ReplyDeleteRizzoli & Isles, Fringe and John Noble, Anna Torv (hard to choose between Anna, Emily and Stana), Jim Parsons, Jane Lynch, Leonard Nimoy, Fringe or Bones triangle, Entrada, Dollhouse, The Event.

The Fringe Triangle is missing
ReplyDeleteUhh...Misha isn't a "Guest Star"....Oh well! GO H 5-0 and Supernatural!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty sure my picks won't be first. Surprised LOST dropped out of the top five for best returning show. Guess it's fans have moved on or gone elsewhere. I expect Supernatural, Vampire Diaries & Fringe to have the most successes in the end results, but it could go anyway :P

Best Returning Show of 2010 - Supernatural or Fringe (Supernatural)
Best Lead Actor in a Drama - Jensen Ackles or John Noble (Jared Padalecki)
Best Actress in Drama - Anna Torv or Stana Katic (Erica Durance)

Favourite Guest Star - Misha Collins or Timothy Dalton (Mark Sheppard)
Best Love Triangle - Damon/Elena/Stefan (Clark/Lois/Blur)
Best Animated Show - South Park or Family Guy (Spongebob Squarepants)
Best Episode of 2010 - Entrada (Fringe) or The End (Lost) [Swan Song (Supernatural)]
Best Show Ended / Cancelled - Lost (Dollhouse)
Worst New Show - The Event or Shit My Dad Says (can't actually remember what I voted for).
On a sidenote, it's interesting that Nikita is the top 5 for both best and worst new show. Talk about dividing the fans.
Disappointed that Jared did not finish on the list. He has done such strong work the first half of the season. So now I will change my vote to Jensen. His performance has also been very strong. Go Jensen and Go Supernatural.
ReplyDeleteSurprised Supernatural didn`t make it to the top 5 in Best Episode
ReplyDeleteBest Returning Show of 2010
ReplyDeleteSupernatural
Best Lead Actor in a Drama
Jensen Ackles (Supernatural
Favourite Guest Star
Jim Beaver (Supernatural
Best Show Ended / Cancelled

