The fact that it has been picked up for a second season is testament to the gifted cast and enthusiastic crew. Although Kris admits “living in ignorant bliss” and not knowing the ratings or how successful Lost Girl is right now, he hopes people are liking it. “I think we are going to get more story-based in the second season.”

    Fine by me. The only drawback to serializing the show is that the stakes are higher.

    On a show with more procedural elements, if you don't like the story one week there will always be a different one the next week you may like better. If the show is serialized and you're not digging the story, you - the audience - are pretty screwed.

    So, I'm all for it as long as they've got a really good story to tell.
