  1. Well this is a tough one........
I kinda liked Demian and Barnes - but they were sooo into the larping thing
*whispers* it was a bit scary quite honestly......
but I just loved the way they stepped up to help Sam and Dean.............
Having said that....and because I can't vote for both of them (couldn't begin to choose between them) I'm going with........uummm.........

  2. This is process of elimination for me. I hated The Real Ghostbusters (not a fan of meta), Swap Meat took time away from the Apocalypse story without adding much, and I believe introducing Jesse as the AntiChrist was a big mistake. I don't think Joshua was in peril, although it was a great character so I am tempted to vote for him anyway. I don't like voting for one-shot characters played by main actors because I think they have an unfair advantage. It's why I didn't vote for Jimmy in the last poll and why I won't vote for Future Dean in this one.

That leaves me with Lindsey, who didn't do a whole lot in my opinion, Old Dean, whom I loved, and Pastor David, who was the most complex. I love the actor who played Old Dean. He was enough Dean and enough NotDean to make it fit. I especially liked how he was grumpy and couldn't climb the stairs. Old Dean made me laugh a lot and was one of the best parts of the episode. Still, my vote goes to Pastor David. He was asked to go beyond what minor characters usually faced. He agreed to kill his daughter. I know that she was a monster and it wasn't really her, but he was still going to kill the thing that looked like her. That has to be very hard for a layperson to here much less attempt to do. Usually it is the main characters expected to do such heavy lifting. Simply put, Pastor David felt like a full-fledged character to me, someone who could have been recurring. That's why he has my vote.

  3. Still haven't decided so ....let's see....
I don't really see FutureDean as a PiP, so he's definitely out.
This is very impressive for me - the fangirl instinct is saying: vote for Dean, vote for Dean.....
    BUT.......contrary to some people's opinion, I'm more than just a fangirl....soooo.......
Old Dean cracked me up.....he was so believable....and funny....(I can say this because of my own advanced age - don't any of you youngsters out there be saying he was funny - laughing at old people is not nice)
BUT.....the only peril he faced was the thread of his heart giving out - which is kinda 'normal' for more mature people......so.......
*mutters to self* this is a hard one........

  4. It just killed me to watch Sam/Lucifer kill future Dean, and our Dean seeing it happen.

  5. Hey that was my one thousandth comment.......
    Yeah I know...always something to say..... ;P
    (I've never heard THAT before ;P )
Anyway, I've thought some more and I've decided I can't vote for Jesse - he was more of a threat than a PiP.....hey you SAW what he did to Cas......imagine if he REALLY took a dislike to you.....
Gary was a spoiled brat who was very lucky he chose to pick on the Winchesters......anyone else would've wasted him on the spot....
Joshua was never a PiP as far as I remember. He was kinda likeable for a dickbag angel, but he seemed reasonably safe in his garden.......watching events unfold and not doing a darn thing about it......yeah definitely a dickbag......
So that leaves me with Lindsey and Pastor David.....
Lindsey was ok I guess...if somewhat nosy...and she definitely was a PiP.... for a very short time...but....as PiPs go, very average....
Therefore...well...I'm obviously gonna have to go with Pastor David. He was a small town minister shoved into a leadership role in a situation that no one could possibly be prepared for.....then suddenly these two guys come out of nowhere and tell him he has to kill his daughter. Well...what WAS his daughter....and he hadn't even noticed she'd gone.....
And he really was gonna do it....I'm really glad he didn't have to.....hell, she still LOOKED like his daughter...
So that's it then. My vote goes to Pastor David.
Yeah, I bet I know what you're thinking: 'took you long enough' or something like that ;)

  6. Congrats from one thousand-aire to another. Good choice too! I feel very sorry for Pastor David - he was in way over his head for quite some time.

  7. I actually laughed when Samifer killed future Dean, future Dean was cold, didn't care who got killed (including his friends) as long as he got the job done, was a major man-ho. Basically was a complete dick. Hmm... doesn't this remind you of someone? Say soulless Sam? Maybe it's just me.