ReplyDeleteBest Returning show of 2010 - Fringe

Best animate show - Spongebob Squarepants
Best Episode of 2010 - Entrada (Fringe)
Best Show Ended / Cancelled - LOST
Worst New Show - Shit My Dad Says
It's a little bit funny that Nikita is amongst the best and worst new shows :)
ReplyDeleteI am really surprised, where is the NCIS love? :(
ReplyDeleteBest New Show: The Walking Dead (hope it keeps up the quality in S2)
ReplyDeleteBest Actor in a Drama: Matthew Fox (outstanding all 2010, and amazing in the finale)
Best Actress in a Comedy: Tina Fey
Best Love Triangle: Fringe (much as I LOVE Lost, this year the J/S/K triangle was all but absent, while Peter + 2 Olivias intrigued)
Best Show Ended: Lost
Best Episode: The End
Worst New Show: No Ordinary Family
If I could have, I'd have voted for Juliana Margulies and Martha Plimpton, just FYI,
Those are my votes. I can't begin to guess who the winners will be.
ReplyDeleteMy hopes would be this (mostly in the categories that have Fringe, the rest are pretty whatever, really)
ReplyDeleteThe Walking Dead
Fringe
John Noble (Fringe)
Anna Torv (Fringe) SHE NEEDS ALL OF THE AWARDS. A L L O F T H E M.
Zach Levi (Chuck) or Jim Parsons (BBT) - I'm not picky/don't mind if it goes either way.
Tina Fey (30 Rock)
Leonard Nimoy (Fringe) - IT IS LEONARD NIMOY ON FRINGE, YOUR ARGUMENT IS INVALID
Olivia/Peter/Alternate Olivia - C'mon, what other show has a love triangle with two versions of the same woman where the man didn't realize he was with the wrong one because she tricked him using her vagenda while on a mission for "the survival of her own universe" as she infiltrated/manipulated/deceived/fooled everyone until it was too late and she got everything she needed so when our Olivia crosses back, her life is in ruins, basically and the love is tainted between the actual OTP and must be built up again now that it's been broken down? It just trumps any other "love triangle" ever in the history of anything.
Don't care what wins Animation. I said Archer back when, but I don't watch a lot of animated shows.
Entrada - (Fringe) IT WAS LIKE A MOVIE AND IT HAD BOTH SIDES AND IT WAS PERFECT
Lost - Ok I will give you this Lost. I miss you! I wish more of you Losties would watch/become obsessed with Fringe.
Then idc about Worst new show but I'll just say Shit My Dad Says. Why does it exist?
It would be great if it is FRINGE all the way.
ReplyDeleteChuck FTW!!
ReplyDeleteHmmm so hard to predict how I think this site will vote, but here goes....
ReplyDeleteBest New Show of 2010 - The Walking Dead
Best Returning Show of 2010 - Fringe
Best Lead Actor in a Drama - Jensen Ackles
Best Actress in Drama - Anna Torv
Best Actor in a Comedy - Jim Parsons
Best Actress in Comedy - Jane Lynch
Favourite Guest Star - Misha Collins
Best Love Triangle - Fringe "triangle"
Best Animated Show - Family Guy
Best Episode of 2010 - The End (Lost)
Best Show Ended / Cancelled - Lost
Worst New Show - Shit My Dad Says
Yeah it is hard to find anyone that watches it on this site (other than me) , but it has 10 million viewers a week so some one is watching.
ReplyDeleteI can explain that one. From what I have read their are fans of Nikkita out there and they love the show. The flip side to that one is that a lot of SPN fans are pissed at the show for taking the Thursday time slot and moving our boys to Friday and thus have boycotted everything about the show. So that is how you have people who love and hate the show. I have to admit that I am one of those people.....plus I saw the original Nikkita on USA a long time ago and find it an insult that are doing a remake of it. The actors in the original one was sooo great and I was sad when it went off the air.
ReplyDeleteBased on people's comments my guess for the winners is;
ReplyDeleteBest New Show of 2010 - The Walking Dead
Best Returning Show of 2010 - The Vampire Diaries
Best Lead Actor in a Drama - Jensen Ackles (Supernatural)
Best Actress in Drama - Anna Torv (Fringe)
Best Actor in a Comedy - Zachary Levi (Chuck)
Best Actress in Comedy - Jane Lynch (Glee)
Favourite Guest Star - Leonard Nimoy (Fringe)
Best Love Triangle - Damon, Elena, Stefan (The Vampire Diaries)
Best Animated Show - The Simpsons
Best Episode of 2010 - Death and All His Friends (Grey's Anatomy)
Best Show Ended / Cancelled - Lost
Worst New Show - The Event
Best New Show: The WalkingDead
ReplyDeleteBest Returning Show: (if not evident by my screen name. ha ha ha) Supernatural
