Now every year TV shows - especially Sitcoms - do Thanksgiving episodes. And since there are quite a lot I was wondering which are your favorites? Do you have any episodes you watch every year, almost like a tradition? Or do you even despise those episodes?
Personally I'm not a big fan of holiday episodes but there are quite a few that are funny. I'm especially thinking of all the "How I Met Your Mother" Thanksgiving episodes. They always have great ideas (just like this year) and the Slapsgiving episodes definitely are high on my top list.
I also liked last night's episode of "The Middle". (the funniest show you're not watching by the way!)
So make sure you sound off below and won't become the Blitz!

Happy Thanksgiving to all our American Friends
ReplyDeleteGossip Girl always has amazing thanksgiving episodes this year thanksgiving ep is still next week usually they're Chuck / Lily centered
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen last night's Modern Family, yet, but How I Met Your Mother's "Slapsgiving" episode was my favorite......unitl "Blitzgiving". I know guest star Jorge Garcia/LOST references is a total gimmick, but it's one that I loved AND appreciated. HIMYM, though uses a faint laugh track, is a show to which I can relate. Having said that, I'll watch this season's Modern Family TG ep.
ReplyDeleteThe Party of Five Thanksgiving episode where each of the Salingar's meet/confront the drunk driver that killet their parents.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely Friends or How I Met Your Mother.
ReplyDeleteI was hoping for a Modern Family Thanksgiving show though
I love holiday episodes, I love the Simpson's halloween episodes, and all Thanksgiving episodes from Gilmore Girls, Dharma and Greg, Scrubs and Friends but I'm more into Christmas than Thanksgiving. So I don't have any particular episode that I watch every year. But I watch 'A very Supernatural Christmas', 'Christmas Vacation' and 'The Gremlins' every 24th Dec.
ReplyDeleteCould someone please tell me if the Thanksgiving episode of Parenthood was on Tuesday night, because I haven't been able to find in anywhere! Thanks!

ReplyDeleteFriends Season 6 hands down. However, HIMYM Slapsgiving is a close second. All Friends Thanksgiving episodes were hilarious though.
ReplyDeleteThe Last Thanksgiving on "Friends", with the "Floating Heads." Hilarious every time.
ReplyDeleteCelebrating my First Thanksgiving Today! Food is smelling Good!
ReplyDeleteI always thought of Friends with Thanksgiving! :) They had some corkers of Thanksgiving episodes!
I say Friends, How I Met Your Mother and The Simpsons episode where Bart runs away from home. :)
ReplyDeleteMy favorites on Friends - TOW Underdog Gets Away (High Pitched!Monica) and the season six episode with all the truth revealing is awesome.
ReplyDeleteThe HIMYM Thanksgiving episodes are always awesome.
So are the Roseanne Thanksgiving episodes! I loathe the last season, but the Thanksgiving episode where Bev comes out of the closet is hilarious.
Greatest line from a sitcom EVER (in my book) still goes to the “Frasier” Thanksgiving episode “I have…a turkey so woefully undercooked that a skilled veterinarian could still save him!”
ReplyDeleteHappy thanksgiving to all the US readers!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite Thanksgiving episode is by far "Blitzgiving" from #HIMYM. It was just UNBELIEVABLE and now I just love Jorge Garcia.
