Supernatural - Weekly Poll - Favorite Episode (Season Two)

Weekly Poll - Favorite Episode (Season Two)

Season One voting is well on its way. If you haven't voted for season one yet, go here. Today is season two voting and the easiest for me. After all, my favorite episode is in this season. But before we start, more useless stats for those who were wondering. By the way, stats are counted only for those nominations posted before the first poll went up and only the first 12 episodes listed per person were used.

Season 1 and season 3 had 6 episodes each with only 1 nomination, while season 2 and season 4 had the least. Only 3 one-nomination episodes for each of them. However, season 3 leads the way with 4 episodes receiving 15+ nominations. Season 2 and season 5 each had 2, while season 1 and 4 had no episodes nominated at least 15 times. Only 3 episodes were nominated at least 20 times - A Very Supernatural Christmas, Mystery Spot, and Changing Channels - good choices all around. Yet, when you average the number of votes by the number of episodes nominated, season 5 is the winner with 7.4, followed closely by season 3 with 7.1 and season 2 with 7. What does this all mean? Not a darn thing that I can see. So...

Onto the season 2 vote. Voice your choice in the comments because commenting...that right there is the reason why they always get the extra (psychological) cookie. Oh and if you haven't filled out the Tv Overload survey, go here.

  1. Why it's hard to choose in the season 2 poll? - Part 1

    1. In My Time of Dying - First, it was the official end to the worst hiatus known to man - Hellatus 2006. Second, it had reapers chasing a dying Dean, but this time the reaper had a human face and personality. Yeah Tessa! It had Astral Projection Dean and Full-Bodied Sam confronting John - about time. Plus, there were great lines like "I full on Swayzed that mother." and "You see me messing around with crystals or listening to Yanni?" But by far the best thing about this episode happened at 10:41 - the coffee cup danced, John died, and I screamed with joy so loud the people in my house came running. Well worth the wait.

    3. Bloodlust - I don't know what it is about third episodes, but most of them are in my favorites. Two words sum this episode up - Gordon Walker. I love his black and white, psychotic viewpoint and he was a perfect foil for the brothers. A definite win here. Oh, a who can forget the shiny, newly restored Metallicar. Awesome!

    5. Simon Said introduced us to Andy Gallagher, another stand-out PiP. I loved the van and Jedi mind tricks, but mostly I liked that Andy was a genuinely good guy stuck in a lousy situation. He made the "special kids" not suck so hard.

    8. Crossroad Blues is not nominated but it was the highest episode on my top 50 list that didn't get a mention, so here's a nod to you hell hounds and increasingly important part of the mytharc.

    9. Croatoan - In all honesty, this episode got much better after the winter hiatus. How annoying to leave us hanging for almost 2 months to find out what John whispered to Dean. This had a super strong brother relationship. I'm not sure which part I loved most - Sam determined to stay there alone or Dean determined to stick by Sam no matter what. It foreshadowed All Hell Breaks Loose well. Plus, there's Sarge and his neighbor Mr. Rogers. Bwah!

    10. Hunted or as I like to call it - Gordon Goes Nuttier. It has Gordon so that's a plus. Sam neatly had him imprisoned. It also introduced Ava which is a toss-up for me. Didn't like the split. Hated emo overload.

    12. Nightshifter rocks my world. How do you top mandriods? I love Ronald Reznick, I love okie dokie, and I absolutely adore how they incorporated Renegade at the end of the episode. It was perfect. Not to mention, it raised the stakes by having an FBUI agent on their tail, the sublime Victor Henriksen. Tell how is it fair to introduce such phenomenal characters, let me get attached to them, and then kill them off far too soon. Criminal I tell you!

    15. Tall Tales - The introduction of the best villain of them all - the Trickster. I liked him better this way than Gabriel; he gave us slow-dancing aliens and revitalized the schmoopy Lady in Red. The whole episode screamed BWAH!!!

    18. Hollywood Babylon - loved you too even though you weren't nominated

    21. All Hell Breaks Loose - Part 1 - Um, you had the fantastic hacker from Leverage kill Sam after I sat through the "special kids". Basically filler to get us to the finale.