Best Lead Actor in a Drama: I love Jensen Ackles and I am huge fan of Ian -- so I think it will between those two :)
Best Lead Actress in a Drama: Nina Dobrev (she did a great job portraying Katherine and Elena)
Best Actor in a Comedy: I don't know. I am a Glee fan, so I am with Cory....but Chuck is a very popular show -- as evident with the TV Guide cover battle.
Best Actress in a Comedy: Jane Lynch (And that is how Sue sees it, need I say more :) )
Favorite Guest Star: Can't determine who will win this one. SPN fanbase is huge so it could be a battle between Misha and Jim. But then again Leonard Nemoy was great on Fringe and it was nice to have him back on TV :)
Best Love Triangle: Well Bones will not win b/c most of the fans have moved on from Booth and Bones getting together. Fox screwed the pooch on that one for dragging it out so long. I honestly believe that Damon, Stefan and Elena will win. The complexity of the love triangle is something the writers have mastered. It is excellent to watch b/c we don't have the predicatable I love you but must stay away; and while I am doing that I am going to sulk. Damon never sulks and to watch the dance these three do. Just awesome writing :)
Best Animated Show: I don't watch any of these and thus have no opinion who might win.
Best episode: Entrada (fringe)
Best Show ended: again don't watch any of these....but I wish Smallville had made it on the list. Going to miss that show.
Worst New Show: I would personally vote for Nikkita....but they will not win this category. I believe Hellcats or the Event will probably win. I have read that people think that the Event is a cheap rip off of Lost and they are also getting fustrated with the storyline.
Sorry my post is sooo long. Happy Holidays everyone!!!! :)
I'm acquainted with women who use their vagenda.
ReplyDeleteI have a feeling Fringe will do a lot of winning. ;)
ReplyDeleteWOW really ..i used to watch it ,but its kinda bored me :/
ReplyDeletewell good to know that show does have some viewers thou :p
Guilty pleasure... I love me some Shatner. Terrible name, silly to steal a concept from the internet, but I find it light fun and it's nice to see a sitcom where every third joke is not sex related. I do not wait anxiously for it to air in anyway, but I think it is as good as (or better then) many of this year's less than stellar new shows.
ReplyDeleteThat sure a good point to say !! i agreed that its nice to see a sitcom not sex related ,but can you find those kind sitcom now ..i hardly see thou
ReplyDeleteall comedy sitcom i watch is partially related to SEX topic 0_O (most of it in cbs shows)
ngaww, sad. I'm a HUGE HUGE HUGE supernatural fan but i also like Nikita. I also didn't mind the SPN move to friday, it belongs with smallville :) it doesn't matter which tv night its on anyway, the fans will follow it anywhere.
ReplyDeleteMy best guesses are as follows:
ReplyDeleteBest New Show: The Walking Dead (I voted for Justified, but will not be disappointed if it goes to TWD)
Best Returning Show: Supernatural (I voted for Lost, but of the top 5 Fringe and Chuck are SO much better than Supernatural, and I think Smallville has been pretty good this year as well)
Best Lead Actor in a Drama: Matthew Fox (I voted for him, would again if I could, a little worried about Ackles though)
Best Lead Actress in a Drama: Anna Torv (voted for Yvonne, but Anna has been fantastic this year and deserves it)
Best Lead Actor in a Comedy: Zachary Levi (voted for him, I think he is very underrated as an actor)
Best Lead Actress in a Comedy: Jane Lynch??? (I voted for Alison Brie of Community. Don't care about any of the top 5)
Best Guest Star: Timothy Dalton (voted for him; he has been superb. Hopefully the spn votes are split. Nimoy wouldn't surprise me either)
Best Love Triangle: Fringe (although, again, go Lost here, but Fringe would not disappoint me too much)
Best Animated Show: Family Guy (my vote)
Best Episode: The End Lost (I voted for Phase 3, only after a coin flip. The End was beautiful, a great end to my all-time fav. Entrada was good as well)
Best Show Ended/Canceled: Lost (it has to win, just has to, its Lost for crying out loud!)
Worst New Show: Ugh, who cares, hopefully not Nikita. I'm still hoping there are uncounted votes hidden somewhere for Outsourced. What a piece of garbage)
There were too many choices I think. Voting was divided between 5 different episodes, which is more than any other show. This is one time when our notorious commenting might have hurt us.

