Fringe - John Noble's Twitter Session- Interesting Teasers and Tidbits - Updated!

Dec 10, 2010

Hey, Thought I'd compile a post of some of the spoiler, teaser things that John said in his two Twitter sessions.

Update: I've now included all the interesting tweets he made in the West Coast airing of the episode.
Update: John Noble replied to my tweet!
Can we expect more Nina Sharp in the second half of the Season. Love the work you all do, the best show on TV!
-Nina is an intrigral part of our show. Blair Brown is a brilliant actress.

And the rest of the Teasers/Tidbits :)

What happened 17 years ago? What made Walter and Bell decide to remove parts of his brain?
-It was Bell's decision not Walter's. The reason will be revealed later. It was hinted at in the season 2 finale.

Mr. Noble, do you think we have really seen the last of William Bell?
-Not sure. There may be many more universes, there may even be time travel.

Can you tell us if fringe will be going back over there any time soon or is it all our universe now that olivia is back?
-Yes. I believe we'd need to resolve some issues in the alternate universe.

if there is one alternate universe couldn't there be more. Would you like to play more versions of Walter?
-Yes, that would be fun

If the two universes are collapsing into each other, do you think there can be "holes" in outer space, like those in Earth?
-Possibly. Do some reading on the science of black holes.

I'm gonna be really upset if Peter and Olivia don't wind up together because Fauzlivia screwed everything up! =(
-Well we don't want to upset you so...

Poor Joshua, doesn't get the fun of playing a double character. But he makes up for it by investing Peter with so much.
-Peter is the constant. He is the solution that will solve the universal battle. That's kind of incredible.

So are there any plans to have a confrontation between Walter and Walternate, and if so will it be within this season?
- I feel fairly sure that the two men will meet. It will be an irresistible confrontation. Not sure when.

do you believe (personally) in the idea of the multiverse?
-We know that there are multiple dimensions so it is feasible that there are multiple universes.

Any chance to see Lincoln Lee in this universe?... and know how did he know Nick Lane?
-What an interesting idea. I'll ask someone who knows and report back.

are you guys going to do another musical episode like brown betty?
-nothing planned. But who knows. Depends what drugs Walter's taking.

Only one of the universes will survive, or you believe that it will be another way to make both survive?
-Walternate told us that the universe isnt interested in good or evil, only balance. There will be balance.

what do you expect for the show's mithology now? Go back to Patterns cases, or explore the alternate universe a little bit more?
-We will continue to develop mythology. The Pattern is an important part of that mythology.

I sense that Walter hopes one day Peter will call him "Dad". How deeply do you feel Walter wants this, if at all?
-Naturally, he wants to be called Dad to be accepted. Who knows perhaps later in the storyline.

Do you have any say in Walter's musical tastes? Also, do we find any significance that Walternate doesn't seem to use music?
-Interesting question about Walternate. I'll ask the writers. Thank you.

Other Cool Tidbits:

-FRI night will prob. be a good move for Fringe. It will give us a chance to play uninteruptted & to create a Fringe cult night.

- I prefer playing Walter. Anything goes with Walter. Incredible freedom. Walternate is more stiched up but equally demanding.

-Be sure to tune-in on Jan 21 for a fantastic new episode starring Christopher Lloyd. He is brilliant.

-Yes. I enjoy watching the episodes with my wife. She knows more about what's going on than I do.

That's the best ones I could find, it's worth checking out, there's some funny ones and joke ones and stupid questions asked on his twitter account, @LabDad1.

Hopefully he'll do another, he seemed to enjoy it :)

Adam

  1. oh please, John is full of it when it talks about "poor Joshua". He and Anna are the ones getting all the praise while Josh is being bashed, ignored and criticizied. John, go to hell!

  2. John Noble actually never said "Poor Joshua" that top line is the the comment from the person tweeting and the bottom line about Peter being the constant is John's quote. And while I don't agree with the John go to hell bit, I too hate how Peter has been bashed so much this year. Yes I wasn't happy about his failure to see Altlivia for who she really was either but I can understand why he wrote off the differences and I don't hate him for it.

It's so good to see that. I know it's more John being a fan of the Peter & Olivia romance (as he has openly admitted before) and him giving a playful response, than it is something like the writers coming out and saying P&O will be fine, but still it gives me hope.

  4. Overreacting much?
Yes Peter and Joshua have been getting unfairly trashed by some fans this season, but that is no reason to act like a petty fan over it.

Peter's job at the beginning of the show was to be the straight man to Olivia's cold hero and Walter's eccentric scientist, and as John pointed out, he is now also the bridge between universes. Yes it feels like he hasn't had much to do because season 2 was Walter's season and Season 3 is Olivia's so far, but that doesn't mean Peter has been ignored by the writers and that does not mean that John and Anna have some vendetta against Joshua. Calm down.

  7. John Noble didn't reply my question if he knew Amy Jessup was ever returning this season :( I really want to know what the deal is with her, Fringe division, and Bibles.

  10. *yawn* I get enough drama on my tv, Angel. Quit acting like such a loon. It's not like Mr. Jackson's career even remotely affects you in reality in any way. He's doing great this season, and I look forward to more Peter in the 2nd half.
