  1. She deserved it this year (and last), but I never expected her to actually win! GO KATY SEGAL!

  2. I was reigned to hear Marguiles or Sedgwick.. I almost spit out my coffee!

  3. Happy about Katey but Chris Colfer?
    I mean... seriously?

  4. Wow this has been a night of shocking winners.. unpredictable! I never expected Carlos or Colfer to win. Such an odd category... it seems to span 3 genres.

  5. Yeah he was the only one I would have written off LOL. Weird category tho with so many divrse genres... hard to put mini-series vs comedy vs drama vs movie.

  6. Haven't seen Carlos yet, but I've heard only GOOD things about it.

  7. IT must be very good because I have seen all the others and was very impressed by them, but I havent seen Carlos yet either.

  8. Steve Buscemi... hardly a surprise.

  9. I am a little surprised. While I thought he was great, I expected the guy with cancer on his series or the guy with cancer in real life to win.

  10. Here goes Boardwalk Empire. Like for Buscemi, hardly a surprise. We'll see what happens at the emmys, but sounds like finally someone will beat Mad Men.

  11. Well, Hall already won last year, and Cranston isn't much lovedy by the GG voters (which I consider a blasphemy since he's the best out there), so the first nod for Buscemi in the category took all the spotlight.

  12. Yeah I hadn't thought of past winners so much.. the Emmy's love Cranston so I thought it may translate.

  13. So glad for the win of Trent Reznor. Very much deserved.

    ReplyDelete
  14. In a movie like 127 Hours the score means SO much to film! I agree... well deserved.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Al Pacino won... not exactly a surprise.. lol
But I'm so happy that Idris Elba was among the nominees.

  16. Two great performances portraying actual people. Well deserved on both counts. Not movies I would watch repeatedly (like Luther or Pillars) or very often, but both very well done!

  17. Well it seems like the surprises are done now... back to predictable winners.

    ReplyDelete
  18. WOOT!! I was worried Glee would rob another actor of a Globe,,, but no- Jim Parsons wins!

    ReplyDelete
  19. Yes, at least he won. Now I just hope that Glee won't win the comedy category.

    ReplyDelete
  20. I would like to see The Big C or The Big Bang Theory win, but I kinda think Glee will too.

  21. Fincher rules!!!

Sounds like The Social Network is heading for the main prize.

  22. This is one of the hardest year's for me to choose a best picture for any award's show... a handful of fabulous films and all so different it's hard to compare them for me.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Just as we thought (feared): Glee won.

    ReplyDelete
  24. I have a feeling the names Colin Firth and Natalie Portman will be said quite a bit in the next few months!

    ReplyDelete
  25. Yep, I have the same feeling. Both are very much deserved so it's good.

    The Social Network wins!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  26. I agree. It won best director and best motion picture in the GG. The other movies will have to do pretty well to beat it.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Putting Pacino in a category is deciding the winner before it's even announced. Unless he's running against De Niro or Nicholson.

    ReplyDelete
  28. I LOVE Mad Men, but it was about time.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Michael C Hall won last year didn't he?

    ReplyDelete
  30. Now, let's see if the momentum will carry over to The Oscars for Social Network. My gut told me Black Swan and The fighter may have an advantage being more recently released, but maybe a few big wins for Network will change things up....

    ReplyDelete
  31. Yes he did. I had to check.. all the awards show blend together in my long term memory bank lol

    ReplyDelete
  32. And also best screenplay. Basically all the important ones except for the cast.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Best score too... so it won all the individual film awards... pretty good night!

    ReplyDelete
  34. Katy Segal,Jim Parsons,Christian Bale,Natalie Portman and Toy Story were the only wins i was happy about... I an really mad about all the the globes that Glee won,it didn't deserve them.... also i was mad about all the wins of the social network,it was definitely the worst movie of those nominated...
