As you can see, the last episode to air, 'Appointment in Samara' has shot to the top of the leaderboard, and is your top places episode of Season Six so far:

Do you agree/disagree with the placing so far? What shocks you/surprises you? Anything cause you to go all demonic and shit.... :P

  1. mm, I guess I agree. Although maybe I would have put 'Caged Heat' at the top. That is my favourite of the season so far!

  2. Unsurprising to see 'Appointment in Samarra' at the top of that list, what a fantastic episode. I have never been so creeped out by Sam, even when he was possessed by Meg. I pretty much agree with the rest, I think. Though I would have put 'Exile on Main Street' much higher up, I actually really liked the season premier, but I think that's against the flow of popular opinion, so I'm not surprised to see it at the bottom.

  3. I agree with most of the list, with the exception of the Third Man not being in last. I thought there was some seriously bad pacing issues. And I guess I would have put Weekend At Bobby's at the top, though not by much...

  4. Put clap your hands higher and all dogs goes to heaven too and i agree :D

  5. I think Clap Your Hands and Caged Heat should've been higher up. I would've put Exile above All Dogs, but other than that, not bad I suppose. And Weekend at Bobbies? Seriously? It's spelled Weekend at Bobby's. x__x lol

  6. i am just so glad that there will be no more SoulessSam.

  7. I agree with most of it, however I do not believe Weekend at Bobby's was that good and Live Free or Twihard that bad. I actually enjoyed the vampire episode much more than the Bobby one. Come on, it was soooo slow. And LFOTH had some great moments, with Dean's vampire teeth, the nest's amazing atmosphere and creepy Sam's look when Dean was getting turned. And the vampiric visions - loved them. Appointment in Samarra, Family Matters, You Can't Handle the Truth and Caged Heat were four great episodes indeed.

  8. Appointment In Samarra definitely deserves to be at the top. It was just pure brilliance, evenly paced and completely chilling. Julian Richings was amazing as always and honestly, I hope we will see him back in Supernatural.

I am surprised that All Dogs Go To Heaven is in the bottom though. I thought it was a great episode and it really reminded me of the monster of the week episodes in the earlier seasons.

Clap Your Hands was hilarious. That was my #1.

  10. I totally agree that Appointment in Samarra should be number one......it had all the classic elements of an SPN episode.
I would have placed The Third Man a little lower though....I know it had some really great parts but there was just something 'off' about it.... sorry for my use of the very technical jargon there :P I just can't find the right words for what it was that irritated me about it.....

  11. My top and bottom change every few days, but for right now here's my ranking.

    11. Two and a Half Men - hardly remember it
    10. Clap You Hands if You Believe - please do not continue with the fairy world
    9. Live Free or Twi-Hard - sooo much wasted potential; disappointed with this one
    8. The Third Man - more angels, great / kid torture, fabulous / not a big fan of Castiel right now
These bottom 4 frequently change place for me depending on my mood. All are about equal in my eyes.

    7. All Dogs Go to Heaven - to much like another shapeshifter episode, good drama though
    6. Exile on Main St. - I liked it and Family Man Dean; didn't like retconning the djinns
    5. You Can't Handle the Truth - loved Veritas; loved finally getting answers

The next 4 frequently change places in my mind. LOVED them all for different reasons.
    4. Appointment in Samarra - loved Death a whole lot; hate the end of RoboSam; worry about what Sam comes next (please not emo, whiny, angsty Sam)
    3. Caged Heat - really liked Meg in this one; good action; didn't like Crowley's death (deserved better)
    2. Weekend at Bobby's - LOVED; good pacing, great humor; woodchipper; Rufus - what's not to love
    1. Family Matters - right now it's still my favorite for the many, many reveals & confirmation that Grandpa Creepy is evil

  12. So I've decided a new ranking system for myself.

    ENTERTAINING WILL WATCH AGAIN PILE

    Family Matters
    Clap Your Hands

ABSOLUTE POO WILL NEVER EVEN THINK ABOUT AGAIN LET ALONE WATCH PILE

    Exile On Main Street
    Two and a Half Men
    Live Free or Twi-hard

THESE MAY GET ANOTHER SPIN ON THE DVD PLAYER BUT THERE WILL BE HEAVY USE OF FAST FORWARD BUTTON

The Third Man (FF everything but shirtless Sam's workout)
You Cant Handle The Truth (FF everything that doesn't have Sam in it because theres only so much Dean angst and self pity I can take before I start yelling at my screen for him to just sod off back to Lisa)
All Dogs Go To Heaven (FF everything but RoboSam being a rather entertaining dick)

HAVENT EVEN GOTTEN AROUND TO WATCHING YET PILE

    Appointment In Samarra
    Caged Heat

  13. Just realised I forgot Weekend At Bobby's. So that goes in my......

    WAY OVERRATED PILE

Weekend At Bobby's (I saw it once it wasn't bad-pacing was right for the first time in season 6 and it was well written and way better than episodes 1,2,3,5 and 6 but I wont watch it again. I came, I saw, I'm over it)

  14. Totally agree on the Weekend being overrated. Totally disagree that it was better than episodes 5 and especially 6, which I loved.