Shit My Dad Says
Mine too. It seems like just when I think I know what people will vote, it all turns on its head. I'm playing the division game in this one. I don't think it will be Jensen Ackles because the SPN vote would have been divided between him and Jared Padalecki, who has had his strongest acting to date this season. Fringe is getting all kinds of love on SpoilerTV so I expect Anna Torv to have the most votes of anyone in any category. It's hard to choose between Fringe and Supernatural for returning show, because both have strong bases and a lot of people watch both shows. Best show cancelled will be Lost and it may have even more votes than Anna Torv now that I think about it. Again I think Best Episode will be divided by the numbers. I give the edge to Lost since Supernatural had 5 episodes to choose from and Fringe had 4. Guest star is hard and I think the fact that Supernatural has 2 choices will allow for a slight win from Leonard Nimoy on Fringe. Love triangle will have to be Vampire Diaries, since the entire show is about it. (Although personally, I like Hannah on Bones - ducks from the flying rotten fruit). Best new show - Walking Dead without doubt. It has a lot of supporters here for having such few episodes.
ReplyDeleteI`m afraid your right ;/
ReplyDeletebut in our defense , there are just too many brilliant episodes in this show ;)
With 16 million viewers who don't spend a lot of time on the internet polling. Shows that skew as high as NCIS will do great in the ratings but not so well on online polls. Good thing it's the ratings that count. I enjoy NCIS too.
ReplyDeleteI like sex, am not uptight, but it is nice to have a variety of sources for humor. CBS is bad that way... still funny but predictable.
ReplyDeleteGo Smallville!! Common Smallville you can win!! Dont forget to vote for Erica Durance in best female drama, Teri hatcher for best guest star, and Abandoned or Salvation for best episode!
ReplyDeleteAlso Misha Collins is not a guest star!!! you should know that since u watch Supernatural!
ReplyDeletebecause of comedy shows like this me and my wife have sex every night lol its amazing!
ReplyDeleteSorry but I cant vote for Jensen .Jared has been outstanding this Season and not Jensen for me I cant vote for what I dont believe in as much has I love Jensen . So the lead actor in a drama I will give a miss because I wont vote against him either.
ReplyDeleteI am surprised by the preliminary results in some categories.
ReplyDeleteMy predictions (winners only):
Best New Show - TWD;
Best Returning Show - Fringe;
Best Lead Actor (Drama) - Ian Somerhalder (in my head), Jensen (in my heart);
Best Actress (Drama) - Anna Torv (people love her);
Best Actor (Comedy) - Zach Levi (in my head), Cory Monteith or Neil P. Harris (in my heart);
Best Actress (Comedy) - Jane Lynch (in my head), Lea (in my heart);
Favourite Guest Star - Leonard Nimoy;
Best Love Triangle - Damon, Elena, Stefan;
Best Animated Show - The Simpsons;
Best Episode of 2010 - The End (Lost);
Best Show Ended / Cancelled - Lost;
Worst New Show - Shit My Dad Says or Hellcats.
I expect no awards for Supernatural. I think SPN will take a few second and third places in some categories, but no wins.
I expect at least 3 awards for Fringe, at least two for LOST.
I'm so glad to see two ladies from Glee in the Top 5, they really deserve it. Lea and Jane were nominated for Emmy (last year) and Golden Globe (twice) as best actresses.
And a huge surprise for me that Cory in the top 5 best actors in comedy.
PS After all, the comedies does not have any chance for win against dramas in "Best Returning Show" category. I think there should be separate category for comedies.
Really random question, but is Chuck a comedy or a drama? Because I noticed looking through the list here that Chuck is nominated for Best Actress in a Drama and Best Actor in a Comedy... While I understand that it's one of those shows that blurs the line between comedy and drama, it seems like it should have remained in one genre for the purposes of these polls. But I suppose it doesn't really matter...
ReplyDeleteOn another note, while I know that these polls really don't mean anything and they're just for fun, it makes me really happy to see Fringe represented so strongly in the various categories. I'm hoping beyond hope that that support will be reflected in the ratings when Fringe moves to Fridays.
Probably the best coment-induced laugh I have ever had!!! :))
ReplyDeleteI don't think he was a regular yet in season 5 so I believe having Misha in the guest star category still works this year. I think it was only this season (season 6) that he was made a series regular.
ReplyDeleteOH YEA ... don't make me start it ..cbs really doing badly with comedy show .. they will make the show bored with the same thing 0_0 and in other word *predictable*
ReplyDeleteand i totally agreed its nice to variety of sources for humor
This is what I think will win - but not what I want to win! :)