    22. All Hell Breaks Loose - Part2 - Thoroughly enjoyable episode. It has angst, brotherly love, brother conflict, lots of action, and best of all, showed that Supernatural was not afraid to take risks. I couldn't believe they actually killed Azazel this early in the show. I loved it. I knew then that the show would continue to engage me and wouldn't turn into the colossal mess other genre shows did where it was all questions and no answers. In other words, it validated my love for Supernatural.

  2. All Hell Breaks Loose - Part 2

  3. This was easier than Season 1 for me actually. The favorites from here are In My Time of Dying, Croatoan, Hunted, Born Under a Bad Sign, Tall Tales, Heart, and Folsom Prison Blues, All Hell Breaks Loose P2. But I narrowed it down to Croatoan, Born Under a Bad Sign, AHBL2. I don't know how but I did. Probably just a mental checklist according to how I'm feeling right now.

Born Under a Bad Sign was...chilling and amazing for me in ways that were similar to Croatoan. Both were Sam-centric in their own ways but because of that, they dealt with the whole YED situation as a whole. In Croatoan, we have that emotional as hell scene when Dean tells Sam he's just tired of it all and then it turns out Sam's immune to the virus and it's all part of the big plan. In BUaBS, we have Meg!Sam, and Jared played her (him?it?Meg?) so freaking well. We have Bobby acting as a stronger force in the boys' lives at that point and we found out a bit more about the plan as well. And that punch at the end, it brought lulz at a mildly inappropriate time but it was just so...DEAN. AHBL2 was just...Dean's monologue made it for me. Bobby's reaction to Dean selling his soul; hell, just the face that HE KNEW Dean had sold his soul was amazing. And then, Sam at the end, he's such a smart bb that he knew Dean had done something. Dean telling Sam not to get mad about it? Oh Dean, your codependency showed so hard right then, but it was so RIGHT.

Still, this jut puts Croatoan in third for me, leaving BUaBS and AHBL2. I am way too huge a Dean!girl for this. Aw screw it, I'm a Winchester girl. I like seeing the boys go at each other. Born Under a Bad Sign for me peeps.

I feel horrible for not being more indecisive.

  4. Why it's hard to choose in the season 2 poll - Part 2

Oh who am I kidding? This is the easiest poll of them all by far for me. The all-time winner is...

    20. What Is and What Should Never Be - There is not a moment of this episode that I don't like. My own perfect episode. I loved the djinn first and foremost. Not only did the blue, tattooed guy look different from all the other monsters, but he had an unusual way of killing people. You could say he killed them with happiness. I'm not sure if that is a blessing or the ultimate curse.

I also loved this episode because it was unique. We never went into an alternate reality before, although the time travel ones could be close. To see Sam in law school and engaged to Jess, living the life he always wanted. To see Dean settled with a long-time girlfriend and enjoying the things that normal people hate, like mowing. That moment when he first connects with his mom and you can see all the heartache Mary's death dealt him pulls at my heartstrings even more than his reaction to Sam's death in AHBL2. The ending when Faux Sam and Mary are trying to convince him to stay in the dream because he is so much happier there. When we see how miserable the hunting life really is for him even if he's desperate to hide it and yet he sticks it out. Heck, I'm even okay with the emo-angst fest at John's grave because I'm always riding so high in the episode by the time that happens.

But I think for me what really slams it home is seeing in detail everything that Dean and Sam lost and were still losing because of the hunt. Yet at the same time to see the consequences of their not being there to save people if they were living normal lives. That sense of purpose even at the death of all your hopes and dreams make this episode so poignant to me that it is my all-time favorite episode. No other Supernatural episode comes close. It's tied for my favorite episode of all time and I can't get enough of it.

  5. Don't feel bad about a quick decision. I'm there too. Absolutely no painful decision-making or waffling for me on this one either. I didn't even have to narrow it down. WIaWSNB is my favorite bar none, which is a shame because I really, really liked a lot of the other ones. In My Time of Dying, BLOODLUST, Simon Said, NIGHTSHIFTER, and AHBL2 would have all had a chance if WIaWSNB were in another season.

