    That would be cool to see Elena become a vampire, but I don't think that would happen this fast....

    It won't. At least not this season anyway. This is what Kevin Williamson has to say about it in a short excerpt from an interview with "The TV Chick":

    "In the books, Elena turned. Is that something you’re ever planning to do on the show?

    KW: I don’t know when but we have a pitch for that — that would get us in and out of that — but that won’t be this year."

    1. Elena WILL get turned at some point of series. Thats the whole point of Damon's compulsion to forget his love confession, story-wise, after all. Its a chekov gun. Compulsions are undone when one becomes a vampire. So its obviously a set up for Elena to remember what damon made her forget in "Rose" episode at some point.
    2. Don't trust anything K.Williamson is saying. Last season he was all stone-honest about Katherine not showing up for a few seasons and on how "we want to build up characters, etc, for the big show down" and so on, on how we will only see flashbacks of her and not in present time. Lookie how that turned out.


    Now I doubt Elena will accept Katherine's proposal, at least not instantaneously. it s a deal with the devil type of situation where someone dark tempts the good guy for power. However she will get vamped one day if only for that chekov's gun that was set up this episode.

    Also, when I think about it with how the next episode is portrayed and that there' a 3 week break after it, we will need a HUGE cliffhanger and what a better cliffhanger would be than....

    I've been told that many times by many people. The fact is that almost everything he says comes to fruition. You can't dismiss everything the man says because he's telling the truth the majority of the time. Is there a chance he's lying? Sure. Is there a SIGNIFICANT chance he's lying. No.
