Is this the first sign that we'll be getting a cancellation notice soon.

LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- NBC is benching its freshman drama "Chase," network sources have confirmed to the site exclusively.

"Minute to Win It," which posted series high numbers last night (9.52 million viewers and a 3.0 rating among adults 18-49 for the second episode of its two-hour stunt), will continue with back-to-back episodes at 8:00/7:00c and 9:00/8:00c on Wednesday nights for the foreseeable future.

"Chase" last aired on January 26, drawing a modest 4.17 million viewers and 1.2 rating among adults 18-49. Five episodes of the series have yet to air.

    NOOO, every time there is a good show out,a stupid game show or reality tv show takes over, they starts out good, and everyone gets bored by the first season... Chase is one of the only shows on NBC that is worth watching .. NBC has serious issues please do not cancel Chase it is a great show and has fantastic actor in it.

    After Heroes I am not even bothering devoting myself to any shows on NBC. It will save me the pain and frustration when they screw it up somehow and cancel it.

    Seriously, the tv channels always have to end up with something that is good, and let these series without grace in the air. Chase is very good, can not stop the show in the middle.

    Not a surprise, Chase ratings have been bad since the Pilot, what I don't understand is why they ordered 5 more episodes after the initial 13. I mean, good for the fans of course, but now they don't know when to air them. Business-wise was a bad decision.

    NBC has the best comedies out there, and they have Chuck, so they're cool. But seriously, when you take a look at their new series, it's sad to see how few are successful :


    Outlaw : cancelled.
    Undercovers : cancelled.
    Chase : almost cancelled.
    The Cape : almost cancelled.
    Perfect Couples : almost cancelled.

    The Event : will have a hard time after such a long hiatus, besides ratings went downhill before the break.
    Outsourced : is not doing well but much better than the other new sitcom (the unfunny Perfect Couples) though.

    LOLA : did great (is it because of all the changes that the show has not been broadcasted for the past 2 months?).
    Harry's Law : is doing trully great.

    That makes 2-3 quite successful new shows out of 9, not much. Well, there are only 2 great new shows among those 9 (The Event & Outsourced), so that's not helping. It gives more room for new pilots though, let's hope next season will be better for them (the Playboy drama seems awesome).

    This just shows you the lack of quality of the network, and the bizarre interests of the people at home. I am not a Chase fan, but I'd rather watch a drama rather than people balancing eggs on their elbows hoping to score 1,000 dollars.

    NBC used to be top-notch quality, but since Zucker came on, he ruined the network. The only two good things on NBC are Chuck and Law and Order: SVU.

    I liked the premise of Chase and almost enjoyed the first few episodes. I could see people watching it and liking it even if it is predictable. Terrible year for new series all around, but NBC is the worst. Even Outsourced and The Event may have already been cancelled on a network with strong programming. Harry's Law I think would be a solid performer on any network. Their best new show of the season by far.

    If you like David E Kelley, you might like Harry's Law. Otherwise I agree Chuck is only show I watch regularly on NBC, I cannot get into ANY of their comedies despite multiple attempts (I have not tried Parks and Recreations yet). SVU is usually good when I catch it. Any coincidence that nothing but crap's initials are NBC?