  6. Oh why do I keep doing this to myself........?

    ReplyDelete
  7. Alrighty then..... here goes....

In My Time of Dying....because: Spirit!Dean (to John): I've done everything you've ever asked me. Everything. I have given everything I've ever had. And you're just going to sit there and you're going to watch me die? I mean, what the hell kind of father are you?
Plus everything Dahne said (sorry Dahne - it saves me having to think up what to say in my words when you said it so much better)

Nightshifter.... because: .....oh good grief.....everything you said Dahne (again)

Tall Tales...because: I love Trickster/Gabe (even though we didn't know he was Gabe back then) and Bobby being so exasperated with the boys.....

What Is and What Should Never Be....because: insert what Dahne said here.....this episode breaks my heart every time I see it, and yet it's just so freakin' amazing when Dean decides to live....

All Hell Breaks Loose part 2....(although I did love Dean's monologue over Sam's body in part one, that was the best part of that episode) because: they got to kill the YED....so many shows just keep on replaying the same old scenario where the heroes track down the bad guy, and the bad guy slips through their fingers again and again, and again.....but not Supernatural...they wasted that sucker! A truly satisfying moment...

Plus all those other beautiful, beautiful episodes that I love so much......Blood Lust, Hollywood Babylon, Hunted......
    But....
I'll be choosing out of those 5........eventually.......

  8. I chose for In my Time of Dying. It's my alltime favourite and by chance, it was also the first episode I've ever seen of Supernatural. First time I saw it, it was in French on the internet (I read about it somewhere and I couldn't find the English version, I guess). At that moment, I didn't really understand much French, but I liked the episode nevertheless. I think I just really liked the acting and emotions in that episode.

There wasn't much in the episode I didn't like (I can't come up with something right now), and it had my favourite line in the whole show:

"You can't go, man, not now. We were just starting to be brothers again."

It was the start of a great season 2 (it's also my favourite season)

  9. Why is this soo.. I can't.. just kill me!! Gaah! Can't choose. Impossible!

    ReplyDelete
  10. Hollywood Babylon is awesome! Who doesn't need a little jazz? ;D

    ReplyDelete
  11. For me it's 'All Breaks Loose Part Two'. I could argue that 'In my time of dying' or 'Born under a bad sign' are the better episodes or that 'All Hell Breaks Loose Part Two' Special effects look bad but it's the first 'Supernatural' episode I've ever watched and the reason why I'm Supernatural fan. :D

    ReplyDelete
  12. Good question. Maybe because Supernatural is on evil hiatus and you need a reason to distract yourself from counting the days til the show comes back. ;D

    ReplyDelete
  13. Your first episode is always special. After all, it's the reason why you're here isn't it? ;D

    ReplyDelete
  14. all very good choices and reasons
they are the same 5 i'm torn between here and i can't decide where to go!!

    ReplyDelete
  15. don't really have anything to add to that except, well said :D

    ReplyDelete
  16. loving all these little descriptions even though my choice is pretty much already down to 2 (WIAWSNB and IMTOD), it reopens my mind to some of the others.
i would say that tall tales is the trickster (one of my fave ever characters) at his best, but then i remember mystery spot. i also prefered him before the gabriel revelation.
i like how you added in hollywood babylon, i liked that one too, and left out WIAWSNB.
guess thats coming up next :D

  17. Despite the fact that 'Heart' made it into my top 12 and 'All Hell Breaks Loose Part 2' didn't, I went with the latter. Much as I adored Madison, I don't think I've ever seen anything quite as heartbreaking as Dean crying over his brother's corpse. Plus, his decision to raise Sam from the dead kicked off the whole angels/demons mytharc that kept us so enthralled for the next three season. Plus, we got to see the YED kick it in style, so, yeah. AHBL part 2 for me. If I had more choices, I would have put 'Heart', probably followed by 'WIAWSNB' followed by 'In My Time of Dying'.

