Lol. No offense, but this sounds like some sort of overrated horror movie :P Maybe mannequins will rise up and attack Sam and Dean. Hahahaaaa... that'll be awesome :P
Or it's a romantic comedy with mannequins who look surprisingly like the cast from Sex and the City coming to life and causing all kinds of hijinks for the Winchesters.
Just a question: have there ever been any movies made that involved mannequins? Because the reckoning sounds rather horror-movieish. Maybe mannequins have been made of Sam and Dean!
My guess is this may be the episode Sam gets his soul back and I'm thinking he's the mannequin referred to in the title and the reckoning is Sam and his soul becoming one again. Although, there were two comedies titled "Mannequin" and "Mannequin 2: On the Move" from the '90's about a guy who falls in love with a mannequin. In the first one the mannequin was an ancient Egyptian who had prayed to the gods to find her true love and she traveled through time and possesses the mannequin and eventually finds her true love. The second one was basically a rip off of the first with a ghost possessing the mannequin. So, I could be totally off but I would say these movies is where they are taking their title from.
The summary of "Mannequin" (1987) "Jonathan Switcher is a young artist. He just doesn't seem to last in any job he does. But when he builds a mannequin, he makes it so perfect, he falls in love with it. It is the first thing he has made that makes him feel like a real artist. The mannequin ends up in the window of a big department store. When he saves the life of an old lady who happens to be the owner of that store, he is rewarded by getting a job at the store as stock boy. Later the mannequin comes to life as Emmy, who was an ancient Egyptian living in the year 2514BC. The two redesign the window display to make it most eye catching in town. The store competitors are not happy and will do anything to stop them!"
My Bloody Valentine made almost 103 million worldwide. It cost 14 million to make. House of Wax made a little over 70 million worldwide and cost 35 million. While neither one pulled in Avatar numbers, it's respectable.
Well I am not even going to guess what the episode will turn out to be about because I probably will be way off. Definitely sound interesting though. We will just have to wait and see when the show return next year for the 2cd half of the series.
My Bloody Valentine was not a hit but the critics did love Jensen in it. they said the saving grace of the movie was the 3D and the acting of Jensen Ackles.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

ReplyDeleteOh god i hope not!!
ReplyDeleteLOL!! Ouch! And Jared was in that film. :P There is an actual 1987 horror film called Mannequin as well. ;D

ReplyDeleteI'm pretty sure that's what they were going for.
hum... sounds fun
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, it was as bad as that sounds.
ReplyDeleteyeah and the remake of My Bloody Valentine was such a hit!
ReplyDeletewhy is it that the title instantly screams Ben Edlund episode to me?
ReplyDeleteThat is probably the weirdest episode title I've ever heard -- even for Supernatural. I love it! :)
ReplyDeleteWow. That title sounds cheesy, but since it's Supernatural it will be awesome. <3

ReplyDeleteI have no idea how anyone can think this title is nothing less than pure awesome.
ReplyDeleteRomantic comedy with Mannequins who look surprisingly like cast...?
ReplyDeleteThat IS Sex & The City.
I don't think they'll take offense to something they intended.
ReplyDeleteWasn't it : Hell Hazers 2 The Reckoning ?? (Hollywood Babylon) ?
ReplyDeleteThere was the pretty bad horror film
ReplyDeleteHouse of Wax (2005)
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0397065/
That's the closest horror film I can remember that is similar to mannaquins lol
I was thinking the exact same thing ;)
ReplyDeleteHahaha trueee... So mannequins are gonna be rising up and attacking Dean and Sam? :P Lol, I really am wondering what is gonna happen in this episode.

ReplyDeleteWell, if it is...after Clap Your Hands if You Believe, I know I will love it.
ReplyDeleteI'm a HUGE fan of the series but I have to be honest, the complete change of pace and the daft flash backs were annoying me.
ReplyDeleteThe music was off kilter, the dialogue was terrible and all in all it was just awful.
I think this was my least favorite episode of Supernatural ever.
The direction was poor, the plot was choppy and everything felt thrown together with none of the usual humour and flare found in the series.
(also way too many montages)