  15. LOL!!! @ "cause you to go all demonic and shit.... :P"

For me, TTM is at the bottom of my list (which is weird because I just love Cas). That episode to me was a bit messy, IMO.

  16. I agree for the most part, although I would place Exile much higher. I enjoyed the premiere and thought they did an excellent job of rebooting the series and taking it into a new era while still being loyal to its roots. I'd also place Third Man lower. Like Jillyanne said, it had pacing problems and Castiel didn't really have much to offer. The top 5 are pretty much interchangeable for me, tho I do agree Appt. in Samara was the best ep so far. I believe it's because they are finally getting to the meat of the story, so I can see the second half of season 6 being even better.

  17. I'm gonna miss him. I am excited to see soul-full Sam again, but now that I know what the problem is with Sam, I found him hilarious in the Dog and the Fairy episodes.

  18. It's definitely not good enough to be on top of that list, but it should be up there somewhere I suppose.

  19. I still think "My daddy shot your daddy in the head" ranks above Sammy coming after Bobby, but maybe because I'm so desensitized by now...lol

    ReplyDelete
  20. OMFG someone else agrees with me! I felt like watching that episode was a chore...

    ReplyDelete
  21. Yeah, srsly. Not to bitch but "WEEKEND AT BOBBY'S" FTW.

    ReplyDelete
  22. LOL Thank you for that. xD My hubby and I just finished Lost. This is the 2nd time I've watched it through and the ending of that show made me cry AGAIN, so this cheered me up significantly. xD

    ReplyDelete
  23. Even if I hate an episode, if I love a show then I'll watch the episodes again.

Are you a die-hard Supernatural fan? I haven't seen this season so I can't comment, but they can't be that bad you won't even think about them again :P

  24. I think the table is fairly accurate. From what I have read, "Appointment in Samarra" and "Caged Heat" should be tied for first. My least favorite is "All Dogs Go To Heaven, so that is in the right place towards the bottom. I don't think "Exile on Main Street" deserves to be at the very bottom, though. I think we were all surprised by what happened in that episode, but I enjoyed it simply because we waited so long for the season premiere!
Less than a month to go until Jan. 28th. Can't wait!

  25. I´d put all dog go to heaven higher than the two and a half man.

It revealed more about Sam and what he is really thinking, it was way funnier and the action scenes rocked.
I agree with the top episodes mostly.
Personally I loved Clap your hands, even if you could debate the story. It was funny and I am a sucker for funny as much as drama (and drama we had enough the past episodes, we needed funny).

  26. YOUR LOSS.
Weekend at Bobby's is anything but overrated.

    ReplyDelete
  27. True, I'd forgotten that line, that was well creepy. I don't know. I think it was the fact that it was just Sam, with no demons or anything that made RoboSam scarier for me.

    ReplyDelete
  28. All Dogs Go to Heaven and Family Matters both sucked pretty hard. I'm so done with Sambot it isn't funny. Not looking forward to WoobieNobody'sEverSufferedLikeSammy, which is just a repeat of last season's WhinyNobody'sEverSufferedLikeBobby. New season, new angst magnet.

Exile on Main Street and Caged Heat were a bit tough to watch but necessary in order to understand the season's plot.

Two and a Half Men and Clap Your Hands If You Believe had some enjoyable parts and some really annoying parts. A bit of wasted potential there.

I enjoyed the rest, with Appointment and Samarra and Weekend at Bobby's vying for the top spot and Live Free or Twihard close behind (despite its stupid title, it was a good episode, especially vamped-out Dean). I give Samarra a slight edge because the story was less disorganized and I loved Dean and Death. On the other hand, I greatly enjoyed JRA's direction/cynical view of the SPNverse, Rufus was hysterical and the boys got to go to Scotland (which JRA actually made look realistic). It was also the last time Crowley was fun.

I also liked The Third Man, though I'm still waiting for that storyline to pan out more. And You Can't Handle the Truth was pretty decent, despite the perfunctory dispatching of a good MOTW.

  29. Anyone please explain me what was so amazing about that episode, because I don't get it. I love Bobby, but the episode was slow and anywhere near exciting, to be honest I don't even remember it that well.