  18. I am going to have to edit my comment above to incorporate some of your points about AHBL2. Plus, I can't believe I forgot about 'Nightshifter'! One of my all time favourite eps, I love that final scene to 'Renegade', one of the best montages they've ever done (with the exception of that one in 'Swan Song'). Reading your episode descriptions is amazing, I really feel like I have to go and rewatch season 2 now!

  19. What episode did it tie with for all time favourite?

    ReplyDelete
  20. Loved all of them!

  21. I voted for AHBL 2. There is many reasons why I chose this epi. 1) It had everyone in it. Dean, Sam, Bobby, Ellen, John, YED. It was the cumulation of what Sam and Dean had been working towards...killing the thing that killed their mother. First off we had a great performace by Jense in the beginning grieving over his brother and his interaction with Bobby (great job writers). Second, the heartbreaking decision that Dean made to bring Sam back. He knows how he feels about his Dad's deal and to listen to the Crossroads Demon talk about the deal and what his Dad was going thru. Watching Dean choose Sam over his Dad. Ohhh such a heartbreaking scene. Third, Bobby ripping Dean a new one when he finds out what he did. Such a good job by Jim Beaver and Jensen. Fourth, catching up with Ellen and the hunt for the Devil's gate. I am a history buff....so hearing the history was just awesome and intriguing. Fifth, the opening of hells gate. Finally, the showdown with the YED. I mean honestly how could you not choose this epi. Papa Winchester crawled out of hell to save his boys. And to watch Dean finally get his revenge on the SOB that killed his mom. So freak'n awesome. As Dean told demon possessed Grandpa "You look into my eyes, b/c I am the one who kills you."

  22. I laugh in the face of indecision.

What is and What Should Never Be is my all-time favourite. It struck the perfect balance between emotion and angst. The scene where Dean visits John's grave was touching and heartbreaking. But my favourite scene of the episode was the "I'm sorry." when Dean stabs himself. The djinn was cool too, but for me the emotion just blew me away.

Another part I liked was that it wasn't too morbid. It had some humour too and had Dean mowing a lawn really badly. I love hearing "Are you drunk?"

That said, I wish I could vote for more than one. IMO The Usual Suspects is one of the most underated episodes.

    ReplyDelete
  23. What Is And What Should Never Be - Ohh poor Dean! Jensen's acting was amazing in that episode! You could see how hard it was for him to decide!

In My Time of Dying, was an excellent season premiere, no doubt about it, and it was my second choice!

    ReplyDelete
  24. Strangely, it wasn't. It was not until AHBL (1) was broadcasted on Dutch TV (when I saw it in English I could finally understand the storyline) that I got hooked. You guys in America had just finished season 4 by then (Dutch TV is really slow most of the time...). It was a shame that I had already seen 3 episodes (after I saw AHBL (1) I immediately watched part 2 as well) before I started watching the whole series from the first episode. Altough I knew a bit what was going to happen, I still enjoyed the first 2 season very much :).

    ReplyDelete
  25. It should be illegal to have to choose between all of this. I'm torn on Born Under a Bad Sign, Heart and All Hell Breaks Loose- Pt 2. @__@ I can't pick...I don't know. Maybe I've not had enough coffee yet *gets another cup*

    ReplyDelete
  26. I absolutely loved Dean's monologue at John's grave actually -hides-. When they talked about it and said that the crew guys were crying from watching Jensen do the take, I was just so...affected? I have no clue what it is but it got to me, both watching the scene the first time and then hearing the commentary. Dean's the tougher brother in that sense but when he really has to get his emotions out, he does it so well and it's effective. I guess I like angsty-Dean, if only because I kinda like both the boys acknowledging their chick-sides and Dean's emotional stunted most times =/. Or hiding it, Idunno my words this morning -.-

But you're completely right about the whole message of the alternate universe. It was the could've been. The ultimate could've been because this meant that Mary never died. It wasn't even if John hadn't picked up hunting, which is at least a plausible could've been especially since he kinda half did it with Adam and his mom occasionally. If Mary hadn't died, everyone would've been relatively happy. I say relatively because Dean was still missing something. They kept on asking him if he was drinking and it's like he's the town alcoholic or something despite how happy Dean is in the dream world. Maybe he picked it up after Faux John died, we'll never know, but when he hunts at least his alcoholic tendencies are explained by his work.

