    Poor Sammy :( Dean is obviously still furious at him and his whole soulless thing is obviously not helping. Gosh, this scene makes me feel so sad :( Friday can't come fast enough.

    And seriously Sam? "I don't sleep"? You didn't think mentioning that to Dean might have been a good idea?

    This episode looks great and can I just say that for someone who hasn't had any sleep in over a year Sam looks damb hot (even all bloody and bruised).

    Yeah Sammy that should have had the alarm bells ringing some time ago, but I get why you didn't say anything I mean it's not like you feel the urgency, panic, need to tell anyone. Poor soulless Sammy.

    Lets hope he gets his soul back soon.

    The whole scene is from Sam's PoV. You see it out of Sam's eyes as he's waking up. You feel Sam's confusion over Cas being there. Dean stands there and yells at him and (for those that feel sympathy for Sam) you can't help but feel sorry for him. Then he's confused as to why Cas is trying to diagnose him. Then you get Cas standing in front of him putting a belt in his mouth and he doesn't understand why or what Cas is going to do. You feel the confusion Sam is being plagued with as well as, I reiterate, those who feel sympathy for Sam, you can't help but feel sorry for him and all that he's going through right now. Those who know what's actually wrong feel it even more. Those who haven't seen that spoiler and don't know and have the sympathy for Sam, would actually be feeling sorry for Sam. We're seeing this whole scene from Sam's PoV. Not Dean's and not Cas's.

    I agree with you on this. When Dean starts grilling him about the not sleeping thing, that's where it's pretty much confirmed to me that Dean doesn't believe Sam is an it or a thing or a monster or something just wearing his brother's skin anymore. Dean's attitude is a little uncalled for here. There's no need to be yelling at Sam and just because he can't feel emotions and his feelings aren't getting hurt, doesn't make that justified either.

    And yeah, I know...poor Sammy. It's heartbreaking. It really is. It was nice to get to see this through his eyes though. You can feel his confusion at Cas being there, Cas trying to diagnose him as well as his confusion of why it'd be a big deal to tell Dean he wasn't sleeping even though he does acknowledge there is something really off about it.

    I really hope so too. I don't want to go the entire season with a soulless Sam...I miss my warm, caring, loving, feeling, sensitive, emotional Sammy that I fell in love with. :( <3

    Keep in mind Dean still doesn't know what he's dealing with yet. And it's not like he can trust anything Sam says or does. He knows Sam isn't Lucifer, but Veritas said he wasn't human and Dean has no way of knowing whether that's true or not. He's being a hunter. Sam is subdued and they need answers. Asking nicely isn't going to help, and yeah, Dean's a little pissed. I think he has a right to be. Sam's been hiding the truth and putting other peoples' lives in danger. Even if he can't feel, his confession means he does know right from wrong and chose wrong anyway. I think Dean has a right to be pissed and cautious. He's had enough. I like pissed off Dean, should've happened sooner!

    I knew Dean didn't beat the stuffing out of Sam just because he was angry. It was a smart tactical decision when dealing with an unknown enemy. Of course, it was probably pretty cathartic at the end when he kept hitting him.

    Sam obviously had reasons for keeping the information to himself. He has an agenda. We just don't know what it is yet. It may be that he wanted to continue to be the superhunter. He's used that one before with the demon blood. It may be that he doesn't want feelings back and thinks this is a better way to live. Or it may be much deeper than that. I'm hoping for the latter.

    Remember, Dean doesn't believe that it is Sam. He believes it is whatever has changed Sam. It would be like if this was a demon wearing Sam. Dean's only concern is getting his brother back.

    then why would he care whether 'Sam' was sleeping or not or that he didn't tell him about it for that matter? I think someone has already pointed it out on here and I've read on another message board that it seems Dean isn't entirely convinced 'Sam' is not his brother and is just some monster wearing his brother's body. Just saying.

