Love Bites - Episodes reduced to 9

Cancelled ShowsNBC has cut the order to midseason dramedy Love Bites from 13 to 9. The anthology series, originally slated for a fall launch in the Thursday 10 PM slot, was pushed to midseason after a series of setbacks, including the pregnancy of star Becki Newton, the decision by creator/executive producer Cindy Chupack to step down from day-to-day showrunner duties and the exit of Jordana Spiro because of her commitment to TBS' My Boys.

ReplyDeleteThe time for the Anthology series is, sadly, over.
Given that My Boys wrapped production back in Sept '10, as well as having just seen Jordana Spiro on "Harry's Law" (like Love Bites, they're both NBC shows), in which she is guest starring in many episodes--I haven't seen anything past the first episode so I'm just going off of what I've read... I don't even know if the execs at Harry's Law have signed her on for next season or not--I must admit, I am confused about Spiro and what kind of affect it will have on her Love Bites character.
ReplyDeleteI feel like the fact that she's back on NBC (where the underrated Love Bites is meant to air), they may just be grooming her until the chaos over at Love Bites gets sorted out--with a show runner dropping, the oh so fabulous and underrated, Becki Newton, getting pregnant and with the now non-existent ties Spiro had to the cancelled My Boys... Well, I would just like to know when (if ever!) any of this will be sorted out: will Spiro rejoin Love Bites? will Love Bites ever air at all? will all these other nuts and bolts be sorted out before creator/exec producer Cindy Chupack steps back in as showrunner?
