FX has maybe the best comedy line up of all TV stations out there. It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia, Louie and Archer are all great shows. So I hope this will turn to be somewhere as good as those shows are.
I agree, they really have great comedies on FX. Like you said, there's Archer, Louie and I just saw the 1st season of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia so far but it's a promising start. You forgot The League, an awesome comedy as well (I hope it'll be renewed for a 3rd season).
HBO's and NBC's comedy line up are both as good as FX's though : Curb your Enthusiasm/Entourage/Hung (I'm not a fan on that one though)/Eastbound and Down/Bored to Death for HBO and Community/Parks and Recreation/The Office/30 Rock/Outsourced for NBC.
Wilfred doesn't look very good (I've never been a fan of movies/shows with animals represented as humans, it can turn out just gross and not funny) but I'll give it a try because Elijah Wood stars and because it's on FX.
You're in for a treat, It's Always Sunny in amazing. I love how totally politically incorrect the characters are. They tackle different topics in a way you rarely see it on TV, very refreshing! Haven't ever seen anything of The League, but maybe I'll find some time to check it out over the holidays.
I definitely like Community & Parks & Rec on NBC, but I'm not a huge fan of the HBO comedies. I haven't seen all of them, but Entourage and Bored To Death (which I watch every now and then) are amusing, but are a totally different kind of comedy, I just don't get to laugh as much as with other shows.
I'm actually not a huge fan of Elijah Wood, but because it's FX I'll give it a shot.
The Always Sunny Christmas episode was hysterical. I think I am mentally scarred after seeing Danny DeVito jump out of the couch naked. I was surprised at how bloody it was when Charlie bit the mall Santa.
Have you seen Eastbound and Down? If you like the politically incorrectness of Always Sunny you might like Eastbound.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

Haven't seen it. I guess I'll watch some episodes of The League & Eastbound and Down over the holidays.
ReplyDeleteI'd recommend season one first, it was funnier.