    Funny. I think Dean was really restrained compared to the other times he has interrogated monsters, and Dean has every reason to believe that Sam is one. Plus, this Sam-Thing has spent the last month or so lying to him, so he can't trust him. Dean was laying down the rules of the interrogation, but he really wants to believe that this is his brother and he can be saved. Therein lies the problem since he wants to be forceful and detached, but finding out about Sam not sleeping throws him for a loop. First off, as a hunter he should not have missed that. Second, as someone who's life revolved around taking care of his brother for so long, it is a clear sign of just how wrong things are between them. I think Dean doesn't know what is going on and is falling back on instinct and his training. He wants to believe but he doesn't have the luxury of doing so.

    why would he tell Dean? I mean he cant feel therefore he cant feel the urgency, the wrongness, the fear, the 'OMG I haven't slept for an entire year', he can acknowledge the fact and he knows that it's not normal but he cant emote. As far he's concerned (or not concerned as it is) he doesn't sleep, it doesn't affect his ability to hunt, seems to have no ill physical affects that we know of. It's not really a secret, if you ask me especially since it doesn't affect Sam in any way (rather it is an affect) and therefore doesn't affect Dean at all?

    I'm just glad he put down that sharp object before he started wailing on Sam. O.o I mean, could you imagine?...Nevermind, I don't want that image in my head. I think both of you are right...in a way: I think Dean did need to lay down some ground rules, and I really think he is sort've restraining himself, but damn is he ever abrasive in this clip. I understand the monumental betrayal he perceives from Sam, but it's still really...I don't know, a little too much for me. "Are you...diagnosing me?"

    I think he's on the fence and is going between two very heavy different thoughts: either it isn't his Sam, and this thing has been parading around manipulating him for whatever his motives, or it IS Sam, and he's so foreign in his manner, his tendencies, and his actions that this option scares Dean even more so. Either way, Dean's no where near stable right now, and every tidbit that Sam is now sharing is freaking Dean out even more.

    and yeah, Dean is overreacting a bit, but on the other hand, I get why he's so pissed - he has just lost Lisa and Ben (in a way because of Sam), he obviously still cannot forgive Sam the fact he lived a whole year without letting him know and he's pissed because Sam has never told him there might be sth wrong about him.

    Think back to Dean's interrogation of Meg (in season 1 when they were looking for John and when she was in Sam). This is Hunter Dean when he's looking for answers. His actions and manner here are pretty consistent when dealing with a monster. As far as he knows, Sam's not Sam, but a monster.

    But even if he doesn't feel anything, he knows that keeping secrets with Dean always ends up in a bloody fight. He doesn't feel anything, but he knows there is something wrong with him, he knows that what he's doing isn't what usual sam would do, so he just decides to not tell dean for his self-interest (or bigger plan, whatever). It's just that after everything, it would be the logical thing to do, tell dean and find a solution or just accepting the situation. But he doesn't. Bad sammy, bad! :DDDDDDDD

    I'm sorry. I didn't mean to take your comment offensively. I just literally right as you posted that had the shit insulted out of me on a forum and then was accused of all kinds of crap I didn't do and seeing that too I was just ready to explode. I am very sorry. It's not that you insulted me, it's just I feel like this person was trying to shove their opinion down my throat and make me change my mind. Then when I didn't agree, said person got REALLY nasty with me and started accusing me of things and I never did or said in regards to Dean getting turned into a vamp back in ep 5. I am a Samgirl, but I love Dean too. I'm just a bit upset with him right now is all, but that doesn't mean I hate him and she just took it the wrong way. I UNDERSTAND (caps for emphasis, not yelling) why he did what he did last ep, I UNDERSTAND why he's yelling and kinda flying off the handle now, I just didn't feel it was necessary for him to yell at Sam like that. That's all. Anyway, I'm sorry again. I just felt I owed you an explanation. It was just kind of a build up from what happened earlier. I've since calmed down. So my apologies again.

    Oh dear god...I don't even want to think about it. I think Dean needed to lay down the ground rules too, but I also do not feel that Dean thinks Sam is an it, thing or monster anymore. Once Cas questioned Sam about his sleeping and Sam said "I don't." And Dean replies with "At all?" And Sam says "Not since I got back." Dean replied with "And that never occurred to you that there might be something off about that?" That comment right there (IMO) suggested to me right away that Dean does know that this is Sam. Why on earth would he question a monster about his sleeping habits? Doesn't make a whole lot of sense if you ask me. I really understand why Dean's all riled up, but the way he was talking to Sam and Sam just sitting there all beat up and vulnerable just made me feel really sorry for him. I can't imagine what it's going to be like when Sam gets his soul back.

