The episodes just keep getting better and better, and I love the direction of the storylines so far! :) I actually like this soulless Sam, cause it kind of brings back this thing were Dean has to take care and protect him, even if it isn't like before, I still think it's sweet.
I think this is the skinwalker episode where we learn to beware Fido. You know that yappy little dog with the bow that always scares Dean. It seems he was right to be scared.
I love how action oriented this season is getting. Much better than last season. You better get that deal from Crowley in writing dean, and read the fine print. Crowley is more devious than a personal injury lawyer. I lvoe that about him.
damn crowley..., how he can take sam soul when lucifer around sam in cage..., doesn't make sense to me...., it should better than this..., :( but at least we know where sam soul is....^_^
i really dont like the brother work for crowley...:( i hate him from the first place, he big bad ass liar..., how lucifer let crowley do that.., i think crowley not strong enough to resurrection or bring back death ppl to live.., like one of demon said in first epi in s.4 when dean back from death.., she said "no deamon can do that", mean only angel or lucifer itself can..., no make sense, why the writer forgot abt this..., arghh they better kill crowley after this..., find where he keep his bones n burn it to the flame for good.., O_o
Seem weird to me too how much power Crowley suddenly has in comparison to Lucifer. I mean Lucifer looks kike your friendly neighbourhood devil in comparison to Crowley now. And in the fifth season the was the utlimate foe. It makes whatever Sam had to go through in hell look nonrelevant if some demon can come along and take Luficer´s place like it´s no big deal.
I just hope the promo is true and not everything is at it seems.
Great episode. Perhaps Crowley is lying about having the soul. Yes he probably had the power to pull gramps down, also to strike a deal with grampa Campbell (perhaps to bring his wife and Mary back?) but all of a sudden super-super-powers...hmm...Maybe he does want to develop Purgatory but they're probably a lot more to Crowley's plans than he lets them think. It's great the writers are moving this direction and how they have always twisted things that everyone thought were set in stone.
Quick question. After watching the promo in slow motion/stop captioning at 10 seconds into it is Dean looking toward something. What's up with his eye color? Is it just light reflection or are they shapeshifter yellow?
I don't think Crowley or any demon has the power to pull someone out of heaven. I think Gramps had his own tour in hell. Hmm, maybe they can start a support group for that too. Then in one very special episode, Step-Into-the-Light John Winchester can come back as a guest speaker.
I agree it is sweet with Dean protecting Sam, but we have been ther and done that. I think it would be nice to see the roles reversed with Sam having to look after and protect Dean.
See I love it when they have each others back but i LOVE Sam as baby brother to Dean's long suffering big brother mother hen routine, it was what i adored so much about the first two seasons, how much Dean cared for that kid and how much Sam idolized his big bro when they let us see it. I want that dynamic back, i mean its good to see them more equals but i'm SUCH a junkie for woobie Sam, protective Dean i can't even tell you. Also it doesn't feel like Dean's been 'there' this season in his behaviour towards Sam, I mean Sams been acting like a twit but he has no soul and the bond is just not there, I miss Dean who'd shoot anyone who went anywhere near Sam.
I was feeling better about the Sam and Dean relationship until the end. Sam was a little too quick to jump on the Crowley plan (it felt like demon influence trying to sway Dean to do the wrong thing), and then seeing the previews for next week, when Dean is still not accepting Sam as his brother. I'm still suspicious of the Crowley bones burning scene when Sam jumped in with "a deal's a deal" a little too quickly, like he's on Crowley's side. And if Sam's soul is somewhere else, where is Sam? Is he with the body or with the soul? It seems more consistent with the show's mythology that he's with the soul.
