    Not the most intense episode or dark, but it was unique as far as the series goes since it was the first time I recall them trying to prove innocence and not catch guilty. Fun change of pace for me. Plus as usual... more Morgan and Rossi = better episode.

    I don't know honestly other than he had family business to take care of on the show according to the phone call at the beginning. Maybe it was just another way to save money and have one less person to pay that episode?

    He was at "The Ryder Cup" during the filming of that episode so I'm guessing they just figured out a way to write him out for one episode. Hotch is apparently struggling with all that's happened to him which is supposed to be part of his "secret" this season. It worked even though it felt weird without him barking out orders.

    Thanks for the info. I figured it had to do with him being gone from filming that week, but had no clue what the reason was....
