    Yeah-it is January 27th that Vamp Diaries returns. But when it does, you know that it will be goooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooood. Things are going to be heating up! It's just going to be a month and a half of PURE AGONY until then. But thank goodness for all the previous episodes....

    I JUST KNEW that whole steamy scene was a delusion-Katherine playing around with Stefan's mind!! I have never been HAPPIER that Stefan is out of that doggone-blessed tomb!! I am even MORE ECSTATIC that they are FINALLY back together!! This episode has made my entire week!!! Now the month and a half countdown begins.....

    I'm also glad that Tyler survived his first transformation relatively unscathed. Thank goodness Caroline was there for him as much as she possibly could (without coming to any harm herself). I think this whole triangle between her, Matt, and Tyler is going to play out really, really nicely. Although, I see her getting back together with Matt because now that Tyler is a werewolf, one bite from him is really, really dangerous, so there's no way that a Caroline-Tyler relationship could ever work out. I think Caroline deserves someone like Matt-someone who unaware of the whole vampire/werewolf/supernatural world. If she gets back together with Matt, it'll be nice little piece of normalcy and sanity back in her life again-which Caroline DESPERATELY NEEDS!

    I know there is going to be a Tyler/Caroline relationship, Just watching their scenes this episode was pretty intense and had me rooting for them more than Matt. Matt just wouldn't understand like Tyler would and they just have that supernatural bond.

    Other than that I was disappointed in the lack of Damon and Elena scenes because I really want something to happen between them. I feel bad because now it seems like the one person that was giving him attention (Rose) is now going to die.

    Well that was...disappointing?

    For pre-mid-season=-break episode I expected something great, but

    Tomb scenes - nothing important happened.
    Elena scenes - nothing important happened.
    Caroline/Tyler/omgwrewolvesturning - guess what? Nothing important happened.
    Damon/Alaric/newChick - nothing important happened.

    the twist? Oh apparently rose got bitten, what a surprise. meh.

    The whole episode felt like a stalling-for-time episode where nothing happens. I am disappointed.

    I kind of agree... the whole newChick becoming a vampire was sort of cool, but then they ruined the whole thing by bringing back Rose (who I like) simply to have someone to kill off... like WTH!

    I did, however, like the whole transformation scenes, even though it was sort of underwhelming.

    That eppy SUCKED. Like seriously, way to many loose ends weren't tied.. the SK scene was fake.. Damon was acting OOC.. and that Rose cliffhanger? That's just dumb. No one gives a shit about her.. Damon should have gotten bit.. OH and the Damon & Rose scenes? WTF suddenly he cares about her? What happened to Elena? They're fucking up my favorite character and I'm PISSED.

    I'm loving what the character of Caroline has become. She's come so much further than I anticipated when I started watching the show. I love the fact that despite all of the changes the character of Damon has gone through..he's still fundamentally himself. He just can't help but pick a fight. Tyler's werewolf scenes were really difficult to watch. I think this is the first universe where the change took so long the first fiew times. It makes sense.

    I've looked at some of the comments and I'm not quite understanding the nothing happened reactions. I wonder if its because the promos set this up as a mid-season finale and it really wasn't. Most of the plots moved forward but in more of a normal weekly pace. Elena got Stefan free. (Did anyone really think the Stefan and Katherine kiss was real? My original guess was that Stefan was doing a 'gotcha'.) Someone should suggest to Jenna that she shouldn't invite people into the house ever ever again. :-) Bonnie handed the moonstone over to the "bad guys." I suspect the Rose getting bitten is going to be useful when Tyler inevitably bits Caroline. (I don't think Damon suddenly has a thing for Rose. She's a diversion. If Elena said jump....Damon'd be on a rooftop before he'd think to ask how high.

    I really liked the ep. I've really liked most of this season and am looking forward to the return in January.
