  2. That's BBC for ya. They take even longer than Sci-Fi to air new seasons.

  3. Ain't that the truth!! Worse yet is some of their "seasons" or series are like 3 episodes only!

  4. They take twice as long to air new seasons and they are usually twice as short. If I didn't like Doctor Who so much I would have given up on them a very long time ago.

  5. Update..

Looks like that July 1st air date is back to wait and see again, Going by this..

( An earlier version of this article cited a launch date for The New World - this has been reported by BBC Marketing as incorrect. )

  6. Yep, the date has now been withdrawn :(

I know they want to have all the filming in the can before they start showing it, which seems odd.

  7. I prefer the shorter series, and it seems a lot of American channels have followed suit in recent years., Showtime and Syfy in particular. I'd rather have the quality of a shorter run than have a bunch of filler episodes.

  8. The BBC is not an american channel and so they don't have that much money. You have to keep in mind buying American TV shows is a lot cheaper than making your own shows.