i think crowley lie abt he have sam soul..., he is big liar, maybe he just use the situation to make the brother work for him..., he just demon, i dont think he can resurrection ppl (if the writer remember they made this story) was alister n lillith more powerful than crowley they also cant do that..., i just believe castiel theory that sam soul trapped in caged with lucifer n michael (not in crowley hand) but let we see what really happen, ^_*
I love how the brothers back together even little awkward but sam now in dean side..., I Remember when dean explain to sam that what they sampa do is weird n sam just say..., Ooou, LoL, he have no idea what to think what diff right n wrong, he just follow the order.., i hope we will see more fun moment dean with soulless am in few epi..., :D
but in this epi 8, i saw dean start doubt abt sam again, n said sam not sam..., the writer really know how to make audience emo up n down..., i love this show.... :D
Sniper Dean.. kinda hot ;) Next saturday can`t be here fast enough for me ;) oh , and I´m glad that Crowley will show up in this episode too ;) Now just Bobby needs to be back soon ;)
Its because dean still envisions sam as the same innocent little brother he use to have and refuses he changed in the past 5 years. So as long as he's not acting like he use to he's not going to believe its really sam! Their relationship has been changing ever since the whole Ruby thing
I think Crawly is a little more than just a demon, idk what, but some mere demon wouldn't become the king of the underworld when lucifer was gone unless he is way more powerful than any of the other demons around. I just don't think he's let this on yet.
Bobby still had his soul just Crawly's name was on it...its kinda like the crossroads demon deal after 10 years you die and the crossroads get your soul. So Sam's is different because he's completely without a soul and Dean believes if he's without a soul he's not really his brother. He's just a hallow "vessel" persay he has all the memories of Sam but none of the emotions and without the emotions its not really him. Plus dean still looks at Sam as the innocent one however he was ready to believe that that sam was just changing because of the hunt, until the truth demon said that Sam wasn't human thats when Dean's perspective changed about Sam.
Actually Bobby "only" sold his soul, the normal crossroad deal is that you sell your soul to a demon for something you want and said demon gives you that and ten years to enjoy what ever you wished for. So after these 10 years the hellhounds drag you down and you have to pay... with your soul. So Bobby was never soulless!
Am I the only one who has been super impressed with Jared's performance this season?? Jensen's great as usual, but Jared's really stepped up his game this year, making us know that he was different, showing us that he has no real emotions, but keeping it subtle, not making this whole "soulless thing" seem corny. Kudos.
I'm speaking as an equal opportunity Supernatural fangirl (or should that be fanoldlady?) - I don't play favorites with my boys, but Jared's acting is absolutely spectaculacular!
even he more just than a demon but its still demon..., alister n lilith more powerful than him, just because all the top demon already death n now he being the top it doesnt mean he more powerful than them, he still vulnerable with devils trap n the other way white eyes demon n azazel is immune, i just cant believe.., but yeah the writer can write all they want..., just hope not forget what they start :D
As this episode is about a skinwalker, it may be that the one they are using to help them has to turn into Sam for some reason and this ws who Dean was talking to. We have to remember that we cannot take anything for granted as they love to misdirect us.
I think Crowley is powerful enough to take Sam fromt he cage, he would only have to open it up. Lucifer was insidea nd had to break out and past the guards, but if Crowley is King of Hell thent he guards would not be aproblem. Also do we really know that Sam actually died when he fell into the cage. He did have Lucifer inside him and alos if may not have been like death, he may have been alive inthe cage.
But that makes no sense, as we are animals. If a skinwalker can turn into a dog then why not a person. There is no difference between humans and other animals except we have learnt how to use tools and communicate. We like to think we are different, but we are still part of the mammal family, related to the great apes. So why can't they turn into people?
I don't know about skinwalkers, but maybe the soul is key here. The alpha vamp called Sam an animal in the previous episode and Veritas said he wasn't human.
Dean doesn't believe that "Sam" without a soul is really Sam. So that statement was pertaining to the soulless Sam not really being Sam. Some believe that without a soul you are really not that person anymore because you and lifeless and emotionless and without emotion you truely aren't human
No, I wasn't contradicting you. I was saying that skinwalkers take the shape of animals, and without a soul, Sam seems to be classified in the monster world as being in the animal/non-human category .
I am eager to see how sam is going to get his soul back. Too badthey didn't know he was soul-less when Bobby blackmailed Crowley, it could have been a two for 1 soul deal.
heyyyy you got some good points... i hope that is what happens because it just makes me sad that their relationship is still strained... i knew it would be but usually it doesn't last this long lol but to agree Jared is rocking it this season.... bravo bravo!
