Can't see anything matching Rita's death in terms of an emotional shock to end a season. Except for Dexter revealing his secret to Deb, which the writers have very cleverly laid out as something she will ultimately be able to accept ( Dex as a vigilante)
Ugh, show started at nearly :04 and ended @ :47... so barely 43 minutes of Dexter. WTH like the 3+ time this season... usually a 50 minute and the rest 55-59 minutes. Otherwise great episode! Yeah hey are definitely leading us to Debra finding Dexter.
I know I seriously hope that was a fakeout. I never watch the Dexter previews cause they are way too spoilerish, but this one I just saw on accident, so I really hope they didn't ruin it. Doesn't really matter though, cause either she finds out or she doesn't and I would have given it 50/50 odds preview or no preview.I'm more anxious to know the fate of Lumen.
I really don't see Deb finding out. They have been teasing us with the idea all season of her finding out. I just can't see the writers going through with it. Plus the teaser is pushing us so much to believ it. Didn't the writers say too that they were not trying to top last year? One thing that popped out at me this episode was the mention of the birthday party. It was mentioned three times throughout casually. I think Deb will miss Jordan's murder by a minute and Dex and Lumen will be out just in time. The next episode is titled "The Big One." Harrisons's first birthday! Which was casually mentioned earlier in the season as coming up soon. I think the show will wrap up neatly with Dex and Lumen in Orlando for the big birthday. Plus no announcement for renewal next year leads me to believe the writers are trying everything possible to make us believe this is the season Dexter's big secret is revealed and Lumen will no longer be with us.
Dex has already been renewed for next year. Just a few days ago. And other spoiler sources said, that the ending of this season will be another BIG one. Bad one, for Dex, I believe.
Someone said on another post that maybe she is actually pointing the gun at Quinn because she thinks he killed Robocop due to the blood that got on his shoe. Maybe that's why in the promo he is looking all upset in the interrogation room and needs dexters help to remove any evidence that may implicate him. Who knows with dexter season finales
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
I DVRed it and about to watch it! Will either comment my thoughts later tonight or tomorrow. But knowing Dexter, it's got to be good!

ReplyDeletethat last scene in the promo for next week really looked like she was going to find him in the middle of killing jordan
ReplyDeleteI got WAY too much satisfaction out of Liddy's death. o.o
ReplyDeleteI thought the same thing... Maybe next week's will be around 57 minutes?