Shit My Dad Says
I would like to suggest a couple of things for next year's SpoilerTV Awards.
ReplyDelete1. different categories for Cancelled shows and Ended shows: many cancelled shows deserve a chance for standing out, but that's very hard to get if they have to compete with ending shows like 'Lost', '24', or - when the time comes - 'House' or 'Supernatural', etc, etc, etc. Also, many non-english speaking fans that nevertheless try to vent their love for some given show could - and that's pure speculation from me, I admit it - get confused with that Cancelled/Ended title assuming it's only about ending shows due to cancellation.
2. avoid including shows on both Returning and Ended categories: a show ending that year should not be elegible as a returning show, and my argument stands the same as "many returning shows deserve a chance for standing out, but that's very hard to get if they have to compete with ending shows like 'Lost', '24', or - when the time comes - 'House' or 'Supernatural', etc, etc, etc.
I rest my case :)
I think the winners are:

I can´t believe....where is Jared Padaleky (best lead actor in drama).... He isn´t in the 5 winners!!!....:(
ReplyDeletehahaha ..... good way end the day ahh !!!
ReplyDeleteChuck has its comedic elements, its dramatic elements, action, sci-fi, all rolled into one. The lead actress, Yvonne Strahovski, plays a more dramatic character than comedic, while the lead actor, Zachary Levi, plays a little more comedic role. I guess it really just depends how you look at it, and whomever nominated Strahovski thought she played a more dramatic role.
ReplyDeleteI hate the move of Fringe. Hopefully enough people continue to tune in and they get a much deserved fourth season
Great idea. I think you're right that people might feel differently about a show they've been loyal to for years than about a show that got cancelled after a few episodes.
ReplyDeleteI reasoned through my own poll voting but I am completely biased towards LOST and found myself thinking: "Lost is the Best Ending show so maybe I could give a chance to another series on the Returning category". This thought lasted about half a second before I voted LOST again :)
ReplyDeleteMy guesses:

Shit My Dad Says
Yes Graciie us fans will follow the show anywhere.....but when networks kicks something to Fridays, it is like a slap in the face. Friday is like the death day for TV shows. Hence the reason why Smallville is there b/c it is the last season and the CW wanted to go ahead and put the new shows up on high profile days. Some of us feel like the CW treats SPN like the red-headed stepchild. Notice that it wasn't the CW that put SPN on the cover of TV Guide it was the fans. They do not show that many commericals for the show. I mean during Vampire Diaries and Supernatural there is always that little icon at the bottom right side of the screen advertising Nikkita. Honestly it is not that we are mad at Nikkita -- it is the network that we have problem with. We know SPN has fans and lots of them. You can tell by the amount of fans that show up for the Con-Conventions. Everyone I have met has started watching the show b/c someone turned them on to it. It was not the advertising but by word of mouth that SPN has developed such a cult following. My friends and I find it funny that no one we know outside of the net has ever heard of the show. My friend Lisa got sick of me talking about the show and finally asked to borrow my box sets. She is totally hooked now. Rambling and I will stop now. Just venting some fustrations. Sorry if I offended anyone.
ReplyDeleteGod the CW is THE WORST when it comes to screen logo or screen promotions! Their logo at times FEELS like it takes up a fifth of the screen and that is without the 2 or 3 lines of promotional text above it! And why is it not in the corner like most channels? Does it need to be a 1/4 or 1/5 of the way inside the corner? The only other channel that comes close to this is ABCFamily.
ReplyDeleteInteresting results. You know, I had no idea Nikita was so unpopular.
ReplyDeleteSupernatural & Jensen Ackles! But I can't decide between Misha and Jim. LOST, as well, although I haven't seen Season 6 yet.
IT sucks how Jared Padaleck is in for Best Lead Actor he is so underrated its not even funny he's being doing a flipping FANTASTIC job playing all the different sides of Sam and he never gets recognized for it its always someone else.
ReplyDeleteWow, I'm surprised Katerina (The Vampire Diaries) was even nominated! There were much better episodes! :P

ReplyDeleteMisha was made a regular in season 5 and continues to be a regular in season 6. His first appearance was in season 4.
ReplyDeleteBetter not guessing, every time I do that it all goes down :p
ReplyDeleteJust wanted to say that I'm happy that 'Legend of The Seeker' made it under the best 5, and also applause to Jim Parsons, Kaley Cuoco, Death and All His Friends, Timothy Dalton, Stana Katic, Matthew Fox, Fringe and Pretty Little Liars / Rizzoli and Isles!!
But I'm not guessing, no... ;)
My guesses are never ever right for anything like this, but I watch Chuck, Fringe, Lost, The Vampire Diaries and Grey's Anatomy (among so many others) and although I love all the shows, if Death and All His Friends doesn't win the best episode category I will die.
ReplyDeleteHere are my hopes;

My doubt is: Why Nikita is in the top of Best New Show and also in Worst New Show??? I
ReplyDeleteMy 5 cents worth. I'm unfamiliar with a lot of the other shows and much as I love Egg's new American incarnation in the Walking Dead I just can't stand Zombies!