HAha lol I was going to say the same thing :P The promo is really vague but I still can't wait for it because of sniper Dean. When you thought he couldn't get any more badass than he is already lol.
If Crowley really has Sam soul, Dean and Sam can be in a real bummer. They probably wish they didn't give him back his bones in 'weekend at Bobby's'. If they still had them, they could use that to get back Sam's soul
I wonder if it is a mix of Angels and Demons that are guarding the cage. Demons may want their leader back, and the angels may want Michael back. So have both sides guard the cage to make sure no one gets out.
Get here quick, Friday, because I absolutely cannot wait for this one. This is going to be yet another awesome episode! I hope we get more of a sneak peek as the week progresses. Does anyone know which show won the TV Guide cover for December? Last I saw, it was Chuck. The nice people at TV Guide should have a week each for the top 3 (in my opinion). Seeing Jensen and Jared and Misha would be awesome and I would certainly buy the issue!
And what about the episode where they went into the apartment complex as fire fighters? Dean distracted a fireman by saying he had a "Yorkie upstairs, and he pees when he gets nervous."
I kinda wish Dean would stop that and let Sam actually be a man tbh. I mean I can understand why he envisions Sam that way, but so much as happened over the past five years that nobody can't just NOT expect the man to change. I mean honestly...
But do we honestly know that Lilith and Alastair are more powerful than Crowley? I mean there was never really any proof or hints given. In fact, we haven't even seen Crowley's eyes change color yet, so we don't even know what color his eyes are. We've just seen what we seen. I still can't get Meg's wide eyes and nervousness back in S5 when Cas mentions Crowley and how she says "You don't know Crowley" Keep those things in mind as well. ^_~
yeah we dont know for sure what crowley eyes now n yeah maybe u rite he could be more powerful than alister but i believe not from lillith, i mean she the first demon who made by lucifer itself..., she the first demon... ^_^
all i try to say i just cant believe crowley have that mojo to take everything from the cage, i mean that cage that god made for lucifer, n the placed so deep, n no one tell us the location is, not in heaven, not in hell..., n all this time no demon know the location even azazel, he only find the door..., n i dont think that easy find that cage even crowley claim himself as king of hell or king from king of hell..., :D
The winner will be announced on December 6th - still a while to wait, so we have to keep our fingers, toes, eyes etc crossed. The very last tweet said that SPN was slightly ahead, but who knows? Did you know the poll received nearly 5.5 million votes? Crazy huh? Even TV Guide were amazed, apparently.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
The episodes just keep getting better and better, and I love the direction of the storylines so far! :) I actually like this soulless Sam, cause it kind of brings back this thing were Dean has to take care and protect him, even if it isn't like before, I still think it's sweet.
ReplyDeleteThe title leads my to believe it'll be about werewolves. First dog related creature that comes to mind.
ReplyDeleteI think this is the skinwalker episode where we learn to beware Fido. You know that yappy little dog with the bow that always scares Dean. It seems he was right to be scared.
ReplyDeleteI love how action oriented this season is getting. Much better than last season. You better get that deal from Crowley in writing dean, and read the fine print. Crowley is more devious than a personal injury lawyer. I lvoe that about him.
ReplyDeleteI love sharpshooter!Dean :)
ReplyDeleteThis promo is way too vague.
ReplyDeleteWhat the hell ?!
damn crowley..., how he can take sam soul when lucifer around sam in cage..., doesn't make sense to me...., it should better than this..., :( but at least we know where sam soul is....^_^

ReplyDeleteI couldn't agree more. I think it's sweet too and I hope this is the direction the show takes where their relationship is concerned.

ReplyDeleteUnless I am mistaken, that dog has been in a couple of episodes now. It would be funny to see it again... IMO.
ReplyDeletelook's freaking amazing . SPN IS AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sniper Dean.. kinda hot ;) Next saturday can`t be here fast enough for me ;) oh , and I´m glad that Crowley will show up in this episode too ;) Now just Bobby needs to be back soon ;)
ReplyDeleteAnd here again the promo gave me a headache.
