too, he was a pretty cool guy! honestly, i don't know how altlivia let him go...

    ReplyDelete
  20. i agree, i definitely prefer over here! it's the characters we've been loving all along! but i have to say i enjoy over there more since the olivias are where they are supposed to be. i hated over there when olivia was there and altlivia was here because i just wanted to have olivia back so our team was complete again. but now i actually enjoy the over there team. i like their dynamic and the relationship they have. however, to me over there is just a plot device to further explore and better understand our characters, walter, olivia and peter! and there's no room in this show (nor in peter's heart) for two olivias...... olivia frickin' dunham has to put a stop to this nonsense ;)
