Chase - NBC Cuts episodes from 22 to 18

NBC has reduced the order of Jerry Bruckheimer's action drama from 22 episodes to 18.

The Warner Bros-produced series is currently slated for a midseason run starting Jan. 12, moving from Mondays at 10 p.m. to Wednesdays at 9 p.m. (where it will be introduced to the joy of competing against two-hour American Idol performance shows).

Most industry analysts found NBC's full-season pickup announcement for the show back in October to be unexpected. Chase has struggled in the ratings, with the most recent episode delivering 6 million viewers and a 1.6 adults 18-49 rating.

  2. I have yet to watch the show so I can't say that I am disappointed. I do want to give it a chance, though. I just haven't gotten around to it yet...

  3. I'm not surprised. NBC could broadcast the yule log for an hour and they'd get better ratings.

  4. I never took interest on this show so I really don't know if its actually good or bad. But if they are cutting the number of episodes, pretty sure they have a good reason why they decided to do that.

  5. I'm sorry but this show is great , it's just up against stiff competition and NBC has no idea how to schedule anything. They should of at least waited until they moved nights to see how they did. NBC never keeps the decent dramas so I really didn't expect this to get a chance. Plus everybody knows NBC axes everything quickly so most people don't bothering tuning in anyway.

  6. That's too bad. I love the show and think it deserves a chance. It'd be nice if they spiced it up some with a romance between Annie and Jimmy!!!!