And how necessary they are for the lives of all those victims definitely struck cords. Completely agree with that sense of purpose. Dean never doubts hunting to the extent Sam did, because he sees it as saving people and Dean's always wanted to be Batman ;) Sure, in Croatoan he told Sam he was tired and he wanted a break but breaks aren't running away from the only thing you know, no matter how miserable it makes you. Winchesters have inbred savior complexes, this should be fact. Dean's makes him escape the only chance at happiness he would've had his entire life, as far as he knew.

And lol, the Djinn. One cool dude for sure. Killing people with happiness is a nice way to put it though. I like that -nods-

  27. THIS.

Misha needs to like, keep us alive on Twitter or something. Hellatus is only halfway through and we're all dying.

    ReplyDelete
  28. This was easy for a weird reason hahaah, As much as I'M in LOVE with a lot of episode here every time I watch What is and What should never be my heart breaks and I think it's the best episode ever. So no need to really think about this one for me.

Though HAVE to say that I LOVE in my time of dying. And tessa is the best, so happy she came back!

    ReplyDelete
  29. LOL when I read the first post I was a little sad you didnt even mention What is and What Should Never be lol. then i saw "part 1" OH! AND DADADA!!! :D

Agree with every thing you said this ep is just epic and beautifuly perfect haha

    ReplyDelete
  30. Well if your ever gonna go out supernaturally - dying happy is a good way to go!

    ReplyDelete
  31. okay these polls WERE NOT a good Idea, now I REALLY need to do a new marathon.... oh lord. Yep I feel it. HHAHAHA! I'll skip the not-awesome eps to go faster, so this means ... hum about 2 less eps to watch ahahah. OUPS

    ReplyDelete
  32. Well, I'm actually OK. I only wish we had more SPN spoilers but saving others shows to watch during hellatus helps me a lot. ;D

    ReplyDelete
  33. It's always interesting to read why most fans love WIAWSNB so much. Like 'Provenance' it doesn't play such a big role in my top ten lists. I like WIAWSHB but it's not an episode I rewatch very often. So reading you're love letter for it is quite intriqueing. Maybe it's because most genre shows do an alternate universe episode eventually but the thing I love most about WIAWSNB is Kripke's hilarious commentary and not the episode itself.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Maybe it's also important which episode you watch first, I can imagine 'Bugs' would be a real turn off. ;D

    ReplyDelete
  35. Well this was a hard decision between What Is and What Should Never Be and AHBL Part 2. But the season finale had 59 votes when I viewed the result, so my vote went for What Is and What Should Never Be. My vote was the 50th here:)

    ReplyDelete
  36. I just finished watching The Usual Suspects a few minutes ago. and you're right, it is under-rated.

Great that you can be so decisive......maybe I could learn from you....you could be my Yoda :)

    ReplyDelete
  37. What Is And What Should Never Be.

I love AHBL pt 2, Heart, and Born Under A Bad Sign too, but there are no words to describe what this episode means to me. <3

    ReplyDelete
  38. Wise, you are... :)

    ReplyDelete
  39. Well, Bugs had it's funny parts (Dean in the steam douche :P), but I have to agree, the overall storyline was a bit boring.

I think if I had seen the Pilot as first episode I would have immediately been hooked, than I would have understood the storyline a bit more. After I had seen the pilot for the first time, I watched S1 t/m 4 in two weeks.

    ReplyDelete
  40. This was way more tough for me, since season 2 is my favourite! I eventually went for BUABS, but if I could vote every day, I would vote for a different episode each day!!!

    ReplyDelete
  41. Funny, this one was really easy for me to choose. AHBL part 1.

Is it the best written story? Has it the most gory scenes? The most suspense?

Maybe none of the above. So why did I choose this one in a split of a second? Because of the dying scene at the end. I didn´t see that one coming and it rattled me. It was before we got used to people just coming back from the dead, like they´ve been on holiday....good old days :)
And Dean's monologue while holding Sam was great. I also "liked" that Sam just died! No pages of last words as seen so many times in other movies/series. It was quick, it was final and it left Dean reeling .... and me crying (but don´t tell anyone).

