Supernatural Polls - Ultimate One-Shot Antagonist/Monster
Again things are close with only 3 votes separating first and second in Ultimate Death and 5 in Ultimate One-Shot PiP. If you haven't done so, you can still vote in these. Links below. Today we have the Ultimate One-Shot Antagonist or Monster. Again, in keeping with my vow not to vote for one-shot monsters played by recurring actors - sorry Shapeshifter Dean and Meg-Possessed Sam, it's fairly easy to get down to 3 monsters. Very difficult to get down to one from there. Happy voting! Remember, comments are like getting loads of new SPN news even if you weren't at the con.
Shameless plug - If any of you watch White Collar, remember that the new episode premieres tonight on USA at 10/9 central. Along with Supernatural and Burn Notice, it has become must-see TV for me.

My short list is the Djinn, Dracula Shapeshifter, and Madge Carrigan. War was just slightly nudged off.

ReplyDeleteMeg-Possessed Sam. I do feel like it isn't really a 'One-Shot Monster', but when it IS an option, I just HAVE to vote for it! Jared was so AMAZING! I loved it!
ReplyDeleteI'm with you both... flipped a coin... no Jilly, it wasn't a three sided coin *rolls eyes*. Madge wins. Patrick was also very smooth, but I'm going with Madge. Christmas has never been the same since seeing A Very Supernatural Christmas. Fudge, indeed.

With the last episode featuring Meg.. I forgot how darn annoying she was in previous seasons... she just keeps coming back.. grrr..

I vote for more Pagan gods this season. I like when they turn up.
I chose MEG- POSSESSED SAM......She had me on the edge of my seat, and MHO- no other monster could get to Dean the way she did, cause she was wearing Sam...his brother :((
ReplyDeleteSpecial mention to WAR......cause YAY HORSEMAN....cool concept with car's instead of horses, and that guy's whole Demeanor...just swanning around, like ....yeah i'm cool...i can turn a whole town against each other.....next cities....countries....continents....yeah....ya get it.....then he gets his finger chopped off, and he's like....yeah whatever....i'm off.....COOL....and it def helped that it was TITUS WELLIVER and i was already overdosing on LOST :))

ReplyDeleteThere were so many great monsters, i was tempted to vote for, but in the end i ended up going Bloody Mary. She was the only monster that really scared me - i could only say "Bloody Mary" twice that night, although the second time i watched the episode i was nowhere near as scared, i think it may have something to do with the fact that i was like 14 years old when i first watched it. Still, Bloody Mary really left an impression.

ReplyDeleteSeveral of us have chosen not to vote for them and then ignore their standings in the poll. Unfortunately, they can't be taken completely out because the people have spoken. However, I have learned many valuable lessons from this experience. 1. SPN fans are a breed of their own. 2. Explicit rules should be give before anyone nominates. 3. Pawn this job off on someone else over the summer hiatus. :-P

For mee it was between the djinn, bloody Mary and war. All were great monsters
ReplyDeleteIn the end I had to go with bloody Mary. Such a classic case/legend. Mary left the biggest and most lasting impression on me out of all the monsters.
She was very creepy. Her and the evil clown.
God that evil clown was evil!!
This was really-really hard. I had to choose between Patrick, War and Shapeshifter!Dean... very-very hard choice for me.
ReplyDeleteWar was my second favorite horsemen and Patrick was just interesting (and not completely evil, I like that in a MOTW), but in the end I had to go with Shapeshifter!Dean, casue he was a very-very crazy SOB and he really-really creeped me out. *shiver*
I loved Madge Carrigan. She was the ultimate in creepy for me because she was so squeaky clean, but wielded a knife like it was nothing. She represents true evil in an ugly sweater to me! Heck, she could be my kid's teacher, or my over-friendly neighbor, or the old lady cashier at Food Lion. You just never know where evil is hiding... which is terrifying to me!

ReplyDeleteSucks that Meg possessed Sam is in the lead. As I said, neither Sam nor Meg are one-shot characters, so I really don't get why it was in the poll in the first place.
