Thanks to Sandi for the heads up.

TV’s erstwhile Buffy Summers, Sarah Michelle Gellar, is poised for a return to the smaller screen as the star of a new CBS drama pilot. Titled Ringer, the prospective new series revolves around a young woman on the run from the mob.

Ringer was penned by Supernatural writer-producers Eric Charmelo and Nicole Snyder; ABC Studios, CBS TV Studios and Brillstein Entertainment Partners will coproduce

    "A young woman on the run from the mob" : something like that on CBS, are you kidding? Unless she starts solving crimes at each episode, I don't think they're going to pick it up.

    It would be great to see SMG on TV again. I wish HBO had picked up her family drama "The Wonderful Maladys in 2009, it looked great.

    Is she in Witness Protection? Right now I'm not seeing what the plot could contain and how it could be sustain over 13 or 22 eps