    ReplyDelete
  42. So I voted Devil's Trap....oh wait....that was the last poll....
Sorry, withdrawal is doing strange things to me.....

Ok I've narrowed it down to two.....oh wait....three...
    Nightshifter
What Is and What Should Never Be....and.....
All Hell Breaks Loose Part 2.....

Dahne? How long till this poll closes?
I'm gonna do this if it kills me....

    ReplyDelete
  43. Excellent choices! Those were my 1, 2, and 3. :-)

    ReplyDelete
  44. Please vote for What Is and What Should Never be. If the episode I voted for (IMToD) cannot win this, I think WIaWSNB is the most deserving one. And almost everybody loves it. And it's only 5 votes behind... pleeeease....

no, just kidding, take your time :)

    ReplyDelete
  45. Becoming - Part 2 of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. It's one of the few times in my life that TV made me cry and I love the isolation and fatalism of the whole episode. It's another episode I can watch 100+ times and it never gets old.

    ReplyDelete
  46. I have to confess, I was never a Buffy fan myself. Not because I didn't like the show, I just never watched it! I always mean to give it a try, but I never have the time. So much TV, so little time!

    ReplyDelete
  47. Not until the week of the new episode. You have a little time to prepare yourself. :-)

    ReplyDelete
  48. I admit I've never listened to the commentary. This episode is in a perfect little bubble for me. I'm afraid that back story and gags would diminish it for me instead of enhancing it. Commentaries are hit and miss for me.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Buffy was really good until it all went horribly wrong. The first few seasons were awesome with some rare moments of genius in it. Not much on TV reaches genius level even once, in my opinion. I understand why many people revere Joss Whedon, no matter what he touches. It's kind of like how Supernatural fans will probably try out anything else Kripke does, whether it's worth their time or not.

    ReplyDelete
  50. Yeah, I think between Buffy and Firefly, Joss Whedon has definitely made his sci-fi credentials. I'm not sure if I would watch something else Kripke made, it really would depend on what it was about. While I adore SPN (obviously! :D ), Kripke seemed very excited about some of the gorier aspects of the show, which I would not be into so much.

    ReplyDelete
  51. after alot of intense soul searching, i voted in my time of dying.
thats two season premiers in a row i've voted for.
second vote would have been for what is and what should never be.

    ReplyDelete
  52. i agree. vote WIAWSNB!!

    ReplyDelete
  53. thats why i nominated part 1 for this poll and not part 2. for that scene. brialliant stuff

    ReplyDelete
  54. Normal Again was season 6 Buffy. For the most part, I consider that whole mess a figment of my imagination. :-) It never happened.

    ReplyDelete
  55. My biggest regret for this show is that Route 666 was the most watched episode. What a wasted opportunity. Sometimes I wish Supernatural would move back to Tuesdays so the next time there's a State of the Union address, Supernatural can show an amazing episode and save face.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Concise is overrated. Rant away! :-P

    ReplyDelete
  57. It was a great death scene. To the point, raw, and like you said, without all the verbiage that sometimes makes dying seem like a speech. I was happy not being used to the dead returning on a frequent basis too. It's the reason why as much as I love Crowley and Gabriel, and I do love them, I've decided that I's rather they stay dead. Something has to be final on this show.

    ReplyDelete
  58. It closes 11:59 on Jan. 7th (Central USA time). Enjoy the inner debate. This will be for season three.

    ReplyDelete
  59. I'm torn between In My Time of Dying, Nightshifter, What Is and What Should Never Be and AHBL part 2.

I'm going to have to go with What Is and... for no particular reason that I can think of!