    And yes! lol Doctor Cas! Loved it.

    One of my favorites of all time. It, the twist at the middle, and the cliffhanger at the end are what make Devil's Trap my favorite season ender. I was scared during that interrogation.

    Remember when Sam thought Dean was standing between him and Ruby? BEATDOWN! Remember when Lucifer thought Dean was sticking his head in other people's business? APOCALYPTIC BEATDOWN! Remember when Dean (several times during seasons 1 and 2) thought Sam was wrong? PUNCHINTHAFACE! Remember when Michael was pissed at Anna for trying to smite Sammy because she thought that her killing him would end all their problems? EXPLOSION! ...and the list goes on. XD

    I'm sick of people bitching about which brother's got it worse and how awful the violence is in this show. Just get over it or watch something else. If it's got your undies in a bunch, watch an uplifting comedy or musical variety show.     Of course he cares about Sam. Most definitely. I never once for a moment thought he didn't. I never once for a moment thought Dean hated him even though he beat Sam down last episode. I understand perfectly and I get why Dean is angry, I really do. I just wish he'd calm down a bit. That's all really. And I just want Sam fixed so bad so we can have our Sammy back. :( :(

    I think you make a valid point... Maybe this Sam is fine with NOT feeling. I mean, sometimes when bad things happen in my life, i wish i could be numb to it all.

    If this Sam feels, He's gonna feel it ALL, every bad thing, or feeling he has ever had, all the mistakes he's made, and he was a mess last season. The cage, Lucifer.... all of it.

    From this point of view, i can understand this Sam. Don't we all not wanna feel at some point? Wouldn't it be easier sometimes?

    actually this show not aired in my country since s.1 n 2 so i must wait my friend to copy for me, but i hv to wait 2 - 4 week.., this 2 week i thinking to download my self.., i try to find the site but mostly only ask me to download this or that..., that i dont understand what connection to show that i want to download..., can u gave me the site where i can download them? :D

    I Don't think you can say Dean doesn't feel bad just from the sneak peek. At this stage Dean is still unaware of what is up with Sam and he wants some answers. I bet when he knows what is going on he will feel bad, in fact he probably does but just has to hide it to find out what is wrong with Sam.

    I got the feeling, that poeple see me as "Sam-Defender". I´d like to set the record straight. I don´t hate Dean! I love both characters.
    It just seemed sad to me (only my opinion and I don´t want to influence anybody) that so many were ready to give up on Sam and I wanted to remind, that every coin has two sides.

    yeah that im trying to say..., we have to see everything from both side considering we have 2 central character in this show, n we cant dismiss one of them, i just hope ppl support this show n the brothers n maybe they will made another season if we do (or maybe that only my wish).., if the audience split up became 2 or maybe 3 side as far i know dean corner (sam hater) i saw this for week2 ago, sam corner (dean hater) i just saw this few day :P, n the worse dastiel corner (dean-cas) who want this show with they both n dismiss sam (sigh)...,

    i also dont want influence everybody, even i got my self influence, not influence from sam corner, call me weird or silly that influence me just because ppl start hate sam blind.., LoL,
    n i also love the brothers n i hope i can keep that way, n not became 1 of that corner.., :D

    I never said Dean shouldn't be pissed. He should be. Sam took too big of a risk letting Dean get turned. There is, however, a HUGE difference between being pissed at your brother for exploiting you and committing a brutal assault that could of had permanent damage. There's no excuse for that.

I mean Dean love's Sam don't know if you member but Dean did'nt even kill Sam when Sam had killed some in season 2 "Born under a bad sign" when Sam was posessd but did'nt know that and Sam asked him to kill him and would never . God he sold his soul for him . Em if you don't agree with me then cool we have different opinion's but "brutal assault " is a little bit far fetched bad beating then ok .

    Sorry but if i were Dean i would be pissed aswell . When he losses Sam which in a way he goes angry and insane e.g "All hell break's loss part 2" when he pushed Bobby and sold his soul for Sam cause he could not stand to be without him. Also tbh it is not really Sam that he is hurting it's the thing inside him which we all don't know what that is yet , i loved Sam and miss him but that ain't Sam , i would be pissed of with Dean if that was really Sam in there but is not . x