  8. LOL we really shouldn't have put Old Dean and Futur Dean hahaha! Of course they will win duh! LOL

But hum.. FUTUR CAS any one? ahahaha. C'Mon he was AWESOME

  9. I chose Pastor David. It was obvious he loved his daughter and was sad to see even the fake-leah die. Also, he was the only townsperson not to fall under his fake daughter's deception.

  10. i like Old Dean..., He is Funny :)

  11. Ooohh...This was hard! But I went with The Pastor! Coz anyone who had just faced an Angel and STILL be able to go demon-hunting is cool enough for me!

  12. Seriously people, neither future nor old Dean was a PiP, they shouldn't really be in this poll, let alone voting for them. I went with Jesse.

  13. In all honesty, I don't think that Jesse fits the category either. He's more in tomorrow's question for me. Mostly because even though Cas wanted to kill Jesse, Cas was in more peril of being killed by Jesse. If no one can stop you, you aren't really in peril.

  14. Have to agree with some of the comments below: I'm not sure any of the various versions of Dean, or Jesse belong in this poll, but anyways! I voted for Damien from 'The Real Ghostbusters' (though really I think he and Barnes should have come as a package deal). I don't know what it was about those characters. Maybe that they were so bumbling yet likable, or the fact that they really came through in the end despite being scared silly, or even that they gave Sam and Dean a timely reminder as to what their relationship is really about, with that great quote from...one of them, I can never remember which, about going out to save the world with a brother who would be willing to die for you.

  15. Yeah, you're probably right about this, but then again, he kind of was a threat for himself and there were both demons and angels after him, wanting to either kill him or use him for their purposes, so I'd say he kind of was a person in peril, even if a very powerful one.

  16. Wow... only 15 votes for The Pastor. Yet it seems like most commentators voted for him. And then there's 152 voters for future!Dean, and only 2 commentators said they voted for him...

  17. I chose Lindsey because she was supposed to be the damsel in distress when the hunters dragged her back to the bar to confront Sam. She was the bait so Sam would answer their questions before they tried to have him drink the demon blood. If anything I think she liked Sam but you knew that would not work out.

  18. love how variations of dean are currently leading the poll, guess season 5 was pretty crappy for persons in peril.
i too went with future dean, i loved that episode and thought jensen did a tremendous job

  19. We do seem to have a lot more votes than comments. Typical for SpoilerTV, but definitely atypical for Supernatural. I hope we get more commenters as the hiatus progresses because it makes the break seem shorter, hearing what everyone else thinks.

  20. Oh good gracious...I could not stand that girl. @_@ It felt to me like she was just more nosy and pushy and smothering than a type of love interest or anything like that for Sam. I'm glad that they didn't go in that direction with her. She just...I dunno. Something about her rubbed me entirely the wrong way.

  21. Perhaps it depends on the poll topic, there were much more votes and comments in the best death polls.
What is our next poll again? the best one episode monster? that should be interesting, although I think we could gain a lot of votes in a poll for your favourite or least favourite demon. Imagine the fight between Meg, Ruby, Yellow Eyes, Lilith, Alastair and Crowley! ;)

  22. Great topic. I'll add it to the list. I've been trying to weekly topics that can have more than one poll just so we have something to do each day of the hiatus. This fits in with a theme I'm looking at for the week after next.

  23. We should have a whole topic for weekly poll ideas - but since there isn't one right now, I'll post my idea here: Best one-liner, and then have one for each season? Just a thought.

  24. Already on the list and quite frankly it is the one I am most looking forward to because it highlights the humor of Supernatural.

Thanks Mia and Pigeon for suggesting weekly poll topics. I need lots of ideas especially since the summer hiatus will seem endless and I'm hoping to continue the weekly poll idea through the summer, except for the weeks when Adam is doing the Favorite Show and Favorite Character polls.

  25. by the way, you rock ;) thanks for making these polls ;)

  26. :-) It helps me pass the time until hiatus is over. Otherwise I would go nuts.

  27. Hey TV Monkey, is there any way I could get you to run comparison stats for CW shows in the number of viewers and women viewers 18-34 categories. I am trying to find numbers to show that Supernatural skews higher than other CW shows except Smallville. Also, does anyone keep track of viewers under 18 years old? I can't find that stat anywhere. You are the only one I know who regularly has these stats in a form that I can read and understand. You rock!