    ReplyDelete
  60. There is no preparation for this mental break down, if WiaWSNB doesnt make..... *cries* okay no seriously im not that crazy *CRIES*

    ReplyDelete
  61. LOL OMG I gotta say I watched (listened?) to Kripke commentary more then I watched the episode HAHHAHA! That man is hilarious, and I have to know if the guy really wore the make up a whole week. ANY WAY. Had to comment, I often feel like im the only freak that listens to commentaries, AND YOU ALL SHOULD GUYS its awesome. aw ... *dreams about misha doing one....*

    ReplyDelete
  62. IT was the most watched? how did that happen lol?! and we used to be un tuesday :( wow I know nothin'

and SotUA ARGH! My parents laugh at me cause im always cursing at the tv saying the president is cutting my Bones or Fringe LOL! I HATE THIS ahahaha any way

    ReplyDelete
  63. I LOVE COMMENTARIES! :D Kripke's commentary about WIAWSNB is still my favorite but I also love Carver's and Kripke's take on 'In the beginning' or Kripke and David Nutter making fun of the babies on 'The Pilot' commentary.
I was sooooo upset when they only did ONE commentary for season 5. I need at least two per season.

    ReplyDelete
  64. I don't like 'Normal again'. I completely forget about the episode until Kripke mentioned it in the commentary but as a whole Buffy season 6 was way better than season five's 'my sister is a key' storyline or 'the Initiative/college' thing of season 4.

    ReplyDelete
  65. OMG! You're so missing out. Kripke manages to be entertaining and funny on his own. Commentaries can be so boring, especially if only one person talks but Kripke starts talking and it never gets boring.

  66. Just proves that the quality of a single episode has nothing to do with the ratings. ;D

  67. After watching AHB II, I watched s1-s2 in a week. Didn't sleep much and skipped a few of the more boring season 1 episodes *cough* Hookman *cough* Wendigo*cough*. You don't really need to watch the 'Hunting things, saving people..' scene in Wendigo, it's all the time in the s1 intros. When I watched AHB II for the second time, I loved it even more because it was such a perfect ending for the YED storyline. I love the reversed roles of the last shot compared to the Pilot episode.

  68. I KNOW OMG! And NONE on the season 3 WTH???? I need 1 with Eric, Sera and BEN and then one with Jared Jensen and Misha. When I do marathon I watch once without and then one time with commentary ahahah! :DDD pwahhaa. its only 45 mins guys! I was in paradis when I got season 1 heroes, there is like 10 episodes with commentaries but its not as much fun as spn (or bones, dont know if you ave them but pwahahaha too LOL) I feel a little crazy that I know the commentaries as much as any other episode...

  69. Well, on the s3 dvds they were trying something different and did this little videos about certain scenes and not entire episode commentaries which was nice but I prefer the whole 42 min talking thing. ;D It depends if I know the episode already than I always watch the commentary first. I forgot the epic s2 commentary with Robert Singer, Sera and Kripke and I completely agree Lily's death should have been bloodier. Muhahaha! I was so angry that they didn't even choose a better episode for the s5 commentary. I wouldn't have been so disappointed if it would have been for Changing Channels or Swan Song. The End is a great episode but if there is only one commentary they should have picked a more important episode.

I know. I have no clue what Kripke and Nutter are seeing because for me all babies in the dark look the same. lol

  70. For me season 5 was the quick slope to the end. Dawn was the turning point from which I never recovered.

  71. All the other networks in the US were showing the president's speech and cable hadn't caught on quite the way it has now. It was the only choice for some people. Asylum, Scarecrow, and Faith all came right before Route 666. Just think of how many viewers we might have had if they were shown instead.

  72. I KNOW! haahha LOL Well I was SURE it would be on the end but at least do it with Jensen ahaha. AW Eric commentary on Swan song would have been HILARIOUS! this men is perfect hahaha.
LOL but I prefer the end then changing channels, though it would have been very funny heheh. I like the technicality of the end so that was intresting. I say we get 3 commentaries to make up for it! Premiere, finale and a great one in the middle lol.

AHAHA happy you agree about the baby. I think they are a little crazy hehehe. AW Now I wanna watch it :P I like the pilot better with comentarie :O *hides* lol

Edit: oh my bloody valentine with misha and J2!!! I just really want one with misha LOL!! omg. I'm sure if they knew how awesome they are they would do it hahaha

  73. Oh yeah ....thanks for reminding me we've still got 3 more seasons after this :P
At least the pain of this is distracting me from the pain of no new episodes...