ReplyDeleteDid anyone pay attention to the writing in between hot Dean on the roof? What´s with the "doubt leads to betrayal"-thing?
I hope you don´t banish me one day because I pay attention to such small things
I dont think we see Bobby again until episode 11.
ReplyDeleteDarn
ReplyDeleteBut guys I really dont get it. Why is Dean being so hard on Sam? , I mean Bobby didnt have his soul and Dean didnt treat him like he's treating Sam.
ReplyDeleteIts because dean still envisions sam as the same innocent little brother he use to have and refuses he changed in the past 5 years. So as long as he's not acting like he use to he's not going to believe its really sam! Their relationship has been changing ever since the whole Ruby thing

ReplyDeleteI agree. Jared is really batting it out of the park this year.
ReplyDeleteRest assured - you are by no means the only one.
ReplyDeleteI'm speaking as an equal opportunity Supernatural fangirl (or should that be fanoldlady?) - I don't play favorites with my boys, but Jared's acting is absolutely spectaculacular!
and Exile on Main Street - the Glickman's dog - 'did you almost shoot a Yorkie?'
ReplyDeleteu not the only one here hun...:D
ReplyDeleteeven he more just than a demon but its still demon..., alister n lilith more powerful than him, just because all the top demon already death n now he being the top it doesnt mean he more powerful than them, he still vulnerable with devils trap n the other way white eyes demon n azazel is immune, i just cant believe.., but yeah the writer can write all they want..., just hope not forget what they start :D

ReplyDeleteQuestion: Can skinwalkers take on human forms?
ReplyDeleteCause if they can. Maybe Someone took on Sam´s form and Dean detected it. Then the sentence "Stop pretending, you´re not Sam" makes sense to me.
I don't know about skinwalkers, but maybe the soul is key here. The alpha vamp called Sam an animal in the previous episode and Veritas said he wasn't human.
ReplyDeleteDean doesn't believe that "Sam" without a soul is really Sam. So that statement was pertaining to the soulless Sam not really being Sam. Some believe that without a soul you are really not that person anymore because you and lifeless and emotionless and without emotion you truely aren't human
ReplyDeleteMaybe you are right and I was just chasing ghost - so to speak.
ReplyDeleteI was looking for another explanation for Deans outburst than Sam.
Till next saturday I still hope though ;)
No, I wasn't contradicting you. I was saying that skinwalkers take the shape of animals, and without a soul, Sam seems to be classified in the monster world as being in the animal/non-human category .
ReplyDeleteNow finally I got it :)
ReplyDeleteMan, I am slow today. Thanks for clearing that up.
LOL! I have those days too!
ReplyDeleteOh yeah! But I usually just forget about that episode anyways...it never existed ;P
ReplyDeleteI am eager to see how sam is going to get his soul back. Too badthey didn't know he was soul-less when Bobby blackmailed Crowley, it could have been a two for 1 soul deal.
ReplyDeleteI second that. When was the last time we saw sharpshooter Dean season 2 in Simon Said.
ReplyDeleteheyyyy you got some good points... i hope that is what happens because it just makes me sad that their relationship is still strained... i knew it would be but usually it doesn't last this long lol but to agree Jared is rocking it this season.... bravo bravo!

ReplyDeleteI wonder if it is a mix of Angels and Demons that are guarding the cage. Demons may want their leader back, and the angels may want Michael back. So have both sides guard the cage to make sure no one gets out.
ReplyDeleteWhat, there was other stuff in the promo other than sniper Dean? Holy cow Batman, I'll have to watch again....
ReplyDeleteWell, i just watched it again, and still, the only thing I am noticing is Dean, on a roof, with a rifle and a scope.
Oh well, I guess I will just have to wait until Friday to find out about this "doubt" and "betrayal" business.
Get here quick, Friday, because I absolutely cannot wait for this one. This is going to be yet another awesome episode! I hope we get more of a sneak peek as the week progresses.
