BLAIR VS. DAN — Blair (Leighton Meester) is ecstatic to land an internship at W Magazine, but the thrill quickly fades when she finds out that Dan (Penn Badgley) has secured one of the coveted positions as well. Chuck (Ed Westwick) may have finally met his match with Russell Thorpe (guest star Michael Boatman) – and his daughter Raina (guest star Tika Sumpter) – back on the Upper East Side. Nate (Chace Crawford) receives alarming news about his father’s (guest star Sam Robards) business prospects. Blake Lively, Kelly Rutherford and Matthew Settle also star... Jeremiah Chechik directed the episode written by Leila Gerstein (##413).

  1. Is it just me or does this Russell vs. Chuck fight sound so damn pointless already. Is this supposed to be the big storyline Chuck has ahead? lol

  2. I agree that it's pointless just for the fact that I find the Chuck vs. Lily angle that was presented before the winter break to be much more interesting. The show should of kept its focus on that.

    To be fair though, I don't think the Gossip Girl writers know what to do with Chuck when Blair isn't involved somehow.

  3. Not that the show is starting to become less interesting but I think the writers should come up with new and exciting twists. I just hate watching a show where past characters would come back over and over again.