  74. omg this kinda pisses me off in a weird way. And now I know that when I say "shut up you never even watched it" a lot of poeple can say they have hahaa. THAT DOESNT COUNT! any way... gosh Asylum is such a good ep to start! argh frustration!!

  75. Ok I want to vote for Nightshifter because:
    Ron
    Mandroids
    Shifter
    Victor Henriksen
Sam and Dean trying to save everyone
Sam and Dean in SWAT gear (ok so the fangirl's fighting to be let out again - you get back in there... bad fangirl)
    Renegade
    'We are so screwed'
    My heart breaks again

but I want to vote for WIAWSNB because:
    Djinn
    Dean gets the perfect life
    Sam gets the perfect life
(notice how even though it's Dean's fantasy he's still looking out for Sam by making sure he has a great life too)
They actually get to see that they do make a difference
    Dean chooses life
    My heart breaks again

So I'm down to two......getting there slowly (and very painfully)

  76. Pretty easy again. Although there are many eps in season 2 I absolutely love, What Is and What Should Never Be was, for me, the best and most heartbreaking ep of the season. Watching Dean at John's grave, knowing the life he wanted was not the life he could have... and knowing what we know now, his attempt at finding that life with Lisa and Ben only to have it ripped away again... I think Jensen's performance in this ep is one of the best ever given (and that's in a long, long list of amazing performances.) From his initial reaction to waking up and facing Carmen, to seeing Mary for the first time, to his absolute delight at finding Sam and Jessica together, to his heartbreak of finding out he and his brother weren't what he knew them to be... it was all so perfectly played. To this day, Carmen ranks as the #1 match for Dean as far as I'm concerned -- a hot nurse :) It's too bad she wasn't real.

  77. At the moment I'm just hoping for two on the season six dvds, everything else is a bonus. :D And I really really really want a Misha commentary. He can talk about any episode and it would be hilarious.

  78. It wasn't that bad for me, I stopped during season 4 but came back for season 6 and 7 which I really liked. Dawn is just so annoying! I rewatched almost all s4 and 5 episodes before s6 and s7 but nobody will ever get me to watch a certain season 5 episode called 'Buffy vs Dracula' *shudder*.

  79. Jensen's acting in All Hell Breaks Loose Part 2, is worth the crying. You do cry. I read that Kim Manners knew it was taking its toll on Jensen and he cleared the set except for himself, Jared, Jensen, and one lone cameraman. He apologized and kept telling Jensen, we can get more out of you. Wow. The episode is heartbreaking. It set up seasons 3,4, 5, and 6.

  80. Yeah definitly. It would be all lies but still funny ahhaah. I wonder if they decide if they do one are not. People should ask in convention ahhaa :DDD AW! and i feel like even if i watch it like 5 times i will still be missing some jokes, he is just to crazy hahaha

  81. Aaawww you had to say that after I just eliminated AHBL 2 from my list....
    Bad jensenfan1978 :P

  82. i'm gonna say go with WIAWSNB, because its so close to overthrowing the season finale and even though i didn't vote for it, i want it to win!!!
but nightshifter is a great option too
    have fun deciding :D

    ReplyDelete
  83. Fun? this is not fun.....
    This is torture....

  84. Ok so the season 3 poll is already up, so I've got to make a decision here.....

Sam and Dean wouldn't dither like this.......
They'd probably have a plan to sabotage the poll so they wouldn't have to make a choice....
and I can just hear Bobby calling me an idjit...'sack up jillyanne and make a damn choice...'
Yes ok Bobby I will (cause I hate when Bobby's mad at me)

    So.
My winner is: uuummmmm.......ok.....alright then it's ......oh I so want to say Nightshifter......but WIAWSNB
Ow that hurt....Dahne where's the 'undo' button on this stupid poll? I think I changed my mind.....
    Dahne?

  85. I'm currently watching Bloodlust...I forgot that during Gordon and Dean's Fight, there's some sound effects in the music from the game "Starcraft" lol
